After a successful visit to another Five Below, we came to check out this store, and I found it to be even better. I know some will think this store is just a mess but I would say it's organized chaos haha. The store is just packed with stuff. We found a birthday gift for the woman who has everything (at-home spa items that she loved) and a kitty bed that our cats love. I have to mention the cashiers who kept everything moving at the line. There are card-only and cash enabled registers and they direct customers as registers open up. There was a manager-looking person at the end. I would give this store ZERO STARS if I could. On my friend's birthday we decided to purchase fun shirts, at the register there was no paper in the register so there was no way to prove you purchased an item. Before we even left the parking lot the birthday girl wanted to switch out her shirt for another, since they were all the same price. But the store REFUSED, since there was no reciept. They didn't even want to do a refund, even though it was THEIR fault we couldn't proof purchase. So we had to pay for a SECOND SHIRT. I recently stopped by this Five Below location in search of freeze dried ice cream, and found it. Just for a little background context, my sister is really heavy into TikTok (SteelMaceSkaterChick) where, apparently, freeze dried candy and ice cream have been major trends this year. (I sincerely would not know, so I take her word for it.) I swear she's brought it up every single day for the past six months. I knew I wouldn't like it, but I had to "try it" to prove it. Enter Five Below, Fresno. This Five Below is located in the Marketplace at River Park, which is a huge shopping center with lots of big box stores and smaller stores alike. The first thing I noticed about the store is that is was clean, brightly lit, and well-organized. Even though the recovery left a bit to be desired, it still looked pretty good overall. I was easily able to find the candy section, because it's like, a quarter of the store. Inside of the candy section, I found an entire endcap of freeze dried candies and ice cream sandwiches. Unfortunately, the only flavor of ice cream sandwich they had was strawberry shortcake. I don't like these frozen, so I didn't have a good feeling about the freeze dried version. But, like I said, I had to try it, so I could tell my sister that I did. The cashier was helpful. She supervised me while I (and later another guest) used the self checkout, which I found to be simple and self-explanatory. Even though she didn't really have to help me, she was still nice, greeted me, told me to have a nice day, etc. Although I didn't care for the taste and texture of the product I purchased, that's not Five Below's fault-- it just wasn't my thing. "I should have told you, I only like the candy from Five Below. I like the ice cream sandwiches from the camping section at Wal-Mart." "Aren't those like, ten dollars each?" My family's favorite store for inexpensive stuff we don't need. We've bought games and snacks here for gift baskets for birthdays and Christmas presents. Mostly everything is under $5.00 and they have a back wall that has stuff for under $10.00. We found some board games and coloring books that were pretty cool. During the summer we stocked up on floats for the pool. And they have lots of school supplies for when school starts We like picking out candy from the big area of candies and snacks. They have big selections of candies. (Good for the movies if you don't want to pay a ton and you are sneak We found some really cute small decor for the house and for our desk for work too. Staff are pretty friendly. We always get greeted when we walk in and they always say thank you when we check out. The store is pretty clean and almost well stocked. read more

So I've only been in this store twice now and I can say it's a good little spot. Not a huge store but has a lot going on. It's definitely a step up from like a dollar store or like the dollar day section at the from of target . They do have bigger items that can be great for birthday gifts and more. This was definitely a great spot for my girls to go find Christmas gifts for each other and certain family members when they only had so much to spend . I went in to check it out! I really like this store. Pretty good deals and a lot of different and good stuff! =) Masks worn by workers and required. Great music playing! Definitely adds to the atmosphere in a great way! Workers are kind and happy to help! It's very clean and safe! I got antibacterial soap. They have a lot! Inexpensive too! I love that there is so much different stuff to check out! They also have candies and a bunch of different foods. I ended up grabbing a watermelon sucker too. At checkout it's all about self checkout here. You get to do it and it's very easy with a card. Their bags are free. I checked out and worker wished me a good day! Appreciated! My daughter wanted to come here because she heard they had fidget toys. I had never been here and to be honest I had no intention because I would rather spend more money on stuff that will last than "cheapy" discount items. I was super surprised by how well laid out and clean the store was! Everything is displayed neatly with a little effort than a department store. They had a great assortment of inventory, a lot of the specialty candy that my daughter likes. For example she loves Pockys and they had more flavors than I've seen compared to actual grocery stores. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're into arts/crafts/home decor. This place had a ton of Tik Tok trendy decor for very cheap(yes $5 or less) which is great for a kids room because the items will last as long as your kids attention span does. So the price vs quality ratio is perfect in that regard. Lots of cool little things to look at, definitely better than the dollar store or even Target dollar spot when you need to stock up on a lot of little things. The woman working was nice and helpful without being a helicopter. The checkout set up is a little different than usual retail registers, it was definitely a surprising first impression of a new chain store. Well I waited outside at five below for 30 minutes for them to open the doors because I wanted to buy a new basketball a great price, and they are out of basketballs. It must be because they have a wide array of quality household items at a great rate. I was able to buy a wireless mouse and a AirPod cleaning kit. But they also had other great stuff like Bluetooth headsets earphones and headphones. Overall it was a great experience and I highly recommend you guys check out the place. Love all the staff they are really nice and friendly everytime we go. All the items are great and some items are above $5 but it's usually worth it. Unfortunately yesterday I witnessed a customer being very rude and actually throwing her items at the employee as she was trying to help her since the customer was being difficult kept wanting items taken off and was going on about calling to complain about the employee. She even had a little girl with her and was cussing at the employee in front of the little girl. Sad that people treat customer service workers this way simply because they can. Shopping in this Five Below and i was only in there for less than 10 minutes and the manager comes out and accuses me of stealing. I was looking at the electronics cus these ladies were in the pet department and i wanted to look there but didnt wanna be in there way. (I like to shop when no one is around me) lol. So the manager busts out the back room next to where i was and comes directly to me and asks "hello how are you are you finding everything ok?" I respond "yeah i am thank you very much" and smiled right? The ladies leave and i go over to the pet aisle. Im looking at dog barriers for my car and i picked one up all the others fell so i took it upon myself to fix all of them. (The old walmart stocker in me) This is probably where he thought i was "cutting open" boxes because i had my keys in my hand. (My mistake) 1 minute later the manager busts out the backroom again and comes directly to me again and he goes "could you do me a favor?" i say "yeah for sure" he goes "dont open my boxes" before i could even get a word out he says "i caught you on camera dont try to deny it" and he turns away from me and walks away. Im literally shocked all i could say was "what did i cut open the boxes with?" He said "i dont know whatever was on your keys." He then gets a box that he assumed i opened and brings it to one of the girl employees. She says "do you want me to call security?" So i put down the dog toys i was gonna buy and recorded myself leaving in case they said anything else and i left. First of all i went in that store with pure intentions of buying stuff. Second, dont accuse me and come at me crazy. You're the manager of a store, do better. Third, i could definitley tell he was discriminating. He was mexican just like me. He heard me talk prior to accusing me. So he knew im a girl. I just dont get why he felt the need to come out and harrass me like that. I was the only one in the store too. Horrible customer service!! I accidentally left an item behind. As soon as I noticed, I called, told them where I checked out, told them I had the receipt and that I would come back in. I spoke with a very young lady who said she was the only one in the store the entire day and she saw nothing left behind. She told me I could speak to the manager. She put me on hold then came back on the line and said they would do nothing. First she lied about being alone then proceeded to be deceptive about a manager. I can draw several conclusions--all of them don't reflect well on the store. I'll take my business elsewhere. I hope you do to. read more
