I loved this Burlington for the most part. Didn't really care for the service of the workers. The one guy pushing the loading carts around looked like he was going to run over anyone who stepped in the way, and would stare US down as if we were in the wrong. However, the selection of black and gold decor was amazing. I almost bought some of all of it because I couldn't choose! The glass trays were $17, the small/short vases were typically $5-7, and they had varying sizes for the votive candle holders. I still haven't found a soap dispenser. The black and gold one was $8 and there was only one. I want one for lotion and one for soap, but I can't find a toothbrush/paste holder that matches. Ughhh! The struggle read more

I didn't even manage to walk into the store. I was "greeted" by a security guard of some sort. The entrance to the store was roped off. It was like a "Mother May I" situation where I had to be approved to be able to enter the DISCOUNT store. I could understand the security if they carried high end items but this is a DISCOUNT store. So I was on my way to another burlington and was gonna return it but was told they don't take returns on colognes that its their policy. Working on my holiday shopping, so I made the rounds at my favorite stores at the shopping center near Herndon and 99. I have to say that Burlington looked less cramped and crammed full than Marshall's or Ross did. The aisles were wider and it was easier to browse and think about gift giving strategies and ideas without all the clutter. I was looking for some medium sized artificial plants, which they did not have. Lots of other holiday inspired items and decor, though, so I will definitely stop back soon. read more

Yesterday I was depressed and angry right now the only good thing I can say about Ross, Marshalls, and Burlington Coat factory in the new stores on Herndon and I 99. What I have to say is against both the stores and the shoppers!!!! TO SHOPPERS: IF you pull something off the rack, drop it off at the front or the back by the fitting rooms! in all 3 stores yesterday I found both childrens and womens shoes mixed with mens! you want to complain that prices are higher at marshalls and Ross? well its your fault!!! someone has to be hired and paid to re arrange and replace the stuff you are too lazy to put back OR. your Out of controll kids play with and drop anywhere in the store!!! (I SAW IT!!!) TO EMPLOYEES: you see someone who looks lost? offer to help memorize where stuff belongs in the store! you see an item on the floor PICK IT UP! 1 item is a start!g When sizing items, make sre its in proper department! IE: bras dont belong in large Mens pants!!!! MANAGEMENT: once a week close down an hour early (or two) to organize. give employees store organization maps to GET ORGANIZED AND MEMORIZE WHERE STUFF GOES. as an enxample I asked a young girl yesterday where the lage mens clothes were. she lshrugged and said "Idunno" and pointed to shoes. I was very disappointed in this Burlington. It was very disorganized. The shoe area had shoes everywhere. You couldn't even walk down the aisle in the shoe department. It was a tripping hazard for sure, not to mention fire hazard. The rest of the store wasn't much better. The dressing room was really dirty and didn't feel as if the AC was working in that area. When I went to check out there was only 2 cashiers and over 20 people in line. I felt bad for the employees working so hard like that. Management should have stepped up to help out. I have definitely been to way better Burlington's. This one needs a good cleaning/organization and some new management. read more

This trendy store is newer in the North West Fresno on Riverside Drive . We went here to get some clothes for my nephew who is almost 1 years old. First we went to a different children's boutique in Fresno and they did not have much selection at all. Then we decided to go to Burlington because we knew they had a really good selection of children's clothes for a good price. They did not let us down we went there we got several outfits pajamas shorts and little suit shoes and socks. And I'm confident that we got a really great deal. I also want to mention that the woman at the cash register a middle-aged African-American lady Bridget she was definitely more than nice she seem to really enjoy her job. This store is A little more organized than other stores of its kind. Rest rooms were very clean.Overall I will be shopping there again definitely a great experience. read more

I'm disappointed, not just in this location, but, the company as a whole. There used to be a wide range of product's. I was especially drawn to the wide selection of men's dress shirts as I could always find my size. Not anymore. Now, I completely understand that store's are experiencing stock shortages. I get that. I understand that. Hoping I can change my review later. On my last visit I found the store to be a cluttered and disorganized mess. How can anyone find anything here. The helpfulness of the staff. Out of the three discount retailers at Marketplace at El Paseo (Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Marshalls), this store was the only store where I found items I liked and bought. Not sure if it's just because it's December, but the store was packed with merchandise. The clothing racks are extremely close together, you can only go single-file down an aisle (how is this compliant / legal with ADA law?). It's odd they pack so much merchandise into the store, but 25% of the floor space is blocked off by fixtures (why not open the entire store so there is a little more space to breathe and shop?). People would probably spend more money if it wasn't so tight... Anyway, like I said, this was the only store I found multiple items to buy. I would normally give this place at least four stars, a five if they have my size, but what I I saw yesterday pissed me off. IAt the cash register this young white girl was helping two black customers when the phone rang. Instead of wanswering the phone and putting the caller on hold while she finished helping her customers, she stayed on the phone answering sizing questions for the entire transaction, while ringing up the two ladies. Other than scanning their items, she paid no real attention to her customers in front of her. Those customers were spending money NOW and deserved the cashiers full attention. If the customer on the phone really wants to know about sizes in a store like Burlinton Factory, they need to be in the store. When I was next up at the register I tried to give the girl some customer service advice and her answer was, "Our manager wants us to answer the phone no matter what." Of course she does but common sense is you put the phone customer and finish helping the one in front of you. But then again with this generation, common sense is not common. read more

I love this Burlington! It's a little far from me but it's worth the drive because I always find great deals on baby clothes, shoes and home decor! As far as these types of stores go, I have to say that this is by far my favorite. You can go to ross, tj maxx, or marshalls and they are all fine stores, but Burlington has the selection and the prices to beat them all. The vast quantity of selection that is at this store is amazing. I can always walk in and find the clothing I am looking for no matter what the occasion. They have all your seasonal clothing in every size and discount the previous seasons clothing to low low prices. They also have home decor, kitchen items, toys, and much more. When I need a new pair of whatever I always head over here and find exactly what I need and for a great price. read more

The place barely opened a month ago so it still looks somewhat clean and organized. If you compare it to the branch on Blackstone though, it looks...well, how a Burlington is supposed to look: Properly lighted, smiling employees (even if they're fake smiles), clothes actually on the clothes rack, and for the most part, appears to be a safe place to shop. However, some of us may prefer the "ghetto" Burlington for a variety of reasons. First, it's relatively accessible and closer to most people. This one is located in NW Fresno in the Marketplace at El Paseo plaza; it's near the newer subdivisions. You would have to take 99N then exit on Herndon or go drive on Herndon for 15-20 minutes straight. This branch in particular is also a tad bit more expensive by a buck or two. I don't know why, but that's what I noticed while shopping for some dress shirts and slacks in the men's section. As for what you can buy, this newer branch lacks the second floor that the Blackstone branch has. Thus, I would assume that there is a larger selection on Blackstone. It's still a large store nonetheless. There is a huge parking lot that has yet to be filled to capacity, so I doubt it would be difficult for others to find a spot. There's a Tillys, Target, Ulta, McDonalds, and some other stores that are already open for business; new places to eat and shop are still being planned or are under construction. read more

This store is pretty big, was organized but had a lot of empty shelves and racks. Isn't as big as other burlington stores I've been to. Was looking for a purse n wallet but they didnt have much of any wallets, but their prices for brand name bags are awesome. Got a 100.00 bag for only 35.00, holds everything i need and extra. Usually have a good experience in the store , staff is relatively nice and helpful . Last night I had a bad experience with one of the cashiers Yvonne . Yvonne had a bad attitude from the moment I approached the register when I asked her to price check some items she seemed annoyed, with every question I had she had some belittling remark to make back. When I acknowledged her bad attitude she began to argue with me. I haven't seen her before so I'm not sure if she's new but I'm extremely disappointed in the how Burlington allows their employees to talk to their customers that way. Came here once, about 2 weeks after they first opened. It was pretty pricy, compared to other stores selling similar things. I passed by an employee talking to his manager, lots of cuss words were said by both of them (they weren't directing them towards each other, just talking about whatever, their days, etc.). Tacky! The purse (leather) was a great buy retail price $129.00 & I paid $59.00. Just before New Years we ordered some suit shirts on line that didn't fit. We brought them into the store the next day with the shipping receipt that came in the package. We only wanted to exchange the shirts for a size that fit and ended up finding more items to purchase. The cashier wouldn't help us. She was rude and said that was the wrong receipt, even though it was what came in the package. When I tried to show her the confirmation emails I got, which none of them had a bar code she was looking for, she was completely handicapped. She wanted my credit card but I paid for the order with pay pal. She said we would have to call their customer service, get something with a bar code or mail back the items and pay for shipping ourselves. This was a huge inconvenience because we were going out of town that day to celebrate New Years, it was December 30, and needed the right suit shirts. I asked to talk to a manager and she said that she was manager which there was nothing she could do to help us. I didn't believe that. This didn't make any sense that I'm supplying her everything received and we can't at least get store credit to get the right size and give Burlington more business with more items. Luckily I was disagreeing enough that a true manager happened to be walking by and interrupted. She ended up taking over, calling their customer service, getting the code that she needed for the order return and easily exchanged everything. The cashier was so angry she stormed off and said that she was taking her break. She was gone at least 25 mins that we were still in the store. The manager explained that technically she's not a manager, she's a key carrier and just became a key carrier recently. When we left the store she was standing out front smoking a cigarette and as she saw us leaving she went back into the store. I'll never go back to Burlington because of this. This review is specifically for their customer service and manager Sandra. I had purchased maternity clothes online and when I received them, they did not fit right and we tried to return them to the location on Blackstone since we were close by the location after our Dr's appointment. At Blacksone, the customer service was pretty bad in the sense that, the cashier kept insisting that they have to go by the online order date and it was already 31 days past the online order date. I tried reasoning with her that she couldn't go by the online order date but by the delivery date of 2/1, I even showed her the delivery confirmation email, but she insisted that store policy (30 days from store purchase) goes by the online order date. After calling cooperate and stating my case, it was forwarded to Sandra's location thank God!. Sandra was awesome and sympathetic from the get go and she took care of the whole issue right away along with her cashiers (Bridgett- was super awesome and funny!) and I was refunded my money.
