Love this place! Food, service, ambience all great! Prices are on the high end of reasonable.

We went here for dinner with a large group of-- they were quite accommodating with seating us inside, and the service was very attentive. The food left a little to be desired, though. The garlic bread pictures with the small tin of dipping sauces, which was recommended by our server, was $17 and quite a small portion considering it was just bread and sauce. The garlic bread was good and somewhat cheesy, but definitely not worth the price. We had well-prepared main dishes, including the enchiladas and eggplant parmigiana. This restaurant reminded me of a BJs or Cheesecake Factory, only with higher prices with no increase in quality. It is perfectly fine for a dinner in a pinch but I would probably not go back. The booth we sat in also had crumbs on the seat when we arrived. The overall ambiance is upscale but there were some details such as the number of plates and water glasses served and the little cleanliness pieces that left something to be desired.

    Margherita Pizza

No complaints about the food quality and taste. I took my order to go. The Margherita pizza is pretty good. The crust is paper thin. Cheese and toppings loaded to the edge. I had to reheat each slice individually in a frying pan to crisp it up again, the crust is so thin, it can get soggy rapidly. I did feel that ~$24 with tax and tip for a 12" pizza is a little plush.

    Margherita Pizza so good!

Okay, you know I am a New Yorker not matter how long I have lived in California, right?! So, with that said...I am very picky about my Za! It's like all the stars have to be aligned properly...but I digress. I stopped by here after reading a yelp review with positive feedback. The inside is very nice with plenty of seating and a beautiful bar. I ordered it to go because I was dateless that night. I waited by the bar for my order. The staff was super nice and very courteous to me. They offered me water and before I knew it my order was ready. I was a starvin' Marvin and could not wait until I got back to my Airbnb to eat. Lol. This pizza was delectable!!!! The right amount of cheese, sauce and crust ratio was happening and this girl's taste buds were doing the happy dance. Who cares that it was 113 degrees out at 7:30 pm, I was eating that hot cheesy pizza while driving. Shhhh you didn't hear that:) Yummmmmm! And my side salad was good too. The next day I heated up my left over margherita pizza and it was just as good. Would definitely go back here and highly recommend this place for dining in or taking out. Plenty of parking in the lot. Check the website to confirm hours of operation during the summer. There were a few days they were closed.

We didn't have reservations and requested to be seated inside. There was a little awkward first impression with the hostess who told us that there was only one inside table left in the back corner. She didn't come across very friendly when we asked if we could see it before deciding if we wanted to sit there or not. I understand they were busy but she was a bit short with us. We were seated in Isabel's section and she more than made up for it. What a gem! She was so friendly and very nice. She made sure to check on us often and we had a lovely time at your restaurant because of her. We are giving this review 5 stars because of Isabel. The seared ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna nachos were both delicious. The fish was fresh and so very tender with a light dressing. The pulled pork tacos were good too. The brownie dessert was a bit dry though.

Instead, she bit into a sharp chicken bone hidden in the salad--something that absolutely should never happen. This wasn't a small, soft fragment either; it was sharp enough to cause immediate, severe pain and pierced her gums. This is not just a minor oversight--it's a major failure in basic food safety and kitchen preparation. There is no excuse for serving food in this condition, especially something as simple as a salad. We trusted this restaurant to provide a safe meal, and that trust was completely broken. What makes this even worse is that the situation could have been far more dangerous. If swallowed, this could have led to choking or internal injury. No customer should ever have to worry about that when ordering a salad. I strongly urge the restaurant to take a hard look at their food prep standards and quality control, because this is unacceptable. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The menu might be considered small however plenty of excellent choices for everyone's palate. We started with martinis Aviation gin for me & Ketel 1 for my hubs complete with bleu cheeses olives served tall & verrry cold. Our appetizer choice, the deep fried artichokes served with a creamy tasty aioli nicely presented however a bit over salted for our tastes, hence the 4.5 vs 5 stars. We came in to Italica wanting pasta the Bolognese with wild boar/fennel sausage arrived practically overflowing from the bowl, easily could have served 2 or possibly an appetizer to share at the table. My choice the Spaghetti Alio Olio presented bucatini pasta with bread crumbs & pecorino cheese ~ OOOOH MY, sooooo DELICIOUS my bowl was inhaled. Mid meal we ordered the prosciutto ~ fig jam flatbread just perfection the jam adding sweetness in every crunchy bite. To full from our appetizer & pasta we skipped dessert this trip but we'll be back!!!!!! as the drive to Indio from Palm Desert is maybe 30 min (+\~) easy & plentiful FREE PARKING be sure to look for the all stainless patchwork door for entry, once inside relax & enjoy the vibe.
