Recently a young lady shopped at the Alhambra location and used her credit card. That was the only place she used her card only to discover her card was compromised and used at several locations including at Wingstop. When she spoke with the manager about her concerns with the very real possibility of an employee being involved since the employee swiped her card twice the manager told her that there's nothing she could do about it. We all know that simply isn't true. There are security surveillance cameras and there are ways to look back at all transactions on the registers. The unwillingness to help the customer figure out what happened within the store in a fraud investigation is absolutely unacceptable. read more

This branch located on Main st - Alhambra, between S. Garfield ave & S. Monterey st. This plaza has two entrance, one on S.Garfield ave & one on S.Monterey st. The private parking is pretty big and there are plenty of street parking. I love the set up, so it is easy for first timer to visit. First floor is only for accessories and shoes, I believe. The second floor is for clothes for men, women and kids. It was little bit more organized than other Burlington branches. I have to admit, for clothes with brand, the price are pretty good perfect for work clothes in case I damage them. So, I will be a frequent customer for sure. Happy Shopping !!! read more

I have shopped at the Alhambra store on a few occasions. It is a hit or miss for finding the right item. However, for the past few months the customer service from the employees and managers is seriously declining. Each time I mention it, the first response I get is that COVID has changed a lot of things. COVID made the employees give piss poor service. I'm not sure if the CDC mention this on side effects. I experienced another incident today. Even spoke to the manager and requested her name. This store needs an over-hall and more disciple of their employees behavior. I base my reviews on my experience from that last time that I visited- and today, when I arrived right at the opening time at 9:30am, this place was ready to go. I took my toddler upstairs on the escalator, which he loved, and started to go through the boys' clothes section. I found a $3 Clippers shirt. My kid started climbing on their new selection of bar stools and chairs, so I carried him and ran to the house signs section (my favorite part of the store.) I got some frowns from the manager, but my kid was climbing on the chairs. They constantly rotate and have new house signs! I've purchased pallet-looking, rustic, wooden signs for almost every room of the house: bathroom, dining room, hallway, etc. Thanks for the new signs and good selection of wall clocks. I also enjoy looking through the children's shoes, toys, and book section for gifts or hidden treasures. At checkout, the female cashiers that I've encountered have always been friendly. When my kid whined for a Minions fan near the counter, I said no; the cashier was all calm after I paid for my items and I ran out with my kid before his epic meltdown. read more

First of all the people that work there they have a the worst attitude ever I don't know the girls name but it's a girl that had a bun and her color hair was like ginger but idk if she had a bad attitude if she was high because when I came outside she was on her break and she was vaping. Next the security there is like not trying to help us we asked for helped and he ignored us and then we had a bunch of stuff we asked nicely for permission if we can take this little red cart outside really quick and bring it back in and said no. There was this one lady that works she had a white sweater and some jeans and her hair was down and she was very nice respectful caring and we had our cart in the way and we said sorry and she said no worries. I hate coming to this location every time I'm come here there is always clothes on the floor and a lot of clothes thrown on the bars. I am never shopping at this location ever again! I was going to buy a bunch of clothes for myself and this rude old hag comes up to me tells me that I am not allowed to try on the clothes. I saw several other people trying on clothes and she didn't say anything. So I tell her that fitting room are closed. She tells me well your not allowed and we are under staff. Wtf not my problem. I have had the best experiences at Burlington for awhile now. Rosemarie is awesome. She is very professional, she doesn't take anyone's crap and she is always fair. She handles bad situations with a respectable demeanor. I have a couple of times witnessed rude customers and she always keeps her cool. I'm not sure how long she has worked there but I see a fire in this girl she is always busy. The cashiers seem very comfortable with her and she is always helping them. I have so much to say because I shop there very often and she seems to be there all the time which is a good sign. That usually means that they are doing a great job. I seen another review about her and it was just awful! I'm sure "CARLOS" the reviewer got it wrong. This girl is so mature I highly doubt she started a fight and was disrespectful to other employees. He must have been one of the rude customers who likes to give the cashiers trouble. read more

I love bargain hunting, so every now and then I stop by Burlington. I've bought a few items there over the past few years, but the store doesn't wow me. It is better than Ross across the street because it is better organized and has more items that appeal to me. I find TJ Maxx and Marshalls much more appealing. They have more upscale merchandise and more variety. Home Goods has deals on household items. I had never bought from this chain before. I bought three tops back in February which was my first visit ever. I decided to keep 2 and return one. I took it back past the 60-day mark, and I was slapped with their return policy across the face. Even though I had my original receipt, they would only give me store credit. I asked to speak to the store manager and they told me he wouldn't be in until the next day. I then decided to return it for store credit. The cashier does the transaction and tells me that all she can do for me is give me store credit for a PARTIAL amount of what I had paid for the item. She said that is their return policy, the longer a customer waits to return an item, the less the item is valued to them so they take that "loss" from the customer. I had paid $9.99 (plus tax) for the top. All I got back was $7.66. To top it all off, the parking is HORRIBLE! It is located in a very popular shopping center so parking has been crowded both times I have been there. Needless to say, I will not shop there anymore. Been here a few times, it's small but organised. We bought sleepwear, large ice sphere makers, and shoes for holiday gifts. It's been open for less than a year and on my last visit, the escalator to go down wasn't working so we had to use the elevator and it was very slow. The staff were ok, if you need help finding something they are not around though, it seems like only the registers are staffed and hardly anyone is on the floor. They are more than just coats. Actually, they hardly have any coats and I went there to find my mom a coat. Their stock is seasonal and winter will bring you three long rows of coats in the center of the store (upstairs) and spring relegates the left over coats to a hidden section on a single small rack on the side near the baby things. I don't really like their selection of other things and I'm pretty much a shopaholic who will spend money anywhere if I see things I like. I don't spend a lot of money there. During winter, I did buy two coats and was happy with them, because they had a wide variety in all sizes. Now, the "coat factory" part is a joke. They should have more coats. read more

I've had some great finds at this store, particularly in the kitchen section of the store. From cookware to kitchen utensils, I am impressed that this store carries brand names like Le Creuset, as well as almost every utensil by KitchenAid, and for a quarter of the price. Came here to look for some home goods at 6:30 pm and was told I can't shop in the home goods area cause they are doing inventory. Who does inventory in the middle of the day. Apparently Burlington does. This is ridiculous and all they employees are running around like chickens with out heads. I have been coming here for a few years and I have never had a bad experience until yesterday. I was in line following the social distancing stickers on the top floor like we all should. A family behind us was so close to us NOT following the social distancing guidelines stood next to my cart inches away and my of course the guy was not wearing his mask properly and coughing to top it off. I was very uncomfortable standing there waiting my turn. Every time the line moved and I moved to the next sticker the family moved closer to me like if we were together. The store doesn't make social distancing announcements and the cashiers never reminded people in general. I did speak to Genny part of the management team and she assured me they were going to do something about this. I did not want to create a scene myself because you never know how people will react and I understand workers might feel the same but at least make announcements like at the Dollar Tree they play that message over and over. I usually don't shop at Burlington or Ross, usually it's just low quality items and store are always messy, and I don't like to go through racks and racks of things. Unless I'm bored or have a lot of time to kill. (This one is the old Mervyns Location, for those that know the area) This place is new, so it's really nice. Things are organized nicely, rack are nice and neat. The sale rep crystal is very sweet and helpful even though it's close to closing time and they are cleaning up. Would come back for household items :) The upstair staff walked me all the way to the other end of the store finding a pair of fuzzy slipper, all while she's trying to clean up too. For me, this is a fun store. I go to Sprouts (next door) every other week and finally decided to check it out. The hubby has been in a few times and came home with something interesting. Good thing I wasn't in a hurry. Was able to browse at my leisure and went through the clothing racks upstairs. Found a dress and a swing tank at reasonable prices. Wandered about the other household & accessory sections and although tempted, behaved and just bought the clothes. It's very spacious upstairs and was pretty tidy. I've been to other stores similar to this and felt claustrophobic with the tight aisles and messiness. I tend to do my shopping in the early mornings, so parking's never a problem. The lot's pretty big. This will be an occasional stop. It's fun to find gems hidden in the racks! read more

I love Burlington Coat Factory! But I'm giving this store a three rating because they have carts with door stoppers. I recently moved and loaded up two carts with home goods. Note to management: Why not set them to not leave parking lot instead of store. Of course no one tells you about the sensors until you get to the door then they look away as not to make eye contact. Parking lot is ample but you are competing with Bank of America and Sprouts patrons. So my car was at the opposite end of the lot. So my son stood at the door with my cart, while I retrieved my car and blocked cars to load up my trunk. Going back to the Arcadia store. It's another 20 minutes from home but I know I won't have to worry about how many bags I can carry before I hit the register. read more

Visited this store for the 1st time a week ago. I was looking for winter gear for my 10 year old. They did not have any winter gear/coats at all for children. Very scarce inventory for children. It's okay it's nice because it's still new. You can find decent things but it is very deceptive. This is a discount store selling things at barely below MSRP. If a shirt on the "sale" rack is $20.99, it's not a sale! I want DISCOUNTS at a discount store. Place is like a glorified Big Lots for fashion. I come here to buy pieces for costuming as a LAST RESORT I'd also like to note that the jewelry racks are very sad. Pretty horrible experience shopping here in the housewares department. Things are missing & things are out of place. I want to get to dinner sets that have different pricing in the same brand and same model. There were multiple sets in the same brand they were all marked off on clearance. When I checked out and ask about the discrepancy on pricing she,Jane( cashier) said she can't honor it. Had another Associate come and verify the price and she even went back to the houseware to double check pricing on the dinner sets. They all indeed had the clearance price. Sales associate said there was something wrong so that's why the oneI wanted had been marked down. So all the other sets had the same issues? C'mon. So someone must have not been doing their job and didn't mark one off?? There were 5 of 6 sets marked off already.
