Awesome smash burgers. I have been wanting to try this place for a while. It is large inside with plenty of seating. They have a full bar, and I sat there for lunch. The bartender was super friendly and took my order quickly. I ordered a cold draft IPA, a schmurger burger with an extra patty and jalapeños, and an order of the beef tallow fries. The beer was frosty and cold. The burger and fries arrived quickly. The burger was exactly what you would expect for a great smash burger and tasted great. The patties were slightly crispy on the outside but super tender. The melted cheese and the bun were perfect. The tallow fries were delicious, but could have been cooked a little crispier. Great burger. Great bar. Great service. Can't wait to go back.

Food was pretty good overall! The Shmurger burger I got was amazing super juicy meat and a soft bun. I'd give it a solid 10/10. As for the East Dallas burger, the blue cheese definitely overpowered the rest of the flavors. It was still good, but I wouldn't recommend it for your first visit. The spicy pickle margarita wasn't my favorite combination, and that's coming from a pickle lover! It wasn't for me, but I will say they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol Service was amazing and the ambiance was beautiful! I loved the 80s look to it. Definitely would recommend to people who love burgers and want to try out a new spot.

My friend recommended this place and he was not wrong. It was a nice day so we sat outside. Our service was kind of slow even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. However the burger schmurger was very tasty. If you love smashed burgers you'll love this! The fries were seasoned excellently as well! I would recommend and would come back!

Walking into this restaurant was like walking back into 1980s, in a good way. The tables/chairs and decor were point on with 1980s, maybe even late 70s. It was a fun vibe. The music was consistent with the decor and at a really high volume. The smash burgers were good! And their signature fries were tasty. I'm not a big fan of smash burgers but this was a good experience and I enjoyed my food and the decors

BEST SMASH BURGER in Dallas! The hype is real the consistency is even better! This place also has some bomb stuff other than just the burgers which I was surprised! Service has been great everytime. Servers are kind and attentive and were always checking on us! This place is a special one and the owner DAVE I can't say enough great things about him. One of the most humble guys I ever met and is truly passionate about what he does and he is having a great time doing it! Ambiance is awesome. It's an old school retro type of feel. I believe it was mimicked after parts of his grandmothers house. I could be wrong but just ask him he's is such a cool guy! Anyways this is the spot to get a Bomb burger!

Burgers here are so delicious and they have a great variety of appetizers and drinks as well. We had the Shmargatita and it was refreshing! I also had the Pasadena burger and it was so fresh and had great flavor. My husband had the Schmuger and loved it as well. Service here was top notch, super friendly staff. Loved also the decor inside, since it's so different from other burger places. It was also very clean. Can't wait to come back!

I take this hamburger business seriously. There's a lot of trauma involved! This place came recommended by my best friend's husband and I gotta say it landed. I was seated quickly and the hostess was walking me through what I could get as a first timer. All in all, great start! The Schmurger fries were a knockout. The ratio of cheese to sauce to fry was even throughout and not clumped. I would've thrown it into a tortilla and called it a day. I was also recommended the burger of the Month: the Bourdain. Folks, I love mortadella and dijon. So, of course, I did it! The flavors overall worked but it felt like too much bread OR not enough meat. I was left wanting a bit more umph, I guess. However, this was a spectacular experience and I'll be back because the vibes were very much "Grab a burger and get happy."

I have been a fan of Burger Schmurger before there was a brick and mortar business. The burgers are so delicous. They have so much flaovr and really are teh best in town. We drove all the way from prosper to lakewood and the food was amazing. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on the weekends but it moves quickly. And a must try is the fried mozzarella! It was so cheesy and really good.

Loved the classic diner ambiance! As for the food, we got the classic smash burger and fries, but were underwhelmed. The burger didn't stand out as I expected and the fries felt like we got all the leftovers in the basket. The mozzarella sticks had a good cheese pull but the breading wasn't seasoned. They didn't have regular Coke products but we did like their Dr Pepper stand in!

This is a darn fine smashburger! So many places say they have them but they just don't have the crispy crunch bits that make a real smashburger a delight. They certainly do here! When we arrived we were greeted and seated right away. Our server was great and incredibly friendly. The restaurant itself was clean and very inviting. In addition to the burger we had the fried pickles which are prepared on site and are very tasty. Great spot for your burger fix!

Finally got to try Burger Schmurger, and it definitely lives up to the hype in terms of popularity. The place was packed when we went on a Tuesday night, and we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a table, so come prepared to wait during peak hours. Food: - Maverick (8/10): The inverted toasted bun was a unique and fun twist that immediately stood out. The smoked bacon jam added a really nice depth of flavor and complemented the burger well. Overall, a very solid burger. - Schmurger (7/10): This is your classic, no-frills smashburger. Simple, clean, and executed well.. but nothing particularly memorable or over-the-top. - Schmurger Fries (8/10): These loaded fries were a pleasant surprise. The fries on their own were a bit salty, but the lemon dill ranch helped balance everything out and tied the dish together nicely. We would definitely come back. Overall, I'd give Burger Schmurger an 8/10. The burgers were well-made and flavorful, and the menu keeps things focused. My only real downside was the portion size, the burgers felt a bit small for the price. At around $12 per burger, I expected something slightly more substantial. That said, given the current economy, it seems like smaller portions are becoming the norm.

Oh My, Love at First Bite, This place was a home run for me! I loved the vibe when I walked in. It was energetic and unpretentious. It had a retro feel to the place, even down to the window curtains. Most of all though, I liked the neighborhood feel to the place. The service was good and friendly. Our server was also helpful, and that was much appreciated on our first-time experience here. I loved the food! I have ordered smash burgers at other places and this place made me realize how poorly executed the cooking technique had been at the other places I have ordered them. This one was perfectly crisped on the edges. The "meat-lace" as they call it was delightful. We also ordered Pretzel Bites. They were served fresh and hot along with Beer Cheese and Spicy Brown Mustard. Along with the burger, I would get them again too!

When can I go when there is not 500 people in there? Always seems like is too busy and I bail out.

Try Saturday between 3pm and 5.pm. I was just there this past Saturday. No wait, became almost empty at around 4:30pm. Good luck!

The service was excellent, and our server gave us some great recommendations throughout the evening. We tried the I Dream of Kiwi, Only Fans, and the Soft Serve Margarita. The first two were refreshing, fruity, and packed with flavor, while the Soft Serve Margarita was a fun twist on a classic. For food, we had the Caesar salad, beef cheek tacos, and the Apothecary Burger with the truffle fries upgrade. The Caesar was a little too heavy on the dressing for my taste, making it quite fishy, so I'd recommend asking for the dressing on the side or going light on it. The burger with truffle fries was easily a 9/10, and the beef cheek tacos were just as good--tender, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. One of the best parts is the happy hour offered every day until 6:30 PM, with all "Over the Counter" cocktails for $12 and 50% off food. It's one of the better happy hour deals in Dallas, especially considering the quality of the food, drinks, and overall experience. We'll definitely be back.

This time, I had to try the viral frozen margarita, and it totally hit the spot. It was refreshing, not too sweet, and honestly the perfect "boozy dessert" if that's what you're looking for. The dirty martini, my go-to, was also perfect. The most pleasantly surprising drink was the popcorn bourbon cocktail. It literally tasted like buttered popcorn in drink form, but still felt balanced with just enough bitter notes to let the bourbon shine. Overall, Apothecary continues to be one of my favorite spots for creative cocktails that actually taste as good as they look.

Thankfully, as we were dining after 6pm, the dining rooms were not SRO, nor were their guests on the patio, or we certainly would not put upon the kitchen crew the adjustments. The setting and space of McRae's is refreshingly unique, cozy and welcoming. Dress up or down, you'll always feel welcome.
