I've only been to the location in Orange before coming here and this location is nicer and feels more updated. The facilities and relaxation areas are spacious. My spa facial with Lory was great, though I was in a room that was facing street traffic and the noise from the street took a little away from the relaxation experience. The lighting in the vanity area is very dim and needs to be improved. That it's in a rather closed off area isn't ideal either when people are using multiple blow dryers in such a small area. Parking in the structure is easy and there is validation. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. read more

Another fabulous facial with Lory! She is top-tier. Hands down the best ever. No, I don't live in the area. Yes, it takes me about an hour to get here. Yes, it's worth every mile...and I absolutely hate driving. Especially in LA. But as soon as I pull into the Burke Williams parking structure, the stress is gone. On the ride home, I'm so relaxed from my visit that I'm unbothered by the commute. I'm so happy to have found both my favorite location and favorite esthetician at the La Brea location. After a couple of bad experiences at another Burke Williams location (Pasadena) I was ready to give up on Burke Williams but I received a gift card and decided to try a new location and I'm so glad I did. Everything about this location was amazing. Great, easy, free parking attached to the spa. Location was so clean, service was great from every single person I encountered. Everything is great at this location. I like the Hollywood spa better than others because it's so spacious. Large lobby, lots of space in the waiting lounge, huge hot tub and sauna and locker room. I don't feel crowded. The facials are amazing , the products smell really nice and they also do neck / shoulders / foot massage. If I could treat myself here every month , I would! I purchased a membership this year and I got to say this is my favorite location. They have their own floor in the parking garage and their spa baths are the nicest I've experienced compared to other locations. FYI, if you're interested in the MicroSilk spa bath only this location and Woodland Hills offer it! If you plan on coming to Burke Williams regularly I definitely recommend a membership for their membership prices. I really enjoy getting facials, spa baths and pedicures here. You also get to use their amenities such as the sauna, jacuzzi, quiet room, etc. with a scheduled service. Also can't forget their signature vanilla lemongrass tea! read more

Disappointing end to what should have been a relaxing visit at Burke Williams West Hollywood. After finishing my spa service, I waited in line for about 15 minutes to check out. When I reached the front desk, the blonde receptionist told me another guest was ahead of me, even though I had been standing there before him and he simply hadn't noticed me. Instead of handling the situation politely, she rolled her eyes and responded in a dismissive and disrespectful way. For a spa that promotes a luxury and relaxing experience, customer service like this is disappointing. Guests who spend their time and money there should be treated with professionalism and courtesy. The spa service itself was pleasant, which makes the interaction at the front desk even more frustrating because it completely changed the tone of the visit at the very end. I hope management looks into this situation and follows up, because Burke Williams is known for better service than what I experienced today. read more

Massage was okay, but the real issue was that they were having an electrical issue the day I went, so they were unable to dim the lights in the room! Bright lights on the whole time! And I think the worst part is that they didn't even bother to call me ahead of time to ask if I still wanted to come in or give me the option to reschedule. I wasn't told about the light issue until I was already in the room, undressed, and ready to go! I decided to give it a try since I figured I would mostly be facing down the entire time, but it was still so bright and I couldn't even relax or focus...much less when it was time to turn on my back. I don't go here very often, so as far as I was concerned, it was supposed to be real treat. It really sucks that this was my experience. read more

Unfortunately during my last visit, the manager attitude and the way I was spoken to left me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. When I used Apple Pay, it showed that I was charged and I told her the bank took out money from my account, but she said to tap it again. She didn't believe me. She insisted it hadn't happened bc she has to authorize it but my bank later showed a reversal, proving I was right. if your bank shows a reversal, that usually means the charge did go through twice at first. When she greeted me, it was clear from her tone and expression that she wasn't having a good day. But that doesn't mean it should be taken out on a customer. read more

(The only reason that this review did not get a 5 is because of the cleanliness of the showers, particularly around the drains, and the inconsistency with the match of my first massage therapist.) I've visited Burke Williams before (San Francisco location) and found it fine but not especially memorable. When a friend gifted me a spa day, I was excited to try the Hollywood location. I came in specifically requesting a deep tissue massage and made that clear when booking. Unfortunately, my first session was the opposite--it felt more like a light Swedish massage. The therapist was kind, but it simply wasn't a match. Rather than lie there uncomfortable when I should've been relaxing, I chose to end the service early. On a brighter note, I did enjoy the amenities--the steam room, sauna, and misting room were all lovely (I skipped the Jacuzzi this time). The tea, fruit, infused water, and healthy snacks were a nice touch. One area that could use attention is the showers; the buildup around the drains was noticeable and detracted from the otherwise clean, calming environment. Also, the shower pressure is not great. I'm sure this is because of water conservation but it doesn't make for a super satisfactory shower. The front desk staff was friendly. I forgot the names of the people who were working at the time but one was a tall girl with long braids. She was lovely and quite welcoming. Sorry, I forgot her name. The turning point came when I spoke with Dio, the manager, at checkout. He listened carefully to what I wanted, asked thoughtful questions, and guided me toward a better fit. Based on his recommendation, I rebooked at a later date with Jesse--and the difference was remarkable. Jesse is outstanding. His background, technique, pressure, muscle work, and communication were exactly what I needed. As a former athlete and someone who works out regularly and stays very active, I know my body well, so I was especially grateful to experience his skill. It's rare to find a therapist--especially in a spa setting--who can truly deliver deep tissue at this level. Jesse's knowledge and method are exceptional; he proves that deep pressure doesn't require forceful elbows, but rather skillful hands and thumbs applied with precision and intention. I left feeling completely renewed. I want to commend Dio for his professionalism, attentiveness, and for giving me thoughtful options to ensure I was paired with the right therapist, as well as the opportunity to turn the experience around. I also want to commend Jesse for delivering one of the best massages I've had, and for sending me out of the spa overjoyed and physically restored. It wasn't until I started writing this review that I realized I had reviewed this location over nine years ago. I have to say that as far as the interior/conservatory room goes, I don't think they have updated this since I was last here. The front desk, staff, and my facial/aesthetician Kay were all very nice. Kay was quite effusive and kind. I think if there such a thing as an "old school spa", this place has that vibe. Although there are signs everywhere plus the desk staff who gave me the tour stating it, one guest in the locker room (where the sinks are) decided to practice a rap he'd been working on with his phone. This was my first time going to a Burke location other than my normal San Jose location and OMG was this place stunning! So much prettier and a lot bigger! There is a parking structure with a floor dedicated to Burke and there's an elevator that takes you directly to the entrance. We were greeted right away and I think his name was Fred that checked us in and he was such a delight! The sauna and steam room are what I've come to expect from Burke, lots of space in the locker rooms and again their waiting room is gorgeous! I got a facial with Mercedes and she was great! I usually only get facials from my sister because I'm SUPER ticklish and so she knows how to do the hand and foot massages so I'm not squirming around but Mercedes has the same magic touch so that was great because my service was actually relaxing. I'd definitely make the trip down to SoCal again just to come to this Burke location! read more

I was a Burke Williams member for 2-3 years and this is the location I went to most. Started coming for the pregnancy massage which was really such a treat, then continued my membership for a lot longer. Mitzi is one of the best massage therapist I've ever met and I only go to her. Each time I'm unable to book her I've only been disappointed. She's really the best. Maria is also a fantastic esthetician. You pay a little more here than most places, but it's truly a luxury experience. You're paying for the amenities (dry & wet sauna, hot tub, showers, snacks/drinks, lounging area), expertise and service. The membership is fantastic and I look forward to my treatment every month. Unfortunately, i just don't always have time with a kid. I do wish to continue on the future. Also, I prefer this location a lot more than the Santa Monica location, the layout and parking situation is much better here. Highly recommend, treat yourself! read more

I love the Burke Williams Chain and have been a member for several years now. I have never had an issue with service or any miscommunication before. Everything goes smoothly and I usually have a pretty relaxing time. My favorite therapist here is Chi. She knows what she is doing. I was close to cancelling my membership until I found her. It's hard to find someone that does it how you like. I enjoy this location because it's spacious and there aren't that many people on weekday nights. When I come to this location, it's usually after work so it's really great to relax after a long day. I do have a request, I've put this in many surveys as well - as a 4' 11" female, I wish there were designated lockers that you guys could prep with the smaller shoes and robes so I don't have to ask for it every time. read more

You have to have a treatment to go into the spa. As soon as you're in the parking lot, you feel an instant sigh of relief. I had a bath treatment and I loved it. Lana is sooooo kind. Anneris is a great hostess with the mostest. Parking is included. It's a beautiful location There's a sauna, steam room, fruits to enjoy, jacuzzi. Clothes are optional. Oasis in the city. I always select Lek for massage. She is highly trained with a background in Thai. She has a therapeutic technique that always leaves me feeling SO much better after. After recovering from surgery, my muscles have been a mess, trying to build back up and constant knots. She has a very positive energy and it translates to her massage work, making me finally feel my best after seeing her every month since December. Grateful for her! Plus I always enjoy the steam room and lovely jacuzzi to warm muscles prior to massage. It's also nice to have great facial cleanser, toner, and lotion to use, along with an amazing shower. It was just okay. I've been to many spas and decided to visit Burke Williams with my husband for his birthday after seeing good reviews online. Overall, I wouldn't go back let alone consider getting a membership. The facilities were nice enough and felt fairly clean, however, the wet sauna seemed to be broken or malfunctioning during my visit as evidenced by the spa attendants filming it and attempting to troubleshoot some issues. However, most disappointing was my massage. My provider was sweet and lovely but I didn't receive the deep tissue treatment I booked (despite communicating with her during the massage regarding deeper pressure) and I walked away feeling like it wasn't worth the money I paid for a just ok "relaxation" type massage.
