We love coming here with our kids! They love the grilled cheese which is great because it actually comes with TWO grilled cheese sandwiches that they can share. My husband and I love their burgers which are made fresh to order and their fries are the fresh, hand-cut kind, yet still really crispy. Oh! And kids get free ice cream which is always a hit with our girls too! All in all, Burger Fiend is a great local place that we're always really happy to support. In my opinion, this is as good or better than any other burger in the area. You have a lot of ways to customize your burger, and they're always deliciously juicy. My daughter and I love coming here for bacon burgers. Hot and fresh, with great toppings to choose from. These are my favorite burgers. The fries are an acquired taste though, not golden or crispy, but they're good in their own way. Definitely try the fries, but know they're not for everyone. The open kitchen is fun as you can see how everything is made (this place is clean, and it shows), but you might leave with a hint of diner scent on your clothes (worth it). The fountain machines feature Coke beverages, which is a huge plus in my book. The 9-flavor soft-serve machine is a nice touch too. They just started a Burger-of-the-Week feature. Fresh yummy meat, fries, fiend fries, and a cup of fountain Hi-C, this place made me full, satisfied, and emasculated because I lost and had to bring home left overs. The interior is a warm environment with wood walls and TVs on the walls. The layout was pleasant as well. I order the double bacon burger basket and fiend fries because I felt brave and hungry. The basket fries were small but I learned why after the burger. The burger tasted amazing and I felt pretty filled after finishing. The fries were good fries, but the fiend fries were very good. It had the ranchey whatever it's called that you put on gyros spread above the caramelized onions, bacon, and cheese. Honestly I didn't really like the gyro sauce juice stuff outside of the gyro world personally, but I it was still good and not only did my friends like it, I could see others commonly enjoying it. By the time we left I still had a lot of fiend fries to take home. I would go back and will go back to redeem myself by finishing my meal. I liked BurgerFiend from day one because we didn't have a 5 Guys..... And you know what, its better. Way better. It doesn't have some of the flash and certainly not the rabid following, but the burgers are better. The fries are better. The dessert offerings are better. I think the seating is better (more room around each table). Ok, so they don't have the fancy billion flavor soda machine there, and I have to settle for something mundane, like a Coca-cola... normal. Came out on a Friday night. Was busy but not too bad. Ordered our food and only waited a little bit before our food came. We've been here before but today wasn't that great. The bottom bun of our burgers was soggy... like they threw it in water. It looked "doughy" but it's a store bought but so it was cooked. They were out of medium cup lids and a few tables were dirty. Basically a clone of the Five Guys concept. Give them credit for jumping on that before the franchise got to CR. Not much to dislike here. I still am waiting for a return call from the owners or manager. There were four of us dining, our first visit and our last. The place smells greasy when you enter. I ordered a double bacon burger they were nice to tell us the bacon would be in with the meat. My wife ordered a single burger. The other couple with us ordered single burgers with cheese. We also ordered a large fry for all of us. When we got our order both burgers were singles. My wife tasted hers I tasted mine, we switched...no sign of bacon mixed in the burger. The mushrooms on our burger were cold like they were cooked prior and then put on. The burgers are slightly larger than a Freddy's burger. Very thin. They also messed up on the ingredients. We did not want mayo but got it anyway. We asked for our receipt when placing our order and were told it went out via email....interesting when they dont have our email address. The fries were not good. Many of them stuck together and arrived cold some of the worst fries I have ate in my life. The other couple also had a problem the lady had a mans beard hair in her burger it was gross. You could see the root end of the hair. She took it up for another and got a look from the bearded guy cooking the burger.....you can see the kitchen as its open directly behind the counter. The manager brought out her new burger and apologized. I SUGGESTED to get a net for the cooks beard and the manager agreed. The only nice thing I can say about the place is it was new looking and it has an open fountain station so you can help yourself to refills. Soooooo, I just left this place, I ordered a double burger with carmelized onions, jalapeno's, ketchup, lettuce and tomato and I asked for the burgers to be medium rare. Now, to be clear, I was the only customer on line. So after several minutes they brought me a well done burger, no ketchup, Jalapeno's or carmelized onions. I ate the burger because its never cool to return food as we are never sure what will happen once we do. I ate the burger, it was fine. However, I felt it was necessary to tell the young lady of their mistake. She only utters the words "uhuh, uhuh." No apology, nothing. Sadly, that kind of service makes for a loss of a paying customer. I cannot understand how, when I am your only customer, you can get an order so wrong!!??? Sadly, I may reconsider going back. I had a bacon burger, I wanted it to be rare, but they can't serve it that way as they are using commercial sourced hamburger. Burger was dripping fluid, which did coagulate on paper serving basket. The best burger place I've ever eaten at was Buster T Buns, which was located where the Lone star is now on first avenue. They ground their hamburger fresh in house. The burgers were okay, nothing special. The "free" toppings were scant at best. And the buns lay open with the toppings on them for several minutes while waiting for the meat to cook. The fries were dark and soggy, and tasted a bit burnt. The shakes were good. And all this for the price of only $43.00. $43.00!! Really? It's just hamburger, not gold! And I've really had better! Yes, the sign says it's Angus burger, ground fresh daily. And they cook it after you order it, (so does McDonald's now). But $43.00? For that? Won't be back for a second go round.
