I had my lawn mower tractor repaired there very expensive. However the tractor came back worse than before. When I called them to let them know. They said it has been a Month. Maybe your oil need to bed changed. Try to change the oil; maybe it will work. Even though, it was really a month, I did not use it at all because the person who normally uses it was out of town. After purchasing a Cub Cadet mower from Home Depot we had an issue with engine. The only place to get it serviced under warranty is Burkhards. At first they seemed to work with us to get the issue resolved, once they had the mower in the shop they started to try to tell us that the battery was bad, even though the mower was less than 9 months old and that the blades were worn. It took over 6 weeks for them to get the warranty repairs done on the mower and when we got the mower back we inspected the "worn blades" that they stated they were gong to sharpen and the blades were never touched. then the battery that they said had to come from cub cadet costing $134.38 I found on line at batteries plus for $89. When I brought the issue with the blades not being sharpened, which they invoiced us for, they stated oh well and that they could not take the service off of the invoice because it was part of the service fee. The battery that they said had to come form cub cadet was the exact same battery that I found at batteries plus. Because Burkhards is the only cub cadet service provider in my area I was FORCED to use them to cover the warrantied motor problem. I WILL NEVER go back to them for any servicing of my mower as they under perform and lie about services provided. read more

After buying disposable tools online my Son convinced me to buy a STHIL STRING TRIMMER for my LAWN CARE. The trimmer is great BUT I got something tangled in my TRIMMER HEAD that seized the TOOL keep it from working. Rather disappointed. I purchased a LOOK VISION 24' enclosed trailer from Burkhards about a year ago. Upon delivery the tongue jack and chains were already rusted. Within three month the tongue had a large area of surface rust forming. The bottom of the trailer was supposed to come with automotive undercoating which it did not. Needless to say the undercarriage was rusting within three months. The trailer had two major water leaks at the backdoor causing mold to grow on the wood planking inside the trailer. One of the leaks was due to a two inch gap with not sealant on a the top seam. I feel I was mislead from Burkhards. LOOK TRAILERS has very poor build quality and cheap materials are used throughout. Burkhards did offer to fix the issue, but the service tech that was sent out could not even identify the leaks. They were just replacing stuff to see if it helped. So I decided to fix the issues myself and not allow Burkhards to touch the trailer. read more

My Honda self propelled lawnmower rear wheels locked up. local service shops recommended Burkhards as they were authorized honda repair place. I dropped off and picked up the next day which was great. about $150. when I got home, the front wheels and back wheels would not align for an even cut. the front and rear were at the 4th highest setting before issue. when I went to cut grass, the rear wheels had issues and one locked up. I took it back and picked up the next day. Dave in service said they forgot to put a cotter pin in so no charge. I showed him the issue with height, he said I needed to lower the front but did not address the issue. My neighbor has the same lawnmower and is a mechanic. originally I did not want to bother him but he said bring it up. found out the Right Rear Wheel was on the left side, Left Rear Wheel was on the right side which caused the problem. I called and told Dave to make sure it doesn't happen again. his comment was "that explains the issue". no apology, nothing. Will never go back. This was to be the "authorized" repair place for Honda. They don't know what they are doing and charging a lot! read more

On 9/14/2015 i ordered a Fan Cover for my john deer gator. I was told by daniel in parts it would take two days to order and then ship to me so a total of 3-4 days. We are both located in florida so realistically it should take 3 days and one extra day incase they can't ship it in time. On 9/22/15 i called to confirm if they received everything and if the parts already shipped to me. I was told by mike and daniel in parts that yes it shipped yesterday on 9/21/15. Meaning it would arrive today, but the parts never arrived. Called back the next day on 9/23 and i was told again that yes indeed they shipped on the 21st and i should get them today maybe ups was stalling..... ups arrived with no package from Burkhards. on 9/24 I called again and spoke with mike who said hey thats weird you should have gotten it already let me track it for you. Fast forward 3 hours later i call back and they still couldn't find the tracking number, but i was reassured that daniel would send it to me via email by mike. Then fast forward two hours later again i called back and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Mike came back on the phone to tell me that indeed they never shipped the package and it was still sitting here in the parts department. i was calm the entire time spoke politely and i feel like the service was absolutely terrible. * no attempt was made to remedy the problem, no discount, no free shipping no sorry, just the classic i wasn't handling this order the guy who was left early and I'm not authorized to give you a discount. * asked to speak with a manager after the entire incident to see if they could "authorize some sort of discount " and i was told by the parts manager that he could not do anything. I purchased a over priced mower from this place,,next year the mower needed a oil change so I purchased two over priced quarts of oil from them and a oil filter... Well the oil filter they sold me was the wrong one...went to exchange the filter for the correct filter and they charged me a $5.00 restocking fee???? for their mistake ??..apparently you have only 7 days to spot their mistake ,,,and return item with in that 7 days..I feel they should have owned up to their mistake and maybe even apoligized for the inconvenience they caused me,,,,,but nope....not the old fashioned customer service you would expect from a family business. read more

Not going back. Got my tractor returned to me and the wheels in the deck were bent. And they messed up my electrical system by cutting the wire for the lights to remove the hood. Rewire was done poorly and open wire shorted the system 3 times. Pain in the ass! read more

My John Deere Z335E was delivered to my home a few days after purchasing it. Tom, an employee, walked me through every part of the tractor. Not only did he explain every part and operation of the machine but he also gave me valuable maintenance tips. As far as the tractor is concerned I am happy with it so far, lets see how it does in the long run. My review was really meant to be about the business and so far I am very happy with them! Previous review: I needed a new lawn tractor to replace my old worn out one. After doing some research of businesses in the area, I went out to visit them. These days you can buy a lawn tractor anywhere, online, home depot etc. but I wanted somewhere where I could establish a relationship with the business for service, repairs etc. As soon as I entered Burkhards I was welcomed and an employee showed me some tractors they had on display. He was knowledgeable and professional answering all my questions. A short time later the owner came over and provided me with a wealth of information not only on the tractors but how his father started their family business. This is what I what I looking for, a family business where I wasn't treated like just a number. During my entire time at Burhard's I observed other customers come in and all were greeted in a friendly and professional manner. I did buy my tractor at Burhard's and now I am awaiting delivery. I've been a customer for, I don't know, 20-25 years. They have a wide variety of stuff there. But, they don't seem to care about you as a customer, especially if you aren't a major purchaser. They are very expensive, and while not outright rude, i have received a lot of curtness over the years. They have a wide variety of stuff. oh, I said that already. Many of their answers for repair work is "customer abuse". They hate to research a broken part or number and many times I have come home with an incorrect one . I live quite a distance and returning is a hassle. Wait for a once or twice yearly sale if you can, or go to Seavey's for friendlier service. They have a wide variety of stuff there, too. Burkhard's will try their best to get out of honoring the warranty on any Echo product that is purchased at Home Depot even though they are an Echo service center. Their exact line: "we are a commercial outfit and don't like dealing with consumers". I dropped of my Echo blower @ Burkhards and they charged me a $37 "diagnostic fee" and kept my blower for a week without looking at it - eventually had to go over there and pick it up. So if you have an Echo product purchased at Home Depot take it somewhere else and by all means CALL AHEAD to where you plan to take it - not all Echo service centers honor the warranty for it's products purchased at Home Depot! read more

It took 2 weeks to fix the rear wheels from locking up on my honda lawn mower. I don't mind waiting, but Kim (in customer service) was putting customers ahead of me when hurricane Erika was supposed to come through last week, which it didn't. She even told me over the phone that they were putting the generators ahead of my mower, nice huh? Why should I have to wait for people who procrastinated? Looks like the jobs that are bringing in the most money take priority. So, I picked up the lawn mower today. Hopefully the issue is resolved now cause this is the second time that I've brought the mower in for the same issue. The first repair was done a year and a half earlier. Beware of Kim in customer service. She is the nasty one over there. She's disorganized and doesn't know what she's doing. She told me that if my mower was under warranty, they would refund my deposit. My mower is under warranty and today she gave me an excuse as to why they couldn't refund my deposit. I just let it go. However, while waiting out front to get my mower, she storms out of the office with fire in her eyes - "I told you to wait for someone to get your mower". 1. She never mentioned that and 2. I didn't put my hands on a single piece of equipment. Burkhard, do yourself a favor and get rid of this woman. She either drinks too much or is on drugs. read more
