BurgerFi is a chain restaurant, but they incorporate some local touches at the Alpharetta location that make it feel more like a single brick-and-mortar venture. They serve an excellent variety of burgers, hot dogs, sides, frozen desserts, wine and beer. It's quite an extensive menu for a burger joint but based on my visit, they could offer a better experience by reducing the sheer number of options and focusing more on execution. The beef burgers are tasty and made with vegetarian fed, hormone/antibiotic-free angus beef. They are seasoned well, but you do not have the option to select a temperature for your patties--they all come out well done. In this respect BurgerFi burgers remind me a lot of Five Guys. However, they offer a much more extensive selection of toppings including sauces, several different cheeses, chili, bacon and eggs. I'm a sucker for a burger topped with a fried egg, so I ordered a double cheeseburger with white cheddar, diced onions and the aforementioned oeuf. The presentation was drool-worthy. Unfortunately the execution failed in one key respect: the fried egg was way overcooked. The yolk was completely solid. That's a huge peeve of mine, especially when I'm paying extra for the add-on. That yolk should ooze down all over the burger when you bite into it. Instead, this egg more closely resembled a McMuffin puck. Such a disappointment. Aside from the egg, the burger was respectable. It was perfectly sized and the beef was flavorful, even though I would prefer to have the option of ordering the patties medium or at least slightly pink. The white cheddar is a great alternative to the standard American on the BurgerFi cheeseburger, but it will cost extra. Speaking of cost, that's another downside to dining here. It's fairly expensive when compared to similar chains like Smashburger or Five Guys. My burger and a fountain drink cost $11 without any side. That's a bit steep, even considering the up-charges for an egg and white cheddar. A single order of fries will set you back an additional ~$3.50. Yikes. One thing that BurgerFi gets right is beer. They have the most extensive line-up of local beers that I've ever seen at a burger spot, by far. At least one offering from Red Hare, Sweetwater, Terrapin and Monday Night Brewing was on tap. Very impressive! It's nice to have the option of ordering a local beer or a glass of wine with your meal. That's something you just can't get at most burger chains. Another unique option is the variety of frozen custard-based dessert options. You can order shakes, floats, cows(!!), sundaes, concretes or regular custards. They will give you a custard sample for free upon request. I tried a sample and this is a really creamy, satisfying dessert option. The space is clean with ample outdoor seating and a couple of communal tables inside, along with several 4-tops. There are two Freestyle Coke machines. Unfortunately the ordering and self service areas are not well marked or divided from the dining area, so there is almost always a line of people snaking around some of the tables. I wouldn't enjoy sitting at those tables because I prefer to eat without a stranger's butt in my face. BurgerFi is unique in that they are offering some products that competitors simply don't have. But from my perspective, that can also be a negative attribute if the restaurant doesn't execute well on all of those products. That's where BurgerFi falls short. It's nice to offer a fried egg topper, but if you overcook the egg then it becomes a huge negative. Local beer options are fantastic but when you charge too much for the standard menu items, it might be difficult for your customers to justify paying extra money for beer and wine. I enjoyed my meal. But with the copious burger choices all around North Atlanta, I won't be rushing back. read more

BurgerFi is known for their amazing burgers and shakes, but I didn't know that their customer service was their BEST quality. When we entered, we had many choices in mind, but couldn't make a decision. Then Dorsa and Maya helped us out in the most efficient way possible(They helped us last time too!!), helping myself and my guest choose what to eat. Just from the counter experience, we already full of joy and smiles. Thanks to the great service, we decided on two juicy and hot BurgerFi Cheeseburgers, a side of warm fries, and a smooth Red Velvet Shake. At first bite, the rich and juicy burger melted in my mouth, and then the fries followed with a nice crispy texture. In the end, I had two separate 5 star experiences in one night, one with the service and one with the food. Amazing, amazing place. Perfect for Alpharetta. I've been living here my whole life and while there are a few good options for good burgers, this is what Alpharetta/ Milton has been waiting for. Five Guys is probably the runner up, but BurgerFi takes the trophy as it offers the same service and quality without dumping buckets of grease on your food. The chain is quickly growing in the US and before long I'm sure they will be popping up everywhere. As an incentive for free custard (its delicious) you can Tweet, Facebook, etc what you think of the food and they will give you a free custard w/ 2 toppings! Its perfect advertising for a company to use social media- Brilliant. My only reservations are the actual burgers. For the price (about $7) it is not very big and won't fill you up. Granted I am a 6'4" guy, but I think most people will agree. Make bigger burgers and this place will literally be a slice of heaven. P.S. People are so whiney!! Don't listen to their reviews. I got the BurgerFi Cheeseburger and never even added ketchup!! Awesome!! Only 5.95. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had and it was double patty wrapped in wax paper to keep your hands from getting dirty and the bun wasn't cut all the way through to keep your burger from falling out the back. I also got the Texas Style Chili Cheese dog and asked for the hot sauce on the side. Best chili cheese dog I've had. Really enjoyed the fries as well. You can request limp or extra crispy. BurgerFi has spread quite rapidly through Atlanta (and the surrounding suburbs) this past year; it'd been in my bookmarks for quite awhile now and I finally had the opportunity to check out their Alpharetta location this weekend. Their concept is reminiscent of two other local burger chains, Farm Burger and Yeah! Burger - which is a good thing, I'm a fan of the organic-healthy-natural-ish movement. BurgerFi's beef is all natural, free-range, with no chemicals or additives. Their menu mainly consists of about 4-5 burger options, a veggie patty option, 4-5 hot dog options, sides, and several frozen dessert selections.The menu also includes a fairly large selection of assorted toppings for the burgers, hot dogs, and side items. BurgerFi also has a "secret menu" available on their website for a couple extra entrees, if there isn't anything on the actual menu to pique your interest. The price point is decent, BurgerFi is a bit more affordable than its two aforementioned competitors; however their entree options are less gourmet and more straight forward, traditional. The burgers range from about $5.50 - $9.00, hot dogs from $4 - $5, sides start at $2 depending on the size and side toppings range from $0.60 to $2 (for chili). The food overall was enjoyable - I had their "100% Wagyu Kobe Beef Dog" with ketchup, mustard, and diced onions. Without a doubt one of the best hot dogs I've had in awhile - the "dog" was so tender and very well seasoned; I also had a side of their fries with the Parmesan & Herb topping - which were decent, though the topping was much more Parmesan than anything else. I sampled bits of their veggie patty, which I really liked - I'll get a better taste on my next visit - and the cheeseburger, which again was palatable, but forgettable. I really like the space and set-up at this location. It's bright and airy with a modern decor - I was especially impressed with the light fixtures (yes, I'm a dork - I know). The set-up is "fast-casual", customers order at the counter, and then are given pagers which vibrate when the food is ready to be picked up at the counter. I'm pescatarian, so when I go to burger joints I always get thr veggie or blackbean burger and their black bean burger is one of my favs. Everything there is made with all natural ingredients and you can get a lettuce style bun if you're trying to be on the healthier side. I got that style bun and it tasted super fresh. I also got a milkshake and it was da bomb. Ron is the owner and he was there when I went. He's awesome and was going around making sure everyone was having a good time. I've eaten here 4 or 5 times since Jan 2021. I had one personally unsatisfactory experience with being charged 50 cents for approximately 4 sheets of lettuce as a gluten-free bun. After I complained a very nice british-sounding manager gave me another burger with plenty of lettuce and then refunded the cost of the burger. I've always liked their burgers and shakes more than Five Guys and their willingness to make things right with old time customer-is-always-right values has cemented this place as my favorite burger joint in the Atlanta area. I can be a hard ass when it comes to food quality and customer service. These guys exceed expectations, especially if you give them a chance. Don't be afraid to speak up with them if something doesn't seem right. These guys are like the USMC of burger makers. Love this place. read more

Easily the best veggie burger ever! So delicious! But it gets a mediocre review because I've been twice, and every time we've had multiple errors with our orders. I'm talking 4/5 orders were wrong on the first and the second time 2/3. We didn't have any strange requests, but toppings were wrong or items paid for were not included (2 kids meals, without drinks). Although I love the veggie burger, I'll go to another location instead. Response to BurgerFi: We actually took it up with the manager after the first visit to inform him of the issues and were assured a return visit would go smoothly. This Windward Parkway location has the best staff. My wife and I have come here several times, and they have always been very friendly and helpful. We always feel like they are happy to have us as customers and want to keep it that way by making us feel welcome and comfortable. The food here is quite good as well. We normally order burgers, fries and a frozen custard, but honestly any one of those by itself would be worth the trip. The burgers are flavorful and are not drowning in sauce like some other places do. The fries are made from whole potatoes and have the skins on them still, which is my favorite. The custard is some of the best we've tasted. We were surprised when we first had it as we weren't expecting anything like it. This is our current favorite burger place and we wish we would have visited it sooner. Given the outdoor seating and the way the menu promotes their hormone free beef, we thought it would be a boutique restaurant that would be too elitist for our tastes... we were very happily wrong about that and will be going back for sure. read more

I decided to give BurgerFi another chance and I'm glad I did. I originally came with the intention of ordering the Breakfast All Day (BAD) Burger, because my husband ordered it last time, but I chose not to. The menu beckoned me to build my own burger instead. I ordered a single burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions and bacon with ketchup and mustard. My husband ordered the double burger with cheese and bacon. We also ordered some fries to share, two drinks and a strawberry milkshake. Despite the long line that was almost out the door, our food was prepared very quickly. Again, we got the little buzzer thing to notify us when our food was ready. And seeing the mountain of food coming back to the table made me really excited for this burger. Just seeing the burger, I knew it was going to be awesome. From the first bite, I knew I should have ordered this the first time I came. A nice single patty grilled to perfected paired perfectly with the crisp lettuce and juicy tomato. The grilled onions on the bottom of the burger made sure that every bite contained all the toppings. So good! And guys, I seriously cannot contain my love for the BUN. Like before, it's branded with the BurgerFi logo, but it's also closed on one side and perfect for holding in all your burger toppings. I love big, messy burgers, but this is definitely appreciated. And the MILKSHAKE. Let me tell you something, I can't EVEN. This milkshake is basically mocking Steak'n'Shake's infamous shakes. It was the perfect thickness. I almost needed a spoon, but a straw sufficed. And the strawberry chunks! So fresh and tasty. I should have just ordered two milkshakes instead of a fountain drink and a milkshake. We split one and I wished we each ordered our own. The fries, like last time, were more than plentiful. I mean, this could easily feed a family of four. We couldn't finish them all! But they were soooo good that I kept eating until I hated myself. So crispy and good. You can't go wrong with good french fries. This time, I also noticed how incredibly busy the place was. The line was never ending. But, throughout our entire visit, there were people picking up trash off the floor, sweeping the patio seating for food (preventing ants!), cleaning up and organizing the condiments and just being super helpful to the patrons. Where was I? I was at BURGER FI! Today was a very special day, as we were able to experience burger through an Elite Yelp event. The owners of the BurgerFi, Ron, wife and daughter Cat as well as the rest of the staff were amazing. We were treated quite amazing, but from the way the acted, I don't think it was just an act. It felt more like their nature. They are very happy people who care very much for their customers as well as their business and put their heart and soul into the business, and you can definitely taste it in their food. We were treated to a plethora of foods from their very tasty menu. From their signature CEO Burger to a double cheeseburger, to a wagyu beef hotdog and amazing deserts. In addition, I experienced the most amazing burger ever the "Breakfast all day burger". The Breakfast All Day burger (B.A.D. Burger, aka the hangover burger, aka my new favorite burger contains a natural ANGUS BEEF patty with a hearty piece of maple bacon, a Fried Egg, Hash Brown, Grilled onions, ketchup and a hint of maple syrup. (Being dairy free, I excluded the American cheese, but go for it...you deserve it) This burger is great at all times of the day or night and is amazingly priced at $7.97 (After eating this hefty meal, I was STUFFED!!!!) If you go here, please take my recommendation, as this was an amazing meal. I have not been as excited for a burger in a very long time. This is probably the most amazing burger I've had since I've moved to Georgia. The staff, as mentioned, was amazing. Everyone was friendly and always had a smile on. I was able to sample some of their beers, including a local beer from New Belgium Brewing - Pumpkick ale. This was one of the best pumpkin beer's I've had in a while. It is a nice soft, easy to drink ale and went great with nearly everything that I ate here. Don't forget to try the appetizers...but be careful...there is so much great food, you may fill yourself up before you get to the deserts. Though I wasn't able to eat them (being dairy free), the Red Velvet Concrete Custard looked amazing, and by the looks of my colleague's faces when they devoured these...they looked like they were in pure bliss. My all in total was $12.87 The food was worth the price. If you come in during the lunch hour rush expect to wait for your food. We waited 18 minutes for our food. Parking is tough between 12-2 however the food is phenomenal. I had the wagyu+brisket burger, yeungling off the tap and Urban Onion Rings.... I will have to say this all cost me $23 which is fairly exspensive. Nonetheless the lettuce wraps burger I had was amazing! I love the flavor of the urban onion rings. The environment is very neat. Now that I tried the best meat patty, I'll definitely be back and try one of the regular Angus beef patties as well, along with the fries. When I got there to pick up my order, the burger was ready, but they were waiting on a fresh batch of fries, which didn't take long. The burger was pretty good. My first review of this place (and my first Yelp review) talked about the ridiculous prices, especially for the tiny drink cup (just about $3), but I complimented the food because I thought the burger tasted good (I see myself and other Yelpers as recommenders/informers, not food critics, and I couldn't recommend this place based on value). I came here yesterday for the third time (not by choice) and decided to order 2 hots dogs (and water). The New York with sauerkraut and mustard tasted good, but small for around $4.50. Here's the 1-star: the chili-cheese dog had CHEESE SAUCE that was disgusting. Think nachos & cheese at a movie theater. When you're charging $5 for a small hot dog, you don't even have to rely on the Sysco truck - you can afford to go to Kroger and buy bags of Kroger brand 3-cheese shredded Mexican and sprinkle some REAL CHEESE on top of that mediocre chili. It grossed me out and I felt funny afterwards. This place will be out of business soon.
