I arrived early my order was already in the pick up station. There were two customers waiting at the counter. We waited several minutes while the attendant was preparing milkshakes for another order. The other guest order was taken. I waited another few minutes. I then told server I had placed an online order. The server checked a bag that had been sitting there for at least 5-minutes and it was mine. I don't know how long it had been sitting there prior to my wait time. I decided to dine in as it had been some time now since I arrived. My burger was a bit soggy and not hot and my fries were the same. Who knows how long they were sitting there? I ordered two side sauces and one was missing so I asked the server to get it for me. To be fair, I ate everything. The burger was seasoned perfectly and was juicy--a good burger that could have been awesome I think. The fries were soggy and cold but again the side sauces were tasty and other than adding salt (there was none) they seemed like fresh cut and fried and were tasty. As I ate, I noticed a woman who was picking up a large order. She went through every bag and checked the contents against her order. That took a few minutes, and I thought how the food was turning colder by the second. Either she was used to checking all take out or she was experienced with this restaurant. Here is the point: You need to fix the flow for online order pick up and fix the training that can't get an online order straight. I will be back, but I will never order ahead again because I can't trust that Burgerfi can get the service counter staffing and training established as a priority. Insane dining experience in the worst way possible. I have no idea how this location is still open or why corporate hasn't gotten involved. Stood at the counter for ten minutes while being ignored, the cashier literally quit in front of us citing that the job was destroying him and his grades. We were then told that the restaurant was on hold so our orders couldn't be taken. After sitting for another twenty minutes we notice that another employee is taking orders so we go back up, we ordered two burgers onion rings and a shake. I notice that there are at least four other parties seated that were before we even entered that have been waiting to either get their food or their order taken. The family next to us has been waiting an hour to even order because every time they go up to the counter the staff says they are on "hold". There is zero organization and the staff are either yelling at eachother or laughing and making jokes about how poorly things are going. After FORTY minutes I finally get my order. Burger is completely cold, onion rings have no breading and are just soaked in oil and there's no shake. I go up to ask about the shake and the guy at the counter laughs and says the shake machine is broken and calls into the kitchen to the woman to took my order and makes a joke about it. During my time at this establishment I saw two people get incorrect orders after waiting for half an hour or longer or people who left after being refused service for over an hour. They ended up closing while we were still inside at like 5pm. No idea how they are still open and why corporate does not care about this location. read more

The food here is pretty decent. My issue I ran into was over charging me and then saying the menu is generic to all locations. The sign board behind the counter actually has the same prices listed as the "generic" menu card. I was charged 7.97 for a burgerfi cheese burger however the menu and sign say 6.97. Come on it's only a dollar but really don't make a cheap excuse about the card being generic when the sign board also says it. I wonder how many extra dollars this place has made since opening due to folks not paying attention. Also on the menu it says 3.00 for fries when added to a burger or hotdog. Well I was told you have to specifically ask for the combo special to get the fries for 3.00 otherwise the price I was charged was 3.27. Really guys the restaurant just opened and the POS system, sign board, and cardboard menu don't match up. Two of them do so I'm assuming that someone should be held accountable for all the over charges folks have had I'm sure I'm not the only one. The staff were friendly and place clean and organized. The food overall was decent for a burger. The fries were not crispy but slightly soggy. So if you want a decent burger come by but pay attention to your receipt. read more

New burger joint in Potomac Town Center. Not a super high end. I'd say a step up from five guys sort of a Fuddruckers or Bobby's burger palace. They have a good selection of burgers, some hot dogs and custards. I had a bacon cheeseburger. It was solid. Prices are mid range. Not cheap but not $16-$18 like some places. Obviously with the name they have free Wifi. There is a counter with a bunch of small tables. No booths or anything. The staff was friendly enough. They waved while I took pictures of the outside before walking in. Good addition to Potomac Town Center as there are not any burger specific places to eat there. Located next to PF Changs and NYAJ (Not your average joes). Give it a try. read more

So first...and last trip to Burgerfi. There were staff hanging around despite a line to the door. One register open but ok I get that. While waiting saw two individuals come up due to orders being wrong and then when we received ours it was discovered that the cashier did not ring one of our items. The fries were good and the onion rings. The burger, mine the bacon burger was just eah. Nothing to write home about. I would leave this as a management failure. Orders were being placed on the order counter with out the kitchen calling them out. Since there was only one cashier she did not see this and I had to point out the meals at least twice. We were excited to check out this new burger joint, but unfortunately the overall dining experience left us unimpressed and dissatisfied. The patties were bland and very thin for your typical "gourmet" burger and the fries were burnt to a crisp. The BurgerFi sauce tasted like a saltier, knock-off version of In-N-Out's animal style secret sauce. We ended up waiting over 20 minutes for an order of two single patty cheeseburgers and one regular fry. We did not try the shakes, however, as far as we're concerned the only redeeming quality of this "all natural fast food" restaurant was their friendly staff. Found them on Yelp, and figured since it was National Cheeseburger day and we were out and about my husband and I decided to give them a try. There were a couple of folks in line before us, which gave us a chance to review the menu. We were both pleased to see a number of intriguing items as well as some favorites (like Boylend's sodas). The store manager took our order, offered to answer any questions about the items on the menu, provided comprehensive responses that showed he understood what they were selling. He was very pleasant to talk to and had a great attitude. We both got the single cheeseburger (it comes as a double standard), he also got the Texas hot dog and we split a Cry & Fry. I requested that the BurgerFi sauce be provided on the side of my burger. While we were finalizing the order, we suggested that they open a location that's a bit closer to us (this one is about 15 miles away), and he let us know that they are looking at markets near where we are. I will say that it was a little bit of a wait, but the atmosphere was pleasant and the music selection was interesting. The wait did take into consideration that they cook to order, rather than let things sit out waiting on the next person to order like fast food restaurants do (bleck). My husband was facing the counter while we waited for our food, and mentioned that he thought our food was about to come out. He watched the staff member not only confirm that all of the order was there, but double check with the cook to determine which burger didn't have the sauce on it. (this doesn't happen in many sit down restaurants with 4 stars...). Everything was there, and prepared properly (the lettuce was crisp, the tomato was thicker than a piece of paper, the cheese was where it belonged), and everything was dispersed on the bun so that you would have everything in each bite. The bun even tasted good (not like fast food cardboard, but like real bread). I don't normally like the "special" sauces that places create, usually either too spicy, too mayo heavy, etc, but this one was really good. I dipped my burger in it, I dipped my fries in it, and even dipped the onion rings in it. *recommendation to the company: put that sauce out as a topping next to the ketchup. My husband really enjoyed the hot dog (wasn't sure he'd like the dash of hot sauce they put in it, but really liked it). The fries were definitely hand-cut, single fried, and fresh. I liked that they weren't double-fried (and so crunchy that you could poke out an eye), they had good flavor, and weren't salted to death. Oh, and they weren't battered. The only thing that was battered were the onion rings. They were also HUGE and thick. The batter was nicely prepared, and complemented the sweet of the onion perfectly. My daughter ordered a cheeseburger and there was mold on the bun. I took it back to the counter and showed the lady who had taken our order. She got the manager, who apologized. I mentioned that she might want to check the rest of the buns in that package for mold. She brought out a new cheeseburger for my daughter, who wasn't hungry any more so we packed it up to go. I was a loyal customer until today. I waited over an hour for my order, which I placed online, and it still wasn't ready when I arrived. I waited another 40 minutes only to find out the cashier still hadn't transferred the order to the system. While I was waiting, I witnessed several customers complaining and asking for refunds because of extended wait times, the cooks horse-playing, the cashier on her phone, and a customer returning part of an order. I left without my order or refund. The manager couldn't cancel the order, so I'll have to return to request my refund from the owner. Not a good first experience. So, the service- I was not greeted as I approached the register, I didn't even get a smile. They ran out of ketchup. My friend went to the register and was given ketchup packets. When I went to get some, I was told "it's coming" referring to the refill for the ketchup dispenser, which took more than 5 minutes. Now the food, I was disappointed in the obnoxiously large onion rings! One had the layer you're supposed to peel off with the skin. They were bland and the bottom half was soggy. I really think they were a waste of $4! I had a cheeseburger with a couple of toppings. The bun was soft, the patty was small, and there was so little Burgerfi sauce that I couldn't taste it. Follow up: every establishment has their ups and downs and I am one not to hold grudges. Burgerfi is my spot for burgers in Woodbridge. And I have to say they have since my last post redeemed themselves. Last week I returned for their Thursday beer special when a gracious and enthusiastic young Ms. Gracia came off her dinner break to assist her staff with my purchase and went on to humor me as I awaited for my order. These are the types of interactions that regular customers appreciate when we frequent fast food establishments. Customers are so often overlooked as a decimal in their paychecks. Garcia went beyond to impress one client with her college aspirations regardless of Burgerfi's value to her professional career aspirations. Woodbridge can solicit and attack 3-5 star establishments but as long as management continues with customer service expectation bar of 1-2 star our neighborhood will continue with substandard service. read more

First of all, let me tell you that I'm typically not a big burger guy. I've always found most burgers to be rather tasteless. However, my experience with Burgerfi was phenomenal! I came in around 9:30 PM, right before they closed up shop at 10pm (whoops!) so I was a bit worried about the food being more mediocre since most restaurants stop cooking an hour before closing time. This was not the case with Burgerfi where the food was fresh, tasty and quick. I was pretty impressed considering the time of the day. I was also impressed with the customer service, Brad, the guy at the cashier stand saw that I forgotten my glasses and quickly offered an easier to read menu and he was friendly, upbeat and attentive. Once again, I'm coming in 30 minutes before closing so this was pretty awesome. I found that Burgerfi takes the best of the customization of Five Guys with the quality of Shack Shake and combines it to create a delicious burger. They also offer a small draft and bottle beer selection, so look at that! I hope that this place stay around for the long term. I'll be going back to try out some of their other menu options as well (they have hot dogs!!) read more
