My husband and I on a Wednesday afternoon were in the mood for a good burger. We had a gift card for Red Robin. That's another story! Anyways, we decided to eat at Burger Haus. We walked in & were greeted right away. Our drinks & food came out really fast. I ordered the Haus burger and it was so juicy, I took a bite and the juice in the burger came pouring out. Stopped spontaneously due to a highway detour. The food was decent. It wasn't fabulous but it was okay. Fries could've been a bit crispier, grilled chicken sandwich was good but big dry bun that overwhelmed the sandwic. Burger wwas good. The prices however are too high for the quality. For 3 people our bill was $70!! Server was very nice and food came quickly. Wish we had looked more closely at the prices when we came in. Yikes!!! read more

One of my dear friends recommended this place and I am so glad I finally got a chance to try them out. We ordered the buffalo shrimp and the bruschetta for appetizers. Both were great. The shrimp were a good size and were very flavorful. We ordered truffle fries and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious. I ordered the burger with avocado on it. I believe its dubbed the Cozumel... but dont hold me that lol. It was very good though! The only thing I didnt care for was the mixed drink I ordered, it was really watered done. Visited this location on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at 12:30 pm. We are pretty regular with weekly visits. We are used to them seeming under staffed and have always been patient . Today it was way beyond reasonable. We sat at the bar. It took 25 minutes to receive menu and to place our drink order. No big deal. We were patient. The bar tender seemed to stress and roamed around about forgetting what she was doing. Watched another couple leave without ever being acknowledge. They said they don't have time to wait. Finally was able to order our food and ask for another drink. Before she placed our food order in the computer she roamed around again. Finally placed the food order and she turns around to ask questions and still forgot our drinks. Reminder her about the beer. She left the bar area again. We could see she was busy so we were still patient. Even the man sitting next to us said yeh bartender should always babe behind the bar. This was not the case today. After a bit we asked again for the beer and to make it two so we did not have to wait. She then came around to the bar again and said sorry but went to talk to a man who was sitting there for a while. Thats when we had enough. This was after being there for 45 minutes. We watched a table get three separate drink orders from the waitress. That waitress had to come to the bar herself to make and get drinks for her tables. Told the bartender to cash us out for the one beer. Told her we were patient up until she stood on front of us to say sorry but still could not follow thru with the drink request. She did more talking about how they are so busy and could not get anyone to come in. Honestly that's not our problem. We were beyond patient. We were there to have a birthday drink and burger. It would have taken one minutes just to grab the beer. We were fine with waiting on the food. Just when you sit at the bar you expect a level of service. We could only image how messed up the food order would have been. Very disappointed. Hope Owners could watch the cameras back to watch to fix this problem. read more

Burgerhaus did not live up to the hype for me. My experience (like all diners experiences) began with the hostess who gave less than a stellar first impression. She was sucking out of a drink from Dunkin' Doughnuts as she stood behind her little hostess stand. She acted like we were imposing on her although at 4:45pm on a Friday evening the restaurant was pretty much empty. She seated us at a table, even though there were plenty of booths available. That was okay, but weird. The server was okay (more on him later). He kept the drinks filled. I do think it's odd (and maybe a health code violation?) that they bring you your water with a plastic straw already in the glass that is not covered on the tip with it's paper wrapper. Also, I thought restaurants were generally only giving straws on request these days? Apparently not Burgerhaus. The prices are ridiculous. $10 for a hamburger and fries. The HausBurger which is what I ordered, comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion but no mustard or ketchup. I had to have mustard brought to the table. I was not impressed with the burger. It was cooked exactly as I requested (medium rare) but the flavor was just not there. The brioche bun looks nice but it soaks up all the juice from the burger and you end up with a soggy bottom bun. The fries look great but they are nothing special either. For ten bucks I expect a really good hamburger and fries. Where we were seated, we had a view of the hostess area. During our entire meal two or three servers were all goofing around, dancing and playing with each other and the hostess. Honestly, I don't care that they weren't busy. However, it just didn't seem to be the kind of behavior you would want from your staff in full view of your customers. It was distracting and childish. In a place that charges so much for a burger and fries, you expect better behavior from the staff. The final issue was dessert. My sister ordered the bread pudding that was on the specials menu. The server came back about five minutes after she ordered to say they were out. This was about 5:30pm on a Friday night. If they were out, he should have known that at the start of his shift and let us know before were ordered dessert. It wasn't like they had just run out since we had been there, since they place was empty. Maybe he was too busy goofing around with the hostess and the other servers to know they were out of one of their special desserts. I can name several other places with better burgers and fries. Mediocre food and lack luster customer service is what I experienced at Burgerhaus. read more

I love Burgerhaus and it's always a great experience (and a great burger) every time I visit. Their selection of beers/ciders is always extensive and ever-changing, and I really appreciate that Burgerhaus isn't your typical chain restaurant that you'd find in the area. This time around my mom ordered the fish tacos as an appetizer on top of our burgers and they were surprisingly delicious. And since they're not actually an appetizer, but an entree, they came with a side which was nice. As for the burgers, I got The Santiago and my mom ordered The Tuscon. Both were delicious. The reason for the 4 stars vs 5 though, is that we ordered the burgers cooked medium and got them medium rare. When I cut my burger in half there was a little blood on the plate that probably woudldn't have been there had they been cooked medium. Also, my burger came with fried jalapenos and I got a chunk that was just fried batter and my mom's burger bun was charred.. Otherwise, an A+ meal. Get the fish tacos! Highly recommend~ read more

We went on a Friday night around 6 and got right in! The space is very cool and comfortable. Had our kids with and it's a great spot for kids, but actually has some really good food! We had the caprese burger and the lettuce wraps, both were awesome! We had the fried pickles as well. Service was great and the food came out quickly. As I walked into the doors of Burgerhaus the restaurant was so clean, appealing to the eyes and the staff was so welcoming. My guest and I were greeted and welcomed by our server and she was gracious to tell us her favorites, we ordered her recommendation and were so glad that we did. As we waited we watched other's meals go by, our eyes followed each meal and it looked amazing. The food was visually pleasant to the eyes, it smelled amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. Maybe I'm just jaded when it comes to sitdown burger joints, but the bloom is definitely off the rose for Burgerhaus. It's not for lack of trying. In pictures, the burger selections look mouthwateringly delicious and I'm a huge fan of any place that serves up both tater tots and onion rings for sides. Our first time here. I had the Haus Burger. It was cooked to perfection prime beef on a pretzel bun. The lettuce and tomato to dress it were fresh and boy was it delicious! The side that I ordered was cole slaw. It was not what I was expecting. They add Cholula sauce to the regular slaw and then back pepper it pretty good. I didn't like it. We actually had desserts, I had the chocolate espresso mousse and wow was it flavorful! My dining mate had the burger with avocado and a giant slice of pineapple. It was called the Cozumel. She liked it a lot. Her side salad was very fresh and delicious. She also had a dessert: the strawberry mousse with white cake, which was very good. They do have a huge selection of beers, but we aren't drinkers, so that didn't matter. read more

This place used to be one of my favorite places to take my girls for a quick dinner but recently they have been a little flat. The second to last time that I was there...we went after my daughters soccer practice around 800. The waitress kept rushing us because they were closing soon. She seemed as if she was annoyed to get another table so close to closing. The last time we were here...the food seemed rushed out of kitchen because half of it was wrong and the fries for my order were soggy and barely cooked. We went to the restuarant yesterday (7/23/21) a little after 9PM and ordered the Haus with grilled onions and bacon. The fries were cold (although the presentation was great) and the burger was average at best. The waiter asked us if everything was okay twice I believe while he asked the couple sitting in the booth next to us 5-6 times. We should have gone to Culver's in Crete, IL. Lovely gourmet/specialty burger joint with beautiful atmosphere and attention to detail. Plus, it's pretty affordable, has a huge selection of alcohol, and had great service. Would come back! All of them are cooked to order and can come with salad, fries, or more. They also offer premium sides for an upcharge. The important part is how unique their burger combinations are, though. Don't just expect the standard "here's a burger". -Presentation of the food is amazing. It's clear that someone thought ahead about how the burger would look before it was brought to your table. Plus, they cut in half so beautifully. Just look how pretty they look! -Prices are pretty decent. Some of the non-burger items seem a bit on the pricier side, but the burgers are pretty reasonable. This is my second visit. The burgers are very good with three choices of bun, a burger of the month and they are now serving wine! It used to be strictly beer which was a deterrent for me as I prefer liquor then wine so big clap for stepping up to the other masses! Fries are good as well. What an experience! Full disclosure: I have a problem of where this place is located. From a Bar Rescue point of view, this is a great spot. Professional buildings all around and the decor inside has a big city sophistication. The staff was on point and the delicious food was a revelation. I would like to thank the two young women who paid my tab and thanked me for my service in the military. When they left I was tongue-tied because I'm kinda shy when it comes to acknowledging something that I believe should be compulsory to be a citizen of this country.
