Yummy hamburger. Great beer. Relaxing environment. The bar girl was friendly with her open service and just a great place.

During a special event weekend at Additions Arena, we stopped by Burger U for lunch. The restaurant was busy, but the staff were friendly and service was prompt. I tried the Impossible Burger, and my son had a double patty cheeseburger with a cookies and cream milkshake. Everything was delicious! There was seating inside and outside, so there was no problem finding a table. We'll definitely return the next time we're at UCF!

SERVICE: 5 FOOD QUALITY: 4 DRINK QUALITY: 5 ORDER TIME: 5 AESTHETICS: 5 NOISE LEVEL: 5 MENU SELECTION: 5 OVERALL EXPERIENCE: 4.86 First off let's start with... don't listen to any review that's below a 3 or below. This place is amazing. Streamlined technology to order, and very clean bar and dining area, and the UCF pride with the wonderful sports feel decor is everything a campus bar/restaurant needs! Order, grab a number, a seat and enjoy the atmosphere of the college life. They have a decent size menu that most anyone can order from. I've eaten the bacon lovers burger and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were cooked perfectly and they were very good. Highly recommend grilling the buns but that's just my personal preference :). They have a full bar with a very large selection of drafts. Overall, I was expecting much worse considering the negative reviews, but clearly some people only want to write a review when something is negative with just half the context. That being said, even if the food was worse than fast food, it would still be better overall, but luckily it's decent food for the price value. Definitely worth the trip if you're into sports and bar food!

Stopped here for lunch while waiting for the rain to pass. The ambiance was the right setting so I could do some work, and, conveniently, not too far from my clssses. The burger patties were delicious and kind of similar to a "smash burger". It also tasted better than the typical chain fast food burger. Maybe I will do the fries next time.

This is a great source of affordable bar food in the UCF area - while I enjoyed the mahi sandwich, my friends shared burgers, wings, and sides. I wish there was more than one combo option for drink and fry add-ons; however, it's becoming more common for menu items to be separated this way and keeps the sandwich prices a little lower. We all spent $10 or less. Burger U also hosts weekly trivia nights on Tuesdays. I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard it's a lot of fun and hope to go soon!

Stopped by for a quick snack while hanging around ucf area. Ordered chicken tenders and fries. Tenders were nice and juicy. We sat outside. Sports bar like. It was nice and quiet on a Saturday afternoon. You order your food and get seated. When your food is ready they bring it to you. Cool place for a bite and to hang out.

4 Stars for some surprising elements (sauces made from scratch), a pretty darn good chicken sandwich, and garlic fries that are so good you won't mind people crossing the street to get away from your stench. You order (and pay) at a counter prior to finding a seat in the pretty big restaurant. We were shocked by how dead it was on a Saturday night, but I imagine it's nuts on a game day or before a big event. Things I loved: - The chicken sandwich comes on buttered, toasted sourdough bread. It's decadent, will leave your fingers dripping, and flippin' amazing. The chicken is grilled but still moist and it comes with lettuce and tomato slices. It's definitely a dish I'd repeat! - They make their chips in house and it comes with your choice of dipping sauces. I was beyond surprised and excited to hear that the sauces were made from scratch as well. The chips were crispy and dang, the honey mustard and ranch sauces were on point! - two words. Garlic. Fries. The fries are good in their own (crispy and cut in house), but slathered in a green garlic sauce they are absolutely irresistible. Order them. You'll thank me later. What was "meh": - I was considering the veggie burger but thought it was odd that they'd have house-made chips, all sauces from scratch, and yet they don't make their own veggie burger patties. Seems like a waist to get homemade sides and a frozen veggie burger. I didn't end up ordering it. - I tried my friend's burger and it was cooked to a perfect Medium, but it was pretty small and lonely without a side. All in all, this is a great option while on campus and perfectly situated across from The Pop Parlour for a local, fun dessert!

Oh. My. God. The food is INSANE! The atmosphere is very fun and definitely what you would expect on a university campus. I ordered the grilled wings, which came with bleu cheese on the side. Shawn opted for their special burger: chicken breasts, burger patty and cheese, fried egg & veggies, sandwiched in between 2 thick, buttermilk waffles. It looked and smelled delicious, and will probably cause a heart attack, but he finished it & placed it in his top 3 burgers he has ever had. They give you a LOT of food for the price, the waitress is very attentive bringing us utensils, refills, and checking to make sure we had all we needed. We will definitely return!

I came on Wednesdays for their wings special. It was around $8. I definitely felt the wings were dry so not the best wings I've ever had. However, for a good place on campus,it's not bad. I also got fries and a soda drink!

I came in here on a Saturday night to grab some food before a nearby event. I just wanted a beer and some food, and I figured this could be a good place to get it. When I walked in around 7 pm on a Saturday night, there were just a handful of people at the bar and one table of three girls sitting not at the bar. I stood around awkwardly at the front, not sure what to do. There appeared to be a counter ordering system, but no one was up there and there was no sign to seat yourself, order at the bar, or wait to be seated. I kept waiting, hoping someone might see me, say hello, acknowledge my presence .... something. Finally I got tired of waiting and walked to the bar, since everyone else was there. As soon as I sat down, two girls to my right just looked at me like I wasn't supposed to be there. Finally, a bartender came over and I asked if I could order food at the bar. He just handed me a menu as a response. I ended up ordering a beer, a burger, and some fries. The burger is your basic patty and things like cheese cost extra. It looks like they try to do a Five Guys kind of thing with a section in black that comes free on your burger like ketchup, lettuce, mayo, etc. I opted for sriracha mayo and blue cheese (extra cost for the cheese) along with everything that normally came on it. My burger was good and actually cooked medium like I asked for. The fries were lackluster, nothing special. I see other reviews mentioning seasoning; I didn't know you could get that, and wasn't offered that or the garlic flavor either. Ultimately, I felt so awkward there like I was in the way of the people drinking at the bar, I probably wouldn't go back unless it was during the day for lunch. Maybe it's a different vibe then. I totally felt like this was a bar that happened to serve food, not a burger place that happened to have beer. As a non-college student, maybe I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and it's college student drinking time on Saturday nights, not really dinner time.

One pattie with cheese, lettuce, grilled onions, and ketchup. Garlic fries. $8 something.

I had the Salty Pear Burger and babyyyyy... that melted brie had me questioning my entire life . I was over there dipping the fries that came with the burger INTO the melted brie because why not?! Dang gone good. Juicy burger, flavorful, cooked right... just chef's kiss. Now let's talk about those fried sweet potatoes drizzled with cinnamon and homemade caramel... OMG. I was in complete awe. Sweet, salty, crispy, warm... yeahhhh they snapped with those. I love Brussels sprouts too, but I ain't even make it over there because them sweet potatoes had my full undivided attention . Hubby said the Brussels were DELISH though. And the Gin Smash?! Whew . The bartender absolutely DID THAT. Smooth, refreshing, dangerous in the "I might order another one" type of way . They have inside and outside seating plus a nice bar area that gives laid back but still vibey. The energy was easygoing and welcoming... not stiff or pretentious. Our server Monica was AMAZING. Personable, down to earth, attentive... just good people energy. She even brought me a small container of their pimento cheese and LISTENNNN... I cannot make this up. DELISH ‍. Fresh, flavorful, not overly creamy like some places do it. I was dipping EVERYTHING in it. Fries... burger... probably would've dipped my drink if nobody was looking . One thing I also appreciated was seeing the kitchen staff actively cleaning equipment and the grill area. Apparently this is something they regularly do because a friend shared she's witnessed the same thing before too... and honestly? That matters. Cleanliness and consistency will keep people coming back. All I know is I'm thankful I live in Tampa because if I lived closer, my wallet and waistline would both be stressed and I've come too far for that... But... I'll definitely be back

Happy hour was just starting or had started, but there wasn't anything on the happy hour menu that stood out to us. They had the Suncreek Brewery Strawberry ale on tap so I had a couple glasses of that. It's perfect for the summer. It's a very light and very refreshing beer. My husband drank Yuengling. We both end up getting a taster of Bourbon later on. My husband went with the six year Willet And really enjoyed it. He said it definitely got better the more that you drank. I opted for something that I've seen in the stores but haven't purchased yet. I was able to try both the dancing panda eight year as well as the dancing panda 10 year. A cheaper bottle of bourbon but definitely good flavor. The 10 was my favorite. For food, I got an order of the S & S sweet potato fries, which comes with a light caramel drizzle. These fries are cooked perfectly and so delicious. My husband got the garlic Parm wings, and while the crunch was perfect on them.(he ordered them crunchy) -he was not a fan of their garlic Parmesan sauce. It just felt like the garlic, overpowered any of the Parmesan. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and the two bartenders that were working the bar, were excellent and very attentive.

To my surprise, I was disappointed by the food. I got the loaded frings and a 5 x 5 burger. I believe the burger is relatively new, since it wasn't on any of the pictures of their menu on Google. Ambiance: The staff was friendly enough and I do like the fact that you can see them cooking the burgers in front of you. However, looking around at the restaurant, it looks like there was no upkeep. There were broken tiles, tables weren't cleaned, and I believe there might have been mold when I was filling my water cup at the ice machine, like visibly on the spout. Food: Loaded frings- I'm not sure how you mess this one up, but they somehow did it. The fries were overcooked and the bacon was fried to hell. I think you can actually see how burnt the bacon was in the pictures. It tasted like charcoal. Lastly, the fries were completely soaked in cheese sauce, which I'm guessing was from a can. It tasted like the cheese you'd have at state fairs, except more watery. There was more sauce than fries and onion rings! I should have taken a picture after eating half of the fries. I could not eat the bottom half of the frings because it was all soggy Burger- the same cooked-to-hell bacon was used on the burger. Not much else need to say about that. Looking at the picture of the burger, you'd think that the patties were way overcooked as well. That was not entirely the case. The patties weren't extra dry, but they weren't as juicy as I would have liked a burger to be. I'd say it was just okay. Maybe a half step below average. I really wanted to like this place, but I wasn't able to. I'm not sure if I came by on an odd day, because the reviews say otherwise. I really hope management can fix these issues.
