The Bison Burger was great. Tasty onion rings and a root beer float made it a good diner. We will be back to try the elk burger.

Been trying to get to this place for a while and finally had the chance today. The service, the…read morevibe, the food, everything was just right. Maybe on the pricey side but I think it was very fair for the quality they serve. On a Sunday afternoon it was a constant stream of customers, but they have some indoor seating and plenty of covered outdoor seating with misters. Ketchup and water dispenser available along with packaged condiments like more ketchup, mustard, mayo, and even malt vinegar. Names are called on the speaker and they have several windows to pick up at. Orders are placed inside or outside at the window. It's pretty neat and makes for a perfect blend of updated/nice with great old school charm. I ordered the Guido (pastrami burger), halfsies (family size of fries and onion rings, opted for waffle fries), and a vanilla twisty with heath bar. The Guido is excellent, but you have to know what you're in for. With the pastrami and the deli mustard, it tastes overwhelmingly like a pastrami sandwich and less like a burger. But the patty, cheese, and veggies do add something to it. It's also very messy, but it was delicious. The onion rings were excellent. They have that smooth batter style, sorta kinda like tempura. My wife prefers the panko style so she was more into the fries. For the fries, they were good but I'd probably opt for normal fries next time instead of waffle fries. I was expecting something somewhat similar to chick fil a, but these were a little on the thicker side and almost had the texture of potato wedges. I'm also not a big fry seasoning guy, and these were well seasoned. But that's a me thing. We still ate them all and you know when I come back I'm not leaving here without fries. The twisty was really good. I might be the only one, but I'm such a sucker for heath bar when I saw it on the menu I had to order it. The ice cream was really good quality. Had a great texture and taste. They were generous with the heath bar. I'm aware I took down a disgusting amount of food, but I think if I could change one thing I'd get the larger size of the twisty next time. It was really good. Wish they had a location closer than 30 mins up the hill, but that won't stop me. Note that my wife asked about the black bean patty and it has cheese in it so it is vegetarian but not dairy free or vegan. So if you go that way, there's that. Not much for you besides fries and dole whip.

I went w the Guido adding pastrami to their 1/3 lb patty. Their homemade burger sauce is a thousand island relative. Maybe a touch too much sauce but uber tasty. My wife had the Double D burger - double the patty!!! The waffle fries were well prepared and wonderfully seasoned - maybe some of the best fries seasoning in a long while. Mom took on the "cream" side w a Mocha Malt. It was thick and wonderful. The place is a counter order then pick up but that's just fine. It is nothing fancy inside but it gets the job done....Some small fly battles but great food. We will absolutely be coming back!

We shared a double burger with bacon and truffle parm fries. I was pretty shocked on the portions and it was more than enough for us to share. The burger was pretty good and a solid try. I will say the truffle parm fries were delicious. Perfect amount of crispy and they don't skip on the seasoning. They were sooo good! We also got a slice of banana cream pie and blueberry pie. Probably the best banana cream pie we've had. The blueberry pie was filled! Literally no complaints. The crust of the pies were perfect too! Next time I really do want to try the chicken pot pie and will be coming back for a slice of pie. If you're in the area, I recommend you stopping by. Ikeda is loved for a reason!

They have a full kitchen menu so we tried out both of their Wagyu burgers. I liked my Wagyu smash burger a little more than the gourmet wagyu burger. They both came with veggies and were the same price so it's just a matter of preference on the style of burger patty. But both were cooked nicely and I liked the fresh veggies. They still have their signature pies and market side for all kinds of little goodies and market items to buy. I loved that they had so many milkshake options too, I wanted them all! I ended up going with the fresh peach one just because it was in season and it didn't disappoint. It was perfectly sweet and peachy but not in the artificial way. I just wish I had enough room to get the POG freeze, but next time! They have plenty of seating outside if you want to eat your meal and or dessert right away. I'll definitely keep this location in mind when we are in the area again.

Lisa Ford, the co-owner, went above and beyond in every possible way. She designed a menu within our budget, created a customized bar menu, and she and her amazing team decorated, cooked, served, and made the patio feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. They truly handled everything with such care and excellence. We were able to play our own customized Spotify playlist on the back patio for a fun Yacht Rock Friday night feeling, and their IT/AV support, Randy, helped us play a personalized video of the couple on the patio TV throughout the evening. It made the night feel even more personal and special. The food was truly the chef's kiss, the beer by Brian Ford, co-owner and brewmaster, was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Trista and the wait staff were fun, attentive, and made our guests feel so well taken care of. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing our son and daughter-in-love so happy and surrounded by incredible family and friends who enjoyed honoring and celebrating them. Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were. Auburn Alehouse is family-owned, community-forward, and an incredible craft brewpub. It is a wonderful place for private events, date nights, gatherings, celebrations, or simply a great meal with great beer. If you are in Auburn, driving from Reno to the Bay Area, or heading up the mountain, stop here. They are also a fantastic choice for private events and can work with your budget. They even host private events at their Annex across the street. We are so grateful we chose Auburn Alehouse for such an important family celebration. Highly recommend! When you walk up to Crooked Lane Brewing, you notice the exquisite architecture. It stands out, as it should! When you get a little closer, you notice the big tinted windows and a beautiful patio for outdoor seating. **Bonus!! They are pet friendly for the patio area! When you walk in, it's vibrant, very modern with very high ceilings. It's a very big a spacious area with long tables and tall chairs throughout. There is a long bar top with tall chairs, too. Behind them, is a window where you can see the fermentation vessels. **fun fact Throughout the various stages of brewing, the beer is moved between a few different specialized tanks, each with a specific name. My friend was already there, and I walked up to the front and checked out their beer lists. I really liked that they had craft hard seltzers. Those are so delicious in a hot summer day. I went with the pomegranate raspberry orange... aka, the Pro! They had plenty to choose from. They were nice enough to give me a few tasters. They also offer a few wines and they had 2 frozen icee machines twirling with frozen Lemon Berry Seltzer and frozen lemonade I walked with my drink to sit with my friend. While looking around, I saw that they sell the chips from a local merchant called The Crazy Gringo.. who I have purchased salsa/tamales from at the Auburn Faith Farmers Market (Thursdays). There are shirts, snacks, mugs, and more. A wedding just happened to finish on the other side where there is more outdoor seating. **Bonus, this is a great place for big gatherings whether it's a birthday or another type of gathering, book it here!! While sitting and chatting, you can smell their delicious pizza. So I walked up to grab a menu and ended up ordered the pepperoni & sausage pizza.... yes, with ranch! They brought it out to us with cheese and peppers, too. I would compare it to a small size, definitely bigger than a personal size pizza. Great amount of toppings... mmm!! This one is pretty good. It was great without ranch, but I had to try their ranch and that was tasty. We hung out there for a while and it really started to get busy. Sometimes, there is a taco truck outside and it smells super good Crooked Lane Brewery is family-friendly and offers beer flights. They have a few TVs for sports. The food here is limited as there is no in-house kitchen, but features rotating food trucks. In house they offer pizzas, small bites appetizers, salad and sandwiches. They occasionally have events like live music and trivia nights, and I like that they support the women's Iron Rose Football Club. Next time I'm here, I'm going for a beer flight!
