Quite a selection and such a fun board
Amber D.

Visited crooked Lane brewing on a Sunday and it was great. I sat outside in the beer garden and it was such a vibe. I wanted to drink a sour but there wasn't one so I drank a seltzer (blackberry lime), flavor recommended by the bartender. It was delicious and I'd recommend to anyone who also likes sour beer. We did not eat anything, but we all enjoyed what we ordered to drink. My friends ordered beer, I believe IPAs but I can't remember their order. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Beer!!!

Great stop in Auburn. Pretty decent beer, great dog friendly venue. The food is from a toaster oven but the pretzel was pretty good. I stopped as I was driving through so only had one, would be a great local hangout with a good selection of styles. Cheers!!

Discover the Unicorn IPA
Kristina L.

Loved this place. Amazing staff, clean and welcoming atmosphere, and tasty beer. Their standout? "Discover The Unicorn" IPA -- and honestly, it lives up to the name. A true unicorn of a beer: perfectly balanced, just the right mix of hop bite and smooth finish, and somehow both bold and refreshingly drinkable. It's the kind of IPA that makes you believe in magic again -- or at least in second rounds:) The service was excellent -- friendly faces behind the bar who clearly love what they do and are happy to chat or offer a great recommendation. Thanks guys! We'll be back.

2-1-2 Punch + Sour + Pretzel

Great place with plenty of outdoor seating & indoor space with games. The 2-1 punch is unbeatable & the pretzel is huge! They host events that'd be fun to checkout: Monday night D&D.

We were in the area so stopped by for some beer and food. Staff are helpful and help with any questions. They have a lot of inside and outside seating which is great as it doesn't seem crowded. They also have televisions to watch sports. We ordered some beer and the Roast Beef sandwich and the Mediterranean pizza. The food was good.

What a fun place! The staff is warm and engaging, and Crooked Lane's beers are outstanding. Although we didn't try it, the regulars say that the pizza served there is great. Next time. There was plenty of comfortable seating both inside and out, and it's dog friendly. We're planning a return trip with our pups.

Thank you Teresa for reaching out about my comment about the Panini. I did comment to staff and said that's how you all make that Panini and didn't offer anything else but a comment . The establishment was clean and efficient service. The beer was great. A little better food choices is all I would ask. But thank you for your continued great brewery !

An enjoyable experience. Nice patio, outstanding selection of both on-site beers on tap brewed at the brewery as well as beer to buy and take home. The brewery restaurant is located in a former Chrysler dealership...giving the place a unique vibe. The interior is nicely remodeled and everything looks very nice. Helpful employees. Did not have any food on this visit. Bathroom was clean and nice. The beer enjoyed at the restaurant, Andy's Amber was excellent, as well as the beer enjoyed offsite, "Wobbler" now that was really amazing, full bodied beer. Kind of like Sierra Nevada Narwhal but perhaps smoother and slightly less strong. Will be back for more for sure!

Ask the Community - Crooked Lane Brewing

When there is live music there, is it inside or outside?

Hi Dan, if it’s warm weather, music will be outside. We will probably only have inside shows from now until March or April. Check our social media and website for details. Cheers!

Can you bring your dog?

Hi Stephanie! Yes indeed, friendly leashed dogs are welcome in our outside areas. Thanks!

Do they offer any wine?

As a brewery, we do not offer wine. But if you like beer, we got you covered with a variety of styles.

Any food options during the day?

Crooked Lane does not have a food menu, they're priority is the beer ❤️! Check their website though, because they do host a variety of food trucks throughout the week!

Ok to bring kids?

....with well behaved parents, yes.

This place does a lot of things right and yesterday was a good reminder of that. The space is really cool. They have private rooms you can book for events, cute little nooks to hang out in, and the back area is massive and covered which was perfect for a big event like this. They also had a second bar set up outside and a few food trucks which was a nice touch. Oh and lots of dogs, always a plus. Their beer selection is super expansive, all kinds of styles and they have beer slushies! The staff were genuinely so friendly even though it was slammed. I asked for a ton of samples before deciding on one and they were totally cool about it without making me feel bad at all. Really appreciated that. Live bands were a fun idea but they were pretty loud, like conversation was kind of a struggle at times. Also not really a kids at breweries person but that's just me. My biggest gripe though is the bathrooms. Four restrooms for an event that size is just not it. Bring in some mobile restrooms for big events, something, anything. It's such an easy fix and makes a huge difference when you're waiting in a long line after a few beers. Still one of my favorite spots and I'll keep making the drive up even though its over an hour away.

Lisa Ford, the co-owner, went above and beyond in every possible way. She designed a menu within our budget, created a customized bar menu, and she and her amazing team decorated, cooked, served, and made the patio feel warm, beautiful, and welcoming. They truly handled everything with such care and excellence. We were able to play our own customized Spotify playlist on the back patio for a fun Yacht Rock Friday night feeling, and their IT/AV support, Randy, helped us play a personalized video of the couple on the patio TV throughout the evening. It made the night feel even more personal and special. The food was truly the chef's kiss, the beer by Brian Ford, co-owner and brewmaster, was incredible, and the service was outstanding. Trista and the wait staff were fun, attentive, and made our guests feel so well taken care of. One of the best parts of the evening was seeing our son and daughter-in-love so happy and surrounded by incredible family and friends who enjoyed honoring and celebrating them. Our guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were. Auburn Alehouse is family-owned, community-forward, and an incredible craft brewpub. It is a wonderful place for private events, date nights, gatherings, celebrations, or simply a great meal with great beer. If you are in Auburn, driving from Reno to the Bay Area, or heading up the mountain, stop here. They are also a fantastic choice for private events and can work with your budget. This was such a cool find!…read more We came to town for a family members birthday party and wanted to stop by a brewery for lunch and check out the area. The place was way bigger than what I was expecting! The parking lot is huge, and it was packed! You order your beverage and food at the bar and they pour you your drinks and give you a pager for the food. I was impressed to see the food was coming out of a food truck for how large the venue is. I was drinking the Mexican lager, served with salt and lime. I thought it was super tasty, I liked it a lot. My husband was drinking the hazy ipa which had a pretty high percentage, I believe like a 7.5%! It was surprisingly easy to drink and fruity. Food we ordered the BLT and it was served with house made pickles and potato salad. The potato salad had cheddar cheese inside it, I like that twist. I ordered the pizza pretzel and at first thought $18.50 is pretty steep pricing for a pretzel but let me tell you, the pictures do not do the size justice. It is literally the size of a pizza! So big, covered in mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. Came with plenty of dipping sauce too. I loved it, it was so fresh and delicious, and perfect to share! I had more than half leftover to take home! Check this spot out it was pretty rad, they had live music and the vibes were great! We could've hung out here all day perfectly content.

Unfortunately, a couple of negative interactions with staff these past couple weekends have overshadowed what should be a great experience (we came twice and brought friends whom have never been before both times). On the two separate visits, I encountered employees (2) who were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and uninterested in customer service. On my most recent visit, one bartender was noticeably rude to me on more than one occasion during the same visit, so it didn't feel like a misunderstanding or an isolated moment. Later, I asked who the manager was because I had a question about the air bnb and was directed to another girl who appeared inconvenienced and offered no greeting or assistance. Even a simple "Can I help you with something?" would have gone a long way. I assumed the less-than-warm service might have been due to the crowds and busy environment, but after experiencing the same thing again on our next visit, it feels more like a personal issue than a one-off bad day. It's unfortunate because the property is beautiful, the beer is good, and this brewery has so much going for it. We bragged about this place to our friends and then felt embarrassed after we got the eye-roll treatment. With so many great breweries to choose from, friendly customer service matters. A smile, a greeting, and basic courtesy aren't a big ask, but they make a huge difference in whether customers decide to come back.
