Stopped in for lunch on a Friday for the first time. I had the gyro wrap which was good but could have used more sauce. The fries were cooked perfectly which is a huge plus since the were crispy and salty like fries should be. They have plenty of seating inside and plenty of parking outside. I recommend them based on their food but recently, I had an experience that was not great and my sandwich needed to be replaced. I immediately contacted them, and they offered to replacement. I purchased a meal the only comment that I had was based on the situation with the sandwich, since I ordered a meal, why not replace the meal?I went to get the replacement sandwich, and I had to purchase the fries and drink (it ended up costing a few dollars less than the meal). I had just started going more since I'm not far, but it did not appreciate having an issue and the order taker have me pay for fries & a drink. The Gyros sandwich which is their specialty is over cooked and dry. The sauce was thick no flavor and the tomato's were so small I had to look for it in the sandwich. I've been here a lot over the years and the gyros sandwich was great years ago! The last couple of visit it's been horrible. Been ordering gyros here regularly ever since Tzatziki in schererville closed. These gyros are fantastic: very flavorful, great portions. Lemon rice soup is good. Only thing I didn't like was the shakes and rice pudding. The gyro easily makes up for that . read more

Was up in the old High Land today and decided to finally try this spot. I hadn't had a philly cheese in forever so I ordered it through the drive through. Lady was friendly, it only took a few minutes but nothing out of the ordinary for a place like this. Unfortunately I got a call on my way home and ended up not getting to dig in for another hour. It tasted really good. It doesnt look as cheesy as others I've had but it still tasted cheesy so I'm guessing it's because I had it wrapped up for an hour. I've been here years ago and was in the area so I decided to come back. Since I don't eat the foods I ate before I always look at the online menu to see what I can eat. I noticed plenty of choices, but the the Mediterranean Chicken Pita caught my attention and sound soooo very delish. Called my order in and it was ready within 10 minutes.....now that's what I call fast service. Now for the sandwich.....IT WAS HEAVEN IN MY MOUTH! I SHOULD'VE ORDERED TWO!! The flavors of EVERYTHING mixed today was SO FREAKIN DELISH. I thought I would be able to take a bite/two and finish when I got home. It didn't make it home at all. Pretty average. the cashier was really nice and the mean has a great flavor to it. I ordered the Italian beef with the French bread. the issue I had was that the juices from the meat soak the bread so much that it's disgustingly mushy before you're even able to pick it up and the fries tasted like freezer. the resteraunt also has pretty outdated chairs and tables which I dont mind personally, but it's definitely aged and cracked. It's the absolute best place to eat in Highland. It may take a little longer because all of their dishes are made to order, but since it's counter service, not fast food, that's fine with me. This place always has reliable quick food, and I especially appreciate their late hours. Whenever I'm sick or start feeling under the weather, I head over here for their lemon rice soup. I had a $40 order through the drive thru. I drove 2 miles back to work and once inside realized one of my coworkers cheeseburgers was missing. I went back and the girl working the drive thru told me i had to come in. When i went in she went through the receipts and told me she didnt have a cheeseburger on it and she must have missed it. So she told me if i wanted it id have to pay the $3 (even though it was her mistake). Very disappointed. Have tried them before, even worked there back when it was Miami Subs. Hugely disappointed this time. They must have recently raised prices because their menu board didn't match their online menu off their website. They made two items in my order wrong. Had to go inside after sitting in drive thru forever to get it fixed. By the time they fixed my order, my fries were soggy and cold and no replacements were offered. The girl behind counter seemed clueless. It was so expensive too! $36 for mediocre sandwiches and soggy fries. I wish I had just driven a little further to Munster Gyro or Pops instead. i like the lemon rice soup here and that they have it everyday! i usually get the soup or a gyro. i order the fries well done so they dont get soggy on the ride home. had a couple times that were more of a 3 star but i usually am pleased with what i get and my experience here so it gets a 4 overall read more

Stopped here to check it out. I walked in only 1 couple inside, I ordered a gyro plate to go and found out it came with a soup and chose lemon rice. I've had gyros from all over and I can't recall a time when I received a plate in less then 5 mins. Soup was served in styrofoam yet was watery and cold lol!! Fries were limper then a 80 yr old man and just as cold...the pitas were what I'm guessing pre toasted cause they were super chewy and cold. Meat was never browned/carmelized from the rotisserie prolly cause it was never on one.
