The Burger Lounge, on Nordhoff in Northridge, touts to serve grass fed beef. This is a unique place, because they have several selections that you will not find anywhere else. If you are a fan of burgers, you need to visit here. This time, I decided to go without the bun, so it was the Paleo burger (beef, applewood smoked bacon, grilled zucchini, grilled tomato, avocado, daikon sprouts). It was truly super. Not dry. Juicy. Enticing construction. Satisfying taste. Perfect temperature. For the side, I had the half-and-half, of onion rings and fries, both fantastic. Accompanying sauces were also superb. This is a burger place, that is crushing the competition. Come here, and you will come back again.

    That Famous Sandwich (done right!)

Tonight I saw & tried the new "That Famous Sandwich" - overall I have to say it was pretty good. It could have used a bit more flavor to really make it stand out more. It reminded me of McDonald's McRib sandwich, just longer. The staff did a great job as usual with providing excellent service & ensuring all the customers felt welcomed. The restaurant was clean & orderly.

Burger Lounge has tasty, juicy hamburgers and fries that my family enjoys. It has quickly become one of our favorite spots. The space is clean, modern, and spacious. There is also plenty of parking. I highly recommend this burger joint to anyone, but I do want to add that if you're picking up to go, check your burgers first. Tonight was the second time in a row that I order the California Lounge and they don't include avocado. When I ordered today, I asked the girl at the register if it comes with avocado because when I came in last time, it did not have it. She confirmed that it does and when I got home, I confirmed they once again did not add the avocado.

We have been here so many times and every single time it doesn't disappoint, everything is always on point, the one time something was missing they made it right quickly and always with a genuine smile. Great customer service, great burgers, made with tallow instead of unhealthy oils, many healthy options, the drinks are great and healthier options, kids meals come with ice cream and whip cream (optional) Onion rings are great, and burger are tasty. Definitely recommend!

Wanted to try a new burger place and came here. The windows were so dark that we weren't sure if they were even open because we couldn't see inside, but once you're inside, you welcome the shade because it was hot out that day! I got the mushroom truffle Swiss burger with lettuce wrap and fries, and I gotta say, other chains might give a couple pieces of lettuce in place of bread, but Burger Lounge legit put like 5 pieces on top and bottom, it was nice! I wasn't a huge fan of the fry seasoning, but they were still pretty good. They included some very nifty looking wooden utensils as well. Overall, decent for the price, I liked it quite a bit.

First time trying and I gotta say, it's really good! They have the best onion rings. The restaurant was comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive and welcoming. This experience makes me want to come back!

We visited on a weekend with friends and noticed a sign on the door that read, "Kids eat free on Tuesdays." My youngest insisted we return that Tuesday so they could eat for free. While we enjoyed our meal and had fun during the weekend, this review focuses on our Tuesday visit. Upon arriving, the staff member taking our order was extremely helpful in explaining the details of the kids eat free promotion (I left him a nice little tip). You receive a free kids meal for every burger or salad you order, so my mom's and my meal made for two free kids meals, which included either a cheeseburger or chicken strips, french fries, a drink, and an ice cream. After placing the kids' orders, I ordered the bacon blue burger, which was amazing, along with regular fries and a medium drink. I must mention that their burgers are extremely soft. Whether it's the patty, the bread, or both, the burger melts together in your mouth, offering a unified flavor rather than individual tastes of bacon, patty, and lettuce, if that makes sense. This was a huge plus! Overall, the service was great, and there was plenty of seating inside, though it might get a bit cramped on busy days. Fortunately, they have a patio section outside, which the kids enjoyed running around at. Everything was clean, and they offer really good lemonade-flavored drinks, such as mint basil and hibiscus, which were delicious and came with refills. We'll definitely be back this Tuesday and I highly recommend taking your kids to take advantage of this cool offer while it last. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

Been in this new plaza many times but my first timing trying burger lounge. Pros: Good amount of parking, the burger was moist and delicious, fries were well seasoned, place inside is very clean and spacious and they have some nice weekday deals before 5pm. Good burger variety and I like the 50/50 option of fries and onion rings. Cons: Busy area and lot can get busy dependent on time of day with so many businesses in there. Food is definitely not cheap as my burger and 50/50 was $21.84 but the food was good so if you can afford it, go for it. Was a bit slow and felt bad for the employee manning the register as she also had to make milkshakes All in all 4/5 and I'd recommend. With hook in Woodland Hills closed, this serves as the heir to the throne for a good burger in the valley.

Tiny fries, the size of half a pinky

More expensive than In n Out and The Stand and not as good. I was surprised that 2 adult burgers, 2 kids burgers, one side order of half onion rings/fries, and 3 shakes came out to over $100. When I asked for an itemized bill, it turns out that they charge extra for lettuce and pickles! That's a violation of burger joint code IMHO. You don't charge extra for pickles and lettuce. Moreover, the side of fries we got was really odd. Every single fry was half the size of my pinky! Like little nubs of broken chalk. See my photo. Not sure if we'll be back but options for turkey burgers, Impossible meat, and salads are a positive. Overall atmosphere was nice - big booths and lots of parking.

Just stopped by and grabbed a lounge burger with caramelized onion and American cheese. It was pretty good. The burger was a decent size too. I am used to smaller smash burgers that have been everywhere lately. This is like a good old fashion burger. I like how you can customize the order with various options. It wasn't too busy when I stopped by. My order was ready in 10 mins and pick up was a breeze. Definitely recommend.

4.5 Star Rating Burger Lounge in Northridge has a very good, more than decent, burger! What sets this place apart from most fast-casual spots is the undeniable quality of their ingredients - you can taste it with every bite Value - 4 Their burgers run on expensive side, probably a bit more than I'm comfortable with to be a regular. But here's a pro tip: check out their "Inflation Buster" deals! You can often snag one of their signature burgers for up to 50% off, which makes it great deal and totally worth it. Food - 5 The food here is consistently amazing. I've been a fan since their first location opened in San Diego, and I've literally had everything on their menu. The beef is amazing, the chicken is amazing, and even their turkey patty is awesome. My absolute favorite is still the Quinoa burger (ehem, I mean the "Ancient Grains" burger, even if that phrase isn't my fave - it makes it sound unappetizing!). It's fried perfectly, has a nice crunch, and is packed full of healthy fats and protein. The flavors are always on point, and they aren't stingy with the sauces, which is a huge plus. Service - 5 The staff here are super great! They're friendly, efficient, and as mentioned, they are definitely not stingy with the sauces, which is always appreciated. Physical Location - 5 The place itself is big and airy, with plenty of space to enjoy your meal. They also have a really nice outdoor patio, which is perfect for relaxing. The cleanliness, decor, and overall environment are excellent.

Five star! Quality of my burger was beyond words! Very cool and respectful staff are here , they ask you if you if everything is good? Or if you want to refill, napkin, tensile, ! BTY ,music is not too loud to let you enjoy your food , Thank you!

Half and half... there are some fries and even more onion rings buried underneath. Good stuff

Tried first time; the place is across that awful kebab shop place, and next to Qwench Juice/identity crisis bar. The place is narrow yet inviting, with oversized comfy booth type seating. Took about 20 minutes to get our order as you are fighting with a ton of to go orders to get served quick, so need to expect some extra wait; for just over 40 bucks we got: 1 Mexican coke=as always strong like bull. (A) Fried chick sando=I'd say above average from all the fried chicken sandwiches I've tried; good breading, toppings, just not much flavor. The buffalo given is oddly spicy and can pass as a hot sauce more than buffalo (just stick to Franks, G.) (B rating) Standard burg-it's like a Big Mac copy 1000 island on the side (great sauce) it was solid yet unspectacular. (B+) 1/2 and 1/2 onion rings and fries...for 7 bucks (just 1 dollar more) you get the large size and its deceptively overwhelming portion, easily splitable. Great crunch and perfectly fried rings, with again, a very odd almost sweet sticky BBQ sauce, no smoke, almost like a salsa, very bizarre. Can tell these sauces are house made, but they just don't work optimally for the food. (Except the 1000 island, that was great.) Fries are fresh cut style, texture cooked evenly and not soggy/oily like that awful 5 guys crap, but too salty for me. (B+ for combined side.) In all, it was good to try, may come back, but nothing worth fiending over so probably won't. And kudos for having organic ketchup pumpers; first I've seen anywhere in FF burger joints.

    I had the Paleo bowl.

The buns were quite small and a bit smooshed, but they were soft. It came with some fry sauce and pickles as well, overall a good burger. Parking: Street parking was super easy on a Sunday afternoon, I was able to pull up right in front and park on the street. There is a Super A across the street and ample parking around for free. Ambiance & Food: This reminds me of an old school burger stand. Those were the best burgers and this one did not stop that trend. As I walked up, we were warmly greeted and given a quick rundown of what which burger. They did have specials (I will get to that in a second) which we were intrigued, but for the sake of perspective, I ordered the Goldburger and both regular fries and curly fries with a bottle coke. The Goldburger is naturally a double, but my gymrat protein brain added that extra patty. They use a 70% to 30% mixture for their burger which makes the burger oh so decadent. The picture I took doesn't do it justice. The moment you bite into the burger the combination of burger juice, aioli, burnt skirt, all come together in such a harmonious fashion. It was remarkable. Though fries are not one of my strong points, both fries were crispy and I haven't had any other experience with Curly fries other than Jack in the Box, but these were so much better. I went ahead and dipped the fries in some homemade Aioli and dang, what a combo! Back to those specials, the current special is CHILI, I was intrigued so they gave me a small container of it to try. Man, if I wasn't watching my caloric intake, that would have been the move. It was rich and chunky and not to soggy which some always comes. Give it a try as they said it will be around for sometime. Other than burgers, they do have hot dogs as well. So worth trying both next time. To be perfectly honest, this brought back so much nostalgia for me, I used to go to school in the area and this brought a lot of those memories back. Excellent beers on tap for $5-$6 and even an espresso martini for like $14. Chicken sandwich was always on point and also a big fan of the Morrison Trio. Owner was always pleasant and the servers were top notch. I never had an item on the menu that was not delicious. And I tried just about everything on their rotating happy hour menu. I remember they were selling $10 Don Julio 1942 shots one time because it was Cinco de Mayo week. Great times and memories made at this restaurant. Holiday decor was always great to see especially during Halloween. A true loss. Bring it back please! If there are any Dodgers fans out there with a good pregame spot, please reply with recommendations seeing how I do not have one anymore.

The staff was friendly and very attentive. The wings and drinks themselves were super flavorful and I thought I would have more time to enjoy and come back to visit while in town. My partner also tried their burger and fries and decided to stop by the restaurant only to find out they closed a couple of months ago. It was worth the visit when we went there back in December.z The place was cute and it felt comfy.

I happened to be in the area, and even though I'd already eaten, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to finally drop in. Irv's originally opened in 1946 as Queen's Burgers, located right on Route 66 on Santa Monica Boulevard in WeHo, and was deeply ingrained in LA's historic car culture. In 1970, Irv Genis bought the stand and renamed it Irv's Burgers, and it quickly became a legendary late-night spot for rock icons like Bob Dylan and Jim Morrison. By 2000, Sonia Hong took over, famously hand-drawing doodles on the paper plates alongside her signature slogan, "Just for you." After closing in 2013 and again in 2018, Lawrence Longo partnered with Sonia in 2021 to bring the brand back to life. They've since expanded quite a bit, even opening locations in Malibu and Las Vegas. On a staff recommendation, I ordered Irv's Original Roadside Burger Double ($11.25). Honestly, it was just okay. While a certain amount of grease and salt is expected with a burger, this one crossed the line into being a bit too salty and oily. On the bright side, the sesame bun was excellent, and I loved that they kept Sonia's legacy alive by printing her classic doodles on the tray placemats. While I'm glad Irv's was saved from history and is expanding, the food itself felt pretty so-so. The outdoor tables were also a bit dirty during my visit. I still love that classic roadside burger stand aesthetic with the outdoor stools, but unfortunately, I won't be in a rush to head back.

To say I'm super bummed is an understatement. I am so thankful that I happen to stop by for lunch and visit this location one last time. The same manager was there on the last day as when I went the first time two years ago. The staff there was always amazing, friendly, and the food was incredible. I think it was the Chinatown location that didn't work for them. However, the good news is that they do have three other locations and if you have never been, I suggest you check Kroft out if you love burgers, especially smashed. The other locations are in Long Beach, Anaheim, and Rancho Cucamonga. I wish them luck and I will definitely be stopping in their other locations if I am ever in the area.

The order pick up window person shouted my name to the kitchen each time I checked in. Finally the 3rd time they responded, they start arguing, apparently my order was done a long time ago, and it was given to someone else. It took 30min to figure out that my order had already been done and given to someone else because there was no communication between the kitchen, order staff or pick up staff. no apology, just got my food after the argument 3minutes later...Food was average, definitely not worth a 30min wait.
