The "food" was horrible honestly shortly after eating i felt like throwing up, the "master burgers" are NOT good, nor are the corn dog nuggets. i would even say school cafeteria food is better, the two stars aren't even deserved, being that the decor wasn't there. the service was as expected normal. everything else tho genuine garbage, took one bite and was done felt like eating cardboard it was so stale. it had that 6 hours under a heat lamp taste, even mcdonald's is better man. I've been going to burger master for a long time now, but unless things change, I don't think I'll be back. Went today and it was almost $18 for a burger and onion rings, no drink. When I asked for a water they said it would be $3. They said they charge for the cup, not what goes in it. Which I guess means you can bring your own cup and just fill up with whatever. They call themselves burger master. There is nothing master about it. Frozen patties with no seasonings cooked on flat top. I threw mine in the trash. If they grilled on a charcoal grill and seasoned their meat properly then it would back the name. This is for tourists. We are locals and not impressed read more

This place is all about the location. It's right off the main road in Townsend near the entrance to the Smoky Mountain National Park. My group stopped by for ice cream after hiking in Gatlinburg. The line to order was long, but they had a good system in place to serve people quickly. We had ice cream and cheese fries... it was all good but not anything unusual or special beyond the great location. All the seating is outdoors, and it was HOT when we were there in the afternoon. Went back now that the place has changed hands and had a remodel. Love the place and won't knock stars off for the wait because the food is great but the prices are not. The burgers are great but approaching steakhouse prices for things. Our order wasn't correct but mistakes happen. It was quickly and politely corrected! Ice cream is worth getting and if ordered at time of your food but you'd like to wait to finish your meal, you can go to the cold foods window for pick up. You cannot order from the cold pick up window if you changed your mind and wanted ice cream after your meal. We will go back but might grab kiddos food elsewhere because it was around 50 bucks for four of us with two kids meals. read more

Nice easy atmosphere to refuel after a long day hiking with little ones, but the food does leave something to be desired. This review is mainly to serve as a reminder to myself not to order a swirl cone since I don't enjoy the vanilla here. The chocolate dipped chocolate cones are decent, and the French fries with the homemade ranch are nice. I don't know why I had the expectations of the all beef hot dog being like a stadium dog. One of these things is definitely not like the other, but that was more of a personal expectation management issue than anything else. This place is known for it's ice cream. Multiple nights is a row they have been "out" of vanilla soft serve an hour before closing. Seems suspicious as they have turn away person after person who doesn't want their chocolate. Burger Master is my favorite spot to visit while on vacation in the area. After hiking all day in the Mountains, ice cream from Burger Master is the best treat. I always have to get the dipped cone- it is super messy, but well worth it. If you're a tourist in the area, I would highly recommend grabbing ice cream before or after a drive through Cade's Cove- a scenic driving loop down the road. One night we left the park late- as Burger Master was already closed- and the employees were kind enough to serve us our cones even though their day was wrapping up! read more

Was told this was the place to come for a burger and ice cream. Believe the ice cream part but the burger part was meh.. Sunday evening stop for our group after driving through the mountains. Long wait to order which was fine until we got to the counter. Girl taking the order was either new and didn't know the system or else just didn't want to be there. Either way not so pleasant. You order your food and ice cream if you want any. They allow you to get food first and then go up and get your ice cream when ready which was nice as no waiting in line twice. Burgers were pretty basic and not flavorful. Fries were crispy. Everyone one of our burgers was either missing something or plain when we didn't order that way. Condiments were out of stock and despite several people asking had to give up and go without. Cute place. Go for the ice cream, but skip the burger. read more

While visiting Cades Cove I had some vehicle trouble and it was getting late. My wife and I had our 2 week old son and they were just closing up for the night when we pulled in. A man named Cody went out of his way to drive us an hour back to our cabin at 11pm and refused any sort of money we offered. I had to go back the following morning to repair my truck so I decided to grab a burger and it was excellent. Will recommend to everyone I know that comes to visit and will be back every time I'm in town! The food is fine but today I was behind a young lady that had an episode of some sort and fell and hit her head.O have worked in the medical field for over 25 years and told her boyfriend not to move her. A birgermaster employee came out with a chair and instead of putting it near her had her boyfriend get her up and walk around the building instead of waiting for the paramedics. This could have caused irreparable damage and even paralyzed her if she had fractured her neck . It seemed the burgermaster employee was more worried about getting her out of the way than her health and safety. Please tell your employees that if something like this happens again to not move them until checked out by a professional.
