Sister and I were craving a smash burger, so we decided to give this place a try. Luckily the place was not that busy we only had to wait like 10min. Host was very friendly upon arrival. We started off with the Fried Mozzed as our stater. The Fried Mozzed really did not have any type of flavor and the breading was just a bit too soggy.. there weren't bad but I have tried better. Now, I went ahead and ordered SCHMUGER with an order of Fries. My sister for the MAVERICK, both of the burgers and fries were really good. The ranch dipping sauce just had this lemon like flavor that just did not pare good with the fried and burger. Over all the food good.

Excellent service on my recent visit! The staff is super friendly and service is pretty fast. As for the food, it was good but nothing great in my opinion. My smash burger could have used a little crispness around the edges (personal preference) and the fried mozzarella needed a bit more seasoning. Loved the stringy onion rings though. Great little burger spot for the neighborhood!

My bunk buddy showed me this place from social media, and since I love burgers, I did what any reasonable person would do--I checked Yelp. After all, you eat with your eyes first, and the burger photos looked great. We made our way through the rain and arrived at the restaurant. I was greeted and seated right away, and my bunk buddy joined me shortly after. Unfortunately, that's where the prompt service ended. We sat for about 10-15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. I wish I had gotten the name of the server who eventually came over because she deserves recognition. She wasn't even assigned to our section, but when she noticed no one had helped us, she apologized and took our order. She was friendly and professional, and honestly, she saved the experience. I could understand a delay if the restaurant had been busy, but it wasn't. Leaving customers sitting without any acknowledgment is disappointing. The food came out quickly, which initially made me a little skeptical, but I had already taken my insulin and needed to eat. I ordered the Pasadena burger, and it was actually very good. I did get a laugh out of the tiny "butt end" of a tomato they put on my burger. Come on--can I get a full slice? Thankfully, the lemon up was surprisingly delicious and helped make up for the tomato situation, though not for the lack of service at the beginning. What ultimately saved my dining experience was the server who stepped in to help us despite it not being her responsibility. Her attentiveness and kindness stood out. Will I be back? Probably not. I drove a good distance to try this place, and I left feeling disappointed. The food was solid, but customer service matters, and first impressions are hard to overcome.

Awesome smash burgers. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. It is large inside with plenty of seating. They have a full bar, and I sat there for lunch. The bartender was super friendly and took my order quickly. I ordered a cold draft IPA, a schmurger burger with an extra patty and jalapeños, and an order of the beef tallow fries. The beer was frosty and cold. The burger and fries arrived quickly. The burger was exactly what you would expect for a great smash burger and tasted great. The patties were slightly crispy on the outside but super tender. The melted cheese and the bun were perfect. The tallow fries were delicious, but could have been cooked a little crispier. Great burger. Great bar. Great service. Can't wait to go back.

Great food! Dave the owner is such a rad dude and he absolutely loves what he does. The place is so much fun. Sometimes there can be long waits and you can't make a reservation, but that's the only negative I have to offer.

My friend recommended this place and he was not wrong. It was a nice day so we sat outside. Our service was kind of slow even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. However the burger schmurger was very tasty. If you love smashed burgers you'll love this! The fries were seasoned excellently as well! I would recommend and would come back!

Walking into this restaurant was like walking back into 1980s, in a good way. The tables/chairs and decor were point on with 1980s, maybe even late 70s. It was a fun vibe. The music was consistent with the decor and at a really high volume. The smash burgers were good! And their signature fries were tasty. I'm not a big fan of smash burgers but this was a good experience and I enjoyed my food and the decors

BEST SMASH BURGER in Dallas! The hype is real the consistency is even better! This place also has some bomb stuff other than just the burgers which I was surprised! Service has been great everytime. Servers are kind and attentive and were always checking on us! This place is a special one and the owner DAVE I can't say enough great things about him. One of the most humble guys I ever met and is truly passionate about what he does and he is having a great time doing it! Ambiance is awesome. It's an old school retro type of feel. I believe it was mimicked after parts of his grandmothers house. I could be wrong but just ask him he's is such a cool guy! Anyways this is the spot to get a Bomb burger!

I have been a fan of Burger Schmurger before there was a brick and mortar business. The burgers are so delicous. They have so much flaovr and really are teh best in town. We drove all the way from prosper to lakewood and the food was amazing. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on the weekends but it moves quickly. And a must try is the fried mozzarella! It was so cheesy and really good.

This is a darn fine smashburger! So many places say they have them but they just don't have the crispy crunch bits that make a real smashburger a delight. They certainly do here! When we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was great and incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and very inviting. In addition to the burger we had the fried pickles which are prepared on site and are very tasty. Great spot for your burger fix!

Burgers here are so delicious and they have a great variety of appetizers and drinks as well. We had the Shmargatita and it was refreshing! I also had the Pasadena burger and it was so fresh and had great flavor. My husband had the Schmuger and loved it as well. Service here was top notch, super friendly staff. Loved also the decor inside, since it's so different from other burger places. It was also very clean. Can't wait to come back!

Finally got to try Burger Schmurger, and it definitely lives up to the hype in terms of popularity. The place was packed when we went on a Tuesday night, and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a table, so come prepared to wait during peak hours. Food: - Maverick (8/10): The inverted toasted bun was a unique and fun twist that immediately stood out. The smoked bacon jam added a really nice depth of flavor and complemented the burger well. Overall, a very solid burger. - Schmurger (7/10): This is your classic, no-frills smashburger. Simple, clean, and executed well.. but nothing particularly memorable or over-the-top. - Schmurger Fries (8/10): These loaded fries were a pleasant surprise. The fries on their own were a bit salty, but the lemon dill ranch helped balance everything out and tied the dish together nicely. We would definitely come back. Overall, I'd give Burger Schmurger an 8/10. The burgers were well-made and flavorful, and the menu keeps things focused. My only real downside was the portion size, the burgers felt a bit small for the price. At around $12 per burger, I expected something slightly more substantial. That said, given the current economy, it seems like smaller portions are becoming the norm.

When can I go when there is not 500 people in there? Always seems like is too busy and I bail out.

Try Saturday between 3pm and 5.pm. I was just there this past Saturday. No wait, became almost empty at around 4:30pm. Good luck!

We were huge fans of Meddlesome Moth(which had closed a few months prior). The beer list didn't excite me(I'm a beer snob) but the bar vibe and the great staff quickly made me forget about that. We eat there twice a month now and when we don't get in on a regular schedule, we really miss it. I'm a huge fan of the steak frites and my wife loves the weekly pasta dishes which never disappoint. The cocktails are great and they're made by the friendliest barkeeps in town(Matt, Christine) Christopher keeps the place flowing and Brittani(owner) is great and always welcoming. The overall vibe is comfy and totally unpretentious. Goldies is a hidden gem but has quickly become a popular spot. Great spots like this don't stay hidden very long. Highly recommended! Carter L

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. Carrots, solid 8/10. Overall, I'd be tempted to give it another try, the ambiance and overall feel is awesome - then hope the food is great again and make it a perfect Friday night spot, but for $275 for the 4 entree's, 2 appetizer's and 2 drinks we got last night? I'd argue it wasn't worth it.
