Background: my wife lived 28 years in Ft. Lauderdale where this place originated, so when we moved to Spring Lake, NC and found out there was a location in Raleigh, we HAD to go. When we showed up, it was still a little early for supper, around 5, we just got done shopping at Trader Joes and were very hungry. We walk up to the counter and a young women is counting her drawer, totally ignoring us and I think she may have actually snarled at us as we waited for her to finish a task I would think more appropriate in the back not at the register. Anyway, after looking at the menu and checking out the drink selections, the man I gathered was the manager finally showed up and asked us if we were ready to order, um yeah, we have been here for five minutes now (fast food?). So he does his best effort to take our order, showing zero personality, never welcoming us to the BURGER FI!! After that it got better, the food was cooked in a fair amount of time, the food was up to par with the Lauderdale location. The store was acceptably clean. I know we finally got done eating around 5:45 and finally another couple showed up. I really wonder if the employees showed a little more personality and service like the original Lauderdale store whether or not their business might be better. Just my opinion. The food was excellent and maybe in the world of fast food, that is all that matters. How many other places can you drink a beer with your burger and eat some very tasty onion rings. For those who don't know, an onion ring needs to separate, you should not pull the entire onion out every time you bite into one. The onion needs to maintain a crispness, which theirs did perfectly, the only better rings in NC were at the smokehouse for the Aviator in Fuquay. I will probably be back, but won't go out of my way. I love a good burger, anytime. I've been here a couple of times, and the place is just mediocre. I love their decor and their menu selections. Everything's made to order so you get a buzzer to let you know your food is ready. I like that. I also appreciate a good quality angus beef like they have here; that's a must for a solid burger. But honestly their food is way overpriced for what you get. It's $11 and some change for a regular cheeseburger and regular small fries!! Why? I get hungry again after 2 hours. Their burgers are tiny and don't taste extraordinary; they're just okay. Nothing special about them. Their fries are from real potatoes with skin, hot and delicious and just the right amount of thickness, but they don't come seasoned; if they do you pay extra for it. Tonight my 11 yr old son went again to this location. Once again the SAME order was made wrong. My son son came back to the table and we were amazed because I had warned Aaron , who is someone's there, that they have always messed the urban fry order up. I asked him to please make sure they put everything on the side. My son can't have garlic or mayo. Once be again the kitchen tossed it together . We've ordered these same fries on our mom son date night about eight times now. EVERY time it's wrong and sometimes we come when it's slow and other times when it's busy. No excuses anymore. Usually by the time we've gotten the corrected order my son has finished his burger and we don't eat together. TONIGHT I very nicely told Aaron to make sure. He's very sweet and helpful. The food was wrong again and v tonight if had it. $26 for burgers and after the eighth time they can't get it?!. Too make it worse the so called manager was nasty to me and interrupted the conversation Aaron and I were having. The girl behind the fryer yelled back at me in a snarky manner that they were busy making an excuse for the order. Neither of c them realize that this has happened Everytime my son and come. Finally another lady came from the back, who I think was another manager.. where was she this whole time?! She was helping poor Sweet Aaron do the transaction. She also seemed upset, I'm not sure if it can was with the issue or me or her social skills lacking staff. She was slamming her keys and punching the register like it was someone's face. I tried to tell her I didn't want a full refund, only be to pay for my b son's and leave I told her Aaron was was lovely and that I had told him this would happen and it very did. She she calmed a bit b and I told her how inappropriate Willam was for grabbing my pen and the girl in the back yelling her excuse Then Willam turned an n me v yelled at me that if I called him boy again he would fuck me up! This is what my son and I heard him say! The last who I'm assuming was a GM pulled him hard bc side and everyone in the kitchen started hooting! Are you serious?! Did this all just happen to me and my son tonight?! I've complained once before now in wish I had Everytime this has happened. It's become a family joke because we thought they messed or order up on purpose. No they have horrible customer service and tonight I was threatened and v told not to come back. We've been here since they opened and c this is unacceptable. He c was mad because I called him a boy? Well I'm 40 , everyone is a boy. When he snatched my pen from my hand, I said boy do not grab my pen while I'm writing your name down. He should not be a manager or work for this company. Cookout had better service. Next time, I would take my (delicious) food to go. The chairs are uncomfortable, and the constant in-and-out traffic is a bit much for the small dining area. However, take-out would mean I would have to sacrifice a trip (or three) to the amazing machines that allow you to customize your drinks with flavors you never knew existed. So, on second thought, maybe dining-in was worth the headache! I got the BAD Burger per suggestions by other reviewers, and my boyfriend and I split a small order of Urban Fries, which were far too big and far too smothered in aioli (read garlic mayo) to eat the entire order. They were still pretty good though, if you appreciate your fried food covered in more fat, and I totally do. We will go back whenever our diets permit another splurge day. read more

Plus: very good tasting burger Deltas: --very cold inside --WiFi didn't work --have to pay separately for fries/onion rings --fries/onion rings are expensive and even the smallest is a Huge quantity. --I thought the fries had very little flavor. onion rings were OK. My burger was so rare it was still cold. When I called to tell them they didn't answer. The order line told me there isn't anything they could do. Didn't even care that they served me a rare burger. BURGERFI has a great, more upscale ambiance and good outdoor seating for a burger place. Very clean and looks very new. I would say their food is really good, but a little pricier than I expected. First let me tell you. Im not a big time burger fan, but my girlfriend is. Five guys is one of her favorites. But we will travel to get this burger. Found it one day while leaving Costco searching for food. About 23 for enough food and soda for 2 people. Im sure it could be more if you tried. We just had the soda, 2 regular burgers and a small fry. Read in another review that the management takes the tips. I didnt see a place to tip (management usually takes the tips at chinese restaurants too so you might want to rethink this burger fi) Overall my experiences have been great. read more

The only reason I won't go back is the logistics and price. If I'm going to pay upwards of $12 for burger/fries/drink then I would rather get table service as opposed to navigating through the crowd to get my own drink and condiments. Then having to wait for the buzzer to navigate the crowd to get my food. Having to sit at a table while the crowd of people buzzing around getting their drinks and condiments. Definitely not a good place to go if you're trying to herd your kids through. Other than that, the food was really good. My family and I went to the BurgerFI at N. Myrtle Beach on September 21st. One of my sons decided to pay for his own meal. He ordered right behind us. Over 30 minutes later, we were almost finished, and his meal hadn't come up yet. He inquired about it and was told "yours isn't done yet". I got involved (because I'm a little more forceful) and was told it would be about 5 more minutes. Five more minutes? Over a large order of fries and a hamburger? Really?? One person completely ignored me, the person who took our order said she "can't make the fries cook any faster" and then SHE ignored me. I asked if that's how they treat their customers? Still nothing. No apology for the extended wait, no explanation for why other parties were served faster, not even an admission that maybe there had been a problem. On top of it all, his burger was lukewarm. Apparently the fries were pretty good though. Avoid this restaurant. The food isn't worth the lousy service...especially when you can get better everything right down the road. read more
