There was a good amount of outdoor seating along with a few tables inside as well. The vibe there was pretty lively and fun, almost reminded me of old-time burger joints. After ordering my Spicy Johnny burger and onion rings, it only took about 15 minutes to receive it, which is understandable because the food is fresh and made to order! At first glance, it worried me that the burgers seemed slightly small and I was worried I would still be hungry afterwards. However, I was decently satisfied after eating (although I do still wish it was slightly bigger). The burger was packed with flavor and extremely juicy. The spice on it packed a decent punch that satisfied my tastebuds! And the onion rings were great! They weren't hot when I received them, but they were still crunchy. It took about 15 mins for my order but worth it for fresh food. First-time visit order: The Guido was perfectamente with the pastrami combo. Just plan to work out later. The Western was equally good. Just a tiny tad greasy, but then again... what good burger isn't? We got the halfsies with fries and onion rings, and it was just as good! We were driving on I-80 and decided to stop here at 9pm on a Tuesday. Mostly, everything around was closed and it was quiet. Then we entered this parking lot and it was bustling! Probably the best burger in the fast food, pit stop category. Fries were very thick, not my type, but everyone else in our group loved it. We saw so many people getting ice cream and thought it would be worth a try. Turns out, Tuesdays small cone is just $1.50 - where in the world can we find that..?!! So we got dole pineapple cones. The first time here, we didn't have much time but after looking at their menu, we landed on the Guido, which is a burger with a lot of pastrami on it, and a chocolate milkshake. I have had pastrami burgers at at least two dozen other places and this was my favorite so far. You can tell, they use high quality ingredients and that's especially important with pastrami. You can tell they take pride in their food, so this time when we were in auburn, we picked the Guido again, added half fries, half onion rings, and another chocolate shake. The rings and fries were perfect. It's hard to get onion rings that aren't greasy but neither the fries nor onion rings were. The burger to pastrami ratio was generous and perfect. The chocolate shake was a wonderful, old fashioned, real ice cream shake. I plan on visiting Burger & Cream every time I visit Auburn. My fish sandwich was not overly flavorful which enabled me to truly enjoy the fish's crispy texture and the bun's softness. I also appreciated how flexible the restaurant was in preparing my milkshake as it combined both chocolate and mint together. I would've liked if the milkshake's ice-cream was a more organic or a locally-made source rather than using the Ghirardelli brand. The $4.20 Chicken Taco is overflowing with diced chicken breast with Tillamook Cheddar. I feel like I am making a healthier choice by choosing chicken. Because there was so much chicken, I didn't notice the cheese as much. The slightly less expensive $3.50 Beef Taco has Angus ground beef with melty American cheese. I am taking away a few stars for my experience eating inside the restaurant. The woman taking our order could not get our order right as we were ordering. We had to repeat our order to her 3 times. We asked for both ice creams to come out after our food. Our first ice cream came out immediately. When I went to the counter, I told them it was supposed to come out after my food. Their response was they would put it in the fridge until I was ready. I asked if it would melt in the fridge, since we still hadn't received our food, I wouldn't get to the ice cream for 15 min at least, and she assured me it wouldn't. Our food came and they forgot to put raw onions on my burger even though I ordered it with both kinds of onions. Get the pastrami , bathrooms to the side kind of small but it was so clean I didn't mind touching the walls or dropping my pants to take a dump. Food takes a while, the time it toon is acceptable because they're making the burgers for you the right way , you can even watch them like you would at Krispy Kreme . I'm not sure if they appreciate it but they got the food out at an okay speed but the bathrooms were so well nicely kept clean . And they have an open are eating area so looked cool . Idk it's not my best structured review but damn , pastrami bro . The cream is so well made I got diarrhea that night because I'm lactose intolerant . Stopped here after a hike in Auburn and we were so glad we did. We both got the Spicy Johnny - a burger with bacon and jalapenos and it was very good. The burgers were good sized - with those and our fried, we were full and changed our mind on getting a milkshake after. We'll try their shakes next time - there was a lot of people there eating ice cream and drinking shakes and they all looked delicious too. You can place orders outside at the walk up window or inside at the counter - the line was much shorter inside. Service was friendly and quick, we didn't wait long at all.
