We snuck in here right before the Winter Carnival parade passed through to get a bite to eat and use the parking lot. It is a big place with lots of seating and what looks like a beautiful patio (sadly it was winter so not much use). There was some heating lamps and fires going outside, so some brave Minnesotans were still enjoying the patio (I included). This looks like a great spot to catch a Vikings or Wild game with a large bar and big menu selection of bar eats. I actually veered off the Burger path and tried their Buffalo Chicken Salad. It was HUGE with a good assortment of chicken, blue cheese, avocado, and dressing. Other people in my party ordered burgers and all of them seemed satisfied with what they were given. I decided to order for pick up during the Covid 19. We do really like their food and had heard they were doing a great job with food order pick up. The transaction was quick and easy and they had a good set up for social distancing. We took our food to a local park and my husband bit into his burger and it was totally pink. I then checked mine and same thing. We were so disappointed. I called them and the guy said "well our menu says all burgers are cooked medium unless the customer indicates something different." He offered to remake the burgers with hesitation and we declined since I really didn't want to have to go back. The one thing that bothered me is no one asked how we wanted our burgers when we called in the order. We had pulled up the menu on our phones but didn't read or see the part about them all being cooked medium. I guess when your looking at a menu you are mainly looking at the food items not the small print at the top. With that being said the burgers were not medium they were a gross almost raw pink in the middle. We do normally like their food and next time will make sure to point out well done. Our first experience at Burger Moes. We were a party of 5 so we seated ourselves at a round table in the room away from the bar area. "Sam was very prompt in greeting us and taking our drink order. As we were celebrating a birthday, we were a little slow perusing the menu, but Sam was great and said to take our time. We finally got around to ordering and again Sam was helpful in offering suggestions. We went with 2-Denny Burgers( both without cheese and 1 with a gluten free bun). 1-Moe's Original Burger, 1-Fun-Guy Burger and 1-Cajun Burger. Sides were Fries, Tuscan Fries, Sweet Potato Fries and the Jumbo Stuffed Tater Kegs. The burgers came out on what seemed minutes, as ordered. We were all amazed with the food, the burgers were huge and very tasty. The tater kegs were "to die for". Sam was very attentive, checking back often to make sure everything was to our liking and to refill beverages. She helped make this evening not only enjoyable but very fun. I was sorely disappointed with the quality of my meal recently. My burger had zero flavor. It tasted like it was pre cooked and sat in a pan filled with hot water that leeched alllll the flavor out. Really delicious. We ordered "The original Moe Burger", "The Denny Burger (with a nice egg on top), "The Juicy Moe" and enjoyed the crispy fries and waffle cut fries, and fresh shakes (Real Banana). All were gobbled up fast...very tasty. Very fresh. Great Mac & Cheese from the kids menu too. Plenty of condiments for sandwiches or sides available, which was really nice. Been going to this place for a decade. Ever since it reopened after Wuhan Flu it's gone completely downhill. Honestly, I wasn't sure how well Burger Moe's would do in this area or if they'd make it at all. There really isn't a shortage of places to grab a burger in downtown and after my first time eating here shortly after they opened I really didn't think it was up to snuff. With that said, additional visits have changed my tune quite a bit. First off, they have one of, if not the best, patios in downtown St. Paul (it really hasn't changed since Patio used to reside here years ago). Additionally, Moe's has one of the better tap selections in the area with about 40 draught beers available. While there might not be too many unknowns on the tap list for those that drink a lot of craft beer, there's still plenty to choose from to appease anyone. The food has also gotten markedly better during my more recent visits. The bison burger is quite good and comes topped with fried onion strings and BBQ sauce and is surprisingly juicy for being a fairly lean meat. The kobe and Axtell burgers have received high marks from fellow diners and the only thing I've really been disappointed with thus far was the lamb burger, which was fairly overcooked and under-seasoned (though that was shortly after they opened). The rest of the menu is pretty typical bar food, but by and by it's well prepared and inexpensive. The only real gripe I have is the service, which has always been friendly, but generally inattentive or inexperienced. However, quite forgivable and a relatively small complaint since this is, after all, a sports bar. If their happy hour were a bit more inviting, or if I was sitting on their patio in the sunshine writing this review Moe's would easily get a fourth star out of me. read more

My wife and I had a Christmas present from my sister from Crowd Cut for $30 at Burger Moe's that was going to expire soon. Off we go! It was a cold and cloudy Minneapolis day in April and the Twins were playing. We entered the establishment that made its residency near the XCel Center. I ordered a New Belgium Ranger IPA in the 24 oz size. It was yummy. The menu had a slew of burgers on it, veggie, lamb, bison, blue cheese, Kobe. I chose the Kobe burger with a side salad instead of the fries. I got the blue cheese dressing, it was a melange of chunky, yet creamy at the same time. Nice fresh leaves and a bunch of garnishments. My wife got the spinach salad with ranch. It wasn't much larger than my side salad for $9, but there was a lot of egg crumbles on it, which looked good. They left the onion off the salad, so my wife said she would only give the place 3 stars. I only have burgers about 3 times a year. In high school I worked at McDonald's and had quarter pounders at least 3 times a week. (I wonder why I was 250 pounds?) So now when I have them, they are extra special. The Kobe beef was juicy and the size was just perfect. Not one of those huge burgers where you can't even put your mouth around it. The bun was your basic big burger bun, and the accouterments were solid. Onion, lettuce, tomatoes. I had a Lift Bridge IPA for my second beer, which mellowed the day out. Being located so close to the xcel, I have always avoided Burger Moe's because of limited parking, crowds, and sub-par food. But I was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong about all three. Reluctantly, my dining companion and I thought we would head down to the West 7th area to grab a bite on a Saturday night. I was surprised to find that Burger Moe's had a free lot for their patrons. Since we were feeling like the typical American fare, we pulled in there and decided to give it a try. The open-air concept , which centers mostly around their expansive patio was clean and inviting. The patio was full with a mix of young and old couples, families, and small groups of friends. We were immediately greeted by a friendly server who remained very attentive throughout the whole service. Per the recommendation of our server, my dining companion ordered the Santa Fe burger (a beef patty, salsa, cheese, and avocado) and I order the Salmon Burger (salmon patty, roasted red peppers, and a dill roumalade). Our gigantic burgers came out quickly, and we were both very satisfied - the the salmon patty was moist, and the crispness of the veggies and creaminess of the roumalade created a nice balance of textures. One regret, I wish I would have ordered the waffle fries or Tuscan fries - don't get me wrong, the regular fries were perfectly crisp and had a good flavor, I just wish I would have tried a more interesting side.
