    Pickle Spears
    Chris M.

The Burg'r Bar was recommended by some coworkers so we went for lunch. We were seated quickly. The atmosphere is western style. Service was attentive. We started with an appetizer, the Pickle Fries. They were Spears in shape and a home made ranch dipping sauce we all like them. My burger choice is the Charlotte Patty Melt. The burger was cooked to a good temperature have to say really enjoyed the sourdough bread. $17 is a little expensive for a burger and one side. It's pretty expensive. Overall good atmosphere. Burger was tasty and the pickle fries were definitely good.

Corned and Confused take on English Muffin. Not recommended.

A Classic Case of if it Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It. Our favorite restaurant (after Hurricane Charley's) for many years, Burg'r Bar is unfortunately under new ownership. Presumably Mother Goose, judging by the ridiculous menu titles and the stupid cow pix on the walls (this is a bar after all, not a Chuckie Cheese). But let's get to the important part - the food. Gone is the coconut French toast, a dish so good that we used to order extra to take home. A lot of other favorites were removed as well. I ordered a Corned and Confused from the Pasture Poached portion of the menu. Aptly named, as the kitchen is very confused about what corned beef hash is. I received two tiny English Muffins with little bits of hash browns on them and the toughest chunks of corned beef I've ever tried to eat. The Hollandaise sauce was good. This was $15. Not impressed. I'm so upset with the hatchet job that has been done to a once beloved restaurant I don't know what else to say. The good part is that we didn't have to wait in line, which at 1030 on a Friday morning in season is weird. Or not. Our server was excellent and we tipped her extra cause she's probably taking home a lot less these days. What a shame.

Our happy hour drafts and the menu. We were sitting at the bar.

So we are looking for a friendly fun bar, and thought we'd try out Burg'r Bar. We came during happy hour so our draft domestics were cheaper. They came with a frosty mug and a smile. Our bartender was pleasant and helpful. The place was busy with lots of folks. Parking was the toughest part but doable. We had a few drafts before deciding to share a Build your own Burg'r. We selected a burger with cheese and egg - and a side of sweet potatoes fries. It came out on a small tin plate. The gave us another plate too. The burger was big and with the toppings- huge! The sweet potatoes fries were hot and seasoned just right. Good thing we decided to share. Still too much to eat for us but oooh so yummy! We finished it off and loved it! What a great place for cold drafts, friendly workers, and an amazing burg'r, Give it a try. It's on our list of places to return to for food and drinks.

Great service! Pet friendly. We weren't in a hurry but food arrived hot! The french fries are delicious too.

Had never been here before so figured we would try it. Located off 41 northbound. I ordered the Burger of the day candied jalapeños, bacon burger on buttered toast with upgraded side onion rings $13.50 + $2 for onion rings. I wouldn't go with the onion rings, they were not worth it. My wife had the bacon blue burger, bacon burger with blue cheese. She liked it. Food came out fast. Sever was on point. There is also a alcohol bar inside so if you like a drink with your meal they have a good setup. We just stopped for a quick lunch so no drinks for us this time. Was clean inside. With the exception of the burger of the day their burgers are a little more on the higher side for a burger if you are trying to stay cheaper, but you do get what you pay for. Burgers were fresh and made to your liking, medium rare/medium/etc....

Veggie burger on a brioche bun with onion rings

There's a limited menu and I was hoping for their fish and chips but that is only on Fridays. Staff was very responsive and even brought out water bowls for the dogs. The veggie burgers were delicious and drinks good too. We will be back soon!

We have been wanting to try this place, and it did not disappoint! My boyfriend has been craving it ever since we went. Our service was great, and very quick as we arrived right after they opened. The inside is small, and it does fill up fast at times, and I see why! We tried to go one time before and the wait was too long for us at that time. The appetizer was great, I love most things potato! It was like a super thick tator tot. He got the sliders, then I got a small cup of chili and Mac n cheese and made my own chili Mac as I wasn't feeling a burger. I'm sure we will go back soon when we are craving some burgers!

Ok this place is a total dive. It was recommended to me by a local bartender who seems to know her…read morestuff. I came here after a round of golf. Everyone loved my golf hat- "play bad fast". I looked at the outdoor bar but every single seat was taken. All the outdoor tables were booked. So I went inside and saw the inside bar was also full. A table for ten and a table for 6 had departed and needed to be bussed, but both were too much for just one person. So I checked in w the hostess and she asked - booth or table. I wanted table. I got a nice table by the river! Lovely views. Exactly what I wanted. Menus were dropped and soon, Sam was checking in on me. I was so hungry, I had looked at the menu and pics on my way there. I went for the crab cake appetizer and the Gold Wave cocktail. For my entree, I was torn between the Grouper Reuben and the Sea Dog (fried grouper on a long roll, topped with all sorts of goodness). Sam said grouper Reuben was his choice. He asked if I wanted grilled, blackened or fried. I told him to surprise me. For my side, I had the choice of (more) coleslaw (it has coleslaw instead of sauerkraut), fries, sweet potato fries, or a side house or Cesar salad for $4 more. I went w the house salad and their standard citrus vinaigrette. Salad and crab cake came out first. Salad was a huge portion- romaine (some pieces needed better washing), red onion galore, halved cherry tomatoes and cucumber slices. It was great, but needed croutons. The crab cake was the perfect size for one person. It had a whole grain mustard remoulade sauce. Yum! It had some filler but also had a lot of crab. I enjoyed it. The grouper Rueben came out hot!!!! Served with a side of coleslaw and a pickle. I added some needed salt. Boy that fish filet was huge. Sam had put it in grilled for me. Healthy. Nice. I ate half and then I was stuffed. I filled up on the salad and crabcake apparently. I enjoyed the views of boaters going by. It started to rain hard and the folks outside just stayed there. The overhang must've been protecting them well. My server, Sam, was around often to answer my questions. Apparently the grouper Reuben market price is only $21. And if you want redfish or mahi, the price is the same- $21! That's crazy. What a deal. The gold wave is made with Elijah Craig; Good ol Kentucky bourbon. And for dessert, they have cheesecake, peanut butter pie, mud pie, key lime pie, coconut sorbet and orange cake (which he says is a local favorite). I was too stuffed to buy but happy to hear the list. Overall I had a wonderful meal and service was really good. I would recommend adding croutons to the salad, and cleaning up the bathrooms regularly. This place ain't fancy. It's a dirt parking lot. The tables are naked. Folks come casual. However, the prices are great and the food does the talking. Come check them out.

We ordered an Arnold Palmer and a Ponce De Leon margarita, mozzarella sticks, shrimp basket, chicken fingers basket and (2) Florida orange cakes to go. Mozzarella sticks- average. Shrimp basket- good but tropical slaw was store bought with pineapple added. Chicken fingers- good not great, onion rings, good not great . Margarita- strong. Biggest problem- from 9-18 people just standing around talking, making staff walk around them. Other problems- some people just walk in past the front desk and just seat themselves ( the privileged). Total bill with tip $100 . Don't need to travel a half hour to just be ok. Won't be back.

My server was Amanda and she was prompt. I started with a cocktail - the mango tango- and asked some questions about the menu. I had never heard of this Quahog, which apparently is a noreasterner kinda thing. Ok. Chopped clams, bread crumbs, bell peppers etc. why not. I'll try it. Bad choice. It had a good flavor but I kept crunching on shells!!! It seemed like eggshells were in it, everywhere. It was horrible. I kept thinking the next bite won't be like that- but it was. So many bites were bad. I asked the server what was up- she figured it out. It's not shells it's SAND!!!!! They're not cleaning the clams well. Bro. Rookie mistake. This is why I never order scallops. I hate when they're sandy. And now clams?!? I have to stay away from clams?!? Sheesh. She asked if I wanted bread- I said yes. I wasn't sure if the bread was included? It is not included and is an up charge at other restaurants (The Perfect Caper is an example of that, as well as Ortigia). She gave me one piece. It was delicious, served warm and crispy, and the whipped butter was fantastic. I asked what the butter was a Wisconsin country cream. Clean ingredients. Lots of salt. Yum. I also got a small cup of their soup. Amanda said their soups are always good. The soup of the day was braised beef noodle. It was really good. I could see having a bowl of that and a piece of bread and being totally happy. I was torn between the meatloaf and the Portuguese stuffed shrimp. She recommended the meatloaf. Oh boy. That was a great choice; it was huge. Smothered in bruleed cheese and sauteed onions. Lots of gravy. Lots of skinny green beans and a big scoop of mashed potatoes. Wow! What a meal. So good. I got my leftovers wrapped up. I took a piece of the birthday cheesecake home. It was listed on the specials menu. It looked really nice. However, it was not my favorite and actually, I would not recommend it. It's not cake, it's cheesecake, but the sprinkles just ruin the texture and flavor of the cheesecake, which wasn't a great cheesecake to begin with. Skip it. When the bill came, I was surprised the Quahog was on there. Especially because it was so ill prepared and I complained about it. But whatever. I thanked Amanda, paid, finished my cocktail and left.
