Great spot for a casual lunch with friends! We started with the Red Ginger Green Beans for the table, which were a fun way to kick things off. Between us, we ordered the ABC Burger, The Stand Burger, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, and the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I asked for a couple of modifications to my Buffalo Chicken Sandwich--no slaw and add blue cheese crumbles--and the cashier was incredibly friendly and happy to accommodate. It did not disappoint! The fire sauce definitely lived up to its name and had my mouth on fire for a minute, but I cooled it off by adding a touch of ranch to each bite. The blue cheese crumbles were the perfect addition, as well. Everyone in our group was happy with their meal, and I really like the casual ordering setup. You order and pay right at the register, which makes it especially convenient when you're meeting a group of friends because there's no worrying about splitting the check at the end. But one week ago my wife and I were going to a concert in Thousand Oaks and just wanted a quick burger beforehand so we went to The Stand in Thousand Oaks. The burger there was just as mediocre as the one in Northridge. And the service messed up so badly with our order that they gave us a $20 gift card which was a nice gesture. So today I decided to use the gift card for a hot dog at the Northridge restaurant. While the hot dog itself was fine, the bun was hard, seemed stale and actually fell apart as I ate the sandwich. A hot dog bun should be warm, soft and flavorful. Not this one! Again, just poor quality. But their complimentary pickles are delicious. read more

Extremely unacceptable and aggressive behavior from an employee at this location (19600 Plummer St). I came in to pick up an order and kindly asked a female employee for a cup of water, offering to pay for it. She politely gave me a cup. While I was taking a drink, a short, heavily built male employee with a beard aggressively approached me, physically snatched the cup right out of my hands, and started rudely shouting at me, telling me to never come back. I offered to pay on the spot, but he continued to be extremely hostile and disrespectful. Grabbing things out of a customer's hands and exhibiting such aggressive behavior is completely uncalled for. This employee's appalling behavior completely ruined my day. Management and the owner need to address this specific staff member immediately. Made my first visit to this company at this location as they were sponsoring a fundraiser for a local good cause. It was a busy dinner rush during a World Cup Match. The line was busy but wait was not long. Between a French Onion Soup Burger, cup of chili, regular fries, and Thai Iced Tea Shake, I was very satiated and impressed. My only knock would be some of my fries tasted funny but the rest were fine. Staff members took time to check on me while they made their rounds of the floor. The Stand has a lot of solid food choices for different dietary needs. This location has plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors. I ordered meals for my kkds, and I love that they have plenty of options for kids entrees and sides. We got a grilled cheese which my daughter didn't like. She's a bit persnickety so that doesn't mean much. All I could tell is the bread was a little sweet. So maybe we'll try in the future with different bread. My son got a turkey burger which could've used a little more salt. He said it was just ok. But I like that you can add whatever veggies and condiments that you want. He also got the chips which were house made and good. I got the grilled chicken kids meal with Mac and cheese and I also got a side salad. The chicken had minimal seasoning but it wasn't bad. I put it on top of my salad. The salad was made with a spring mix with added cucumbers, tomato, and bell pepper. It was fresh and light and was good with the chicken. I got the house vinaigrette which was very tangy. Next time I'll try a different dressing. The Mac and cheese was bland with a liquidy sauce. My daughter didn't line it, my son said it was fine. I didn't mind it but didn't love it. Even though my review may not be glowing, it was still a really solid meal. I felt that everything was fresh and not heavy and the price for what we did was good. Definitely one of the more busier locations but great food nonetheless. Tonight I ordered the big blue burger protein style along with a kids meal. I have to say I really love the protein burgers here, they are well wrapped & never fall apart & are also super filling. I typically order the jalapeño burger protein style (highly recommend) but tonight I wanted to switch it up & try something new. The big blue burger wasn't as good as the jalapeño burger but it was still flavorful & filling nonetheless I'd still recommend this one if you're someone who likes blue cheese. As mentioned above, this location is very busy so be prepared for a little bit of a wait time along with having to navigate finding seating. The store itself was well kept for the most part given the busy atmosphere however, service was lacking. I've gotten used to the friendly helpful service I receive at other locations so I was surprised when I didn't receive the same here. I was also frustrated & disappointed that they would not let me give my phone number to receive points since I used the first responder discount. It just doesn't make sense to me that because I'm using a first responder discount I can't receive points for the food that I am paying for. Seems a little odd logic to me along with being unfair. Parking is hectic as the plaza parking fills up pretty fast. Overall, while this isn't my favorite location it is still worth coming here as the food is good. read more
