I have gotten dinner takeout a number of times and haven't been let down. I tend to try different Chinese restaurants in the Burlington center area just to compared. Consistently I have noticed that Burlington Jade gives bigger portions and is slightly less expensive than say the nearby competitor(s). We stick with the beef and broccoli and pork and veggies. I'm staying at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Burlington, have no car, and it's freezing outside! I knew I was going to have to rely on delivery for dinner and hoped that Yelp would not let me down. Thanks Yelpers, for recommending a great place! I found their menu at http://www.allmenus.com/ma/burlington/49249-burlington-jade/menu// and decided to get the Scallion Pancake, Peking Ravioli, Crab Rangoon, and the Seafood with either the Ho Foon or the pan fried noodles. I know it's a lot but I figure I can have the leftovers tomorrow. The nice man who answered the phone confirmed that they delivered to the Hyatt and was very helpful in helping me decide which noodle to go with (I ended up choosing the Ho Foon). He took my credit card number and said the food would be delivered in about 40 minutes. Food arrived exactly when promised, and I received service with a smile. On top of that, the food was delicious! I had the regular order of Crab Rangoon, which has 16 pieces in it. 16 pieces for about $6! It had a tiny hint of imitation crab mixed in with the cream cheese in addition to either chopped scallions or chopped green onions. I liked these but could not eat all 16! As for the Seafood with Ho Foon noodles, and being from California, I have never been able to order a seafood dish for less than $10. This was really good. The Ho Foon noodles are flat rice noodles, like chow fun noodles, but these appeared to be much wider than regular chow fun noodles. I will say that the Peking Ravioli was my least favorite. The dough was thick, which I don't mind, but the filling wasn't spectacular. Compared to the rest of the food I ordered, the Peking Ravioli was quite average. I don't think I've ever had a scallion pancake before, and I really enjoyed it! It's not anything fancy, but once I started eating it, I couldn't stop! It was a great meal for under $30. Chinese is my thing. I can't get enough of it and while i think the food was actual pretty good the reason I'm giving it 3 and not 5 stars is a few things. First the prices and a little to high for a luncheon specials compared to others around them. Cost me 10 bucks and that's a little steep. Second when you got to choose a appetizer the goods ones only come with (1) I love beef teriyaki and chicken teriyaki and you only get (1) with the meal... I've actually never seen that before, you always get atleast 2 everywhere I've been. I ended up getting the lobster sauce meal and with pork strips and the Burlington jade chicken which was really good. A friend recommended the hot and sour soup here. She was raving about it all day! When I said, "I'll try it when I'm in the area." She drove me there. Usually when a person hype something up, the result is just 'meh'. However, she was right. The soup was good. It was well balanced, not only between the hot and sour, but also between the soup and it's ingredients. The setup, however, wasn't very userfriendly. This was my first time there and I was a bit confused to what to try the next time I go. Instead of a centralized menu at the top of the counter or the wall, pieces of paper are taped to different sections of the walls, telling me what their specials were. Look to the wall on the left of the counter, you see a sign for honey glazed chicken. Then to the upper left, there was something else. And to the right top of the count, another sign. I just felt it wasn't organized enough to allow someone who haven't been there before to easliy navigate through the menu. I always try a place twice, unless the place was so bad, there's no reason to come back. I will come back here again and update this review to include more foods. UPDATE: I came here after class and took a look at their menu, and noticed no pepper steak on rice as a dinner special. Thought it was kinda odd since every chinese take out has it. I asked them if they can make it and without hesitation, he made me the plate. It was really good. I had no complaints. Everything in that plate retained their flavor. I've had other places where you can't taste the difference between the green peppers and the onions. So far "I'm a fan" and has upgraded them from 3 stars to 4 stars. read more

Oh my gosh... we lived in Burlington a couple years ago, only to have moved back again, and that whole year plus that we were here before, we never tried Burlington Jade. I have no idea why, but thank God we tried them this time!! This is really great Chinese takeout food. It's not as greasy as some of the other places I've tried, and I was surprised at how fresh and delicious everything was! The boneless spare ribs are AMAZING. The crab rangoons are also really tasty and actually have a hint of crab flavoring in them as opposed to straight up cream cheese. Everything I've gotten there (though I do order the same one or two things most of the time) has tasted super fresh and the vegetables are cooked to perfection. The only issue I've ever had was that the beef and broccoli and chicken and broccoli are the same number on the menu. So when you order, be sure you specify which one. Twice I've ordered beef with broccoli and specified beef but ended up with chicken. So it's always good to double check. But the chicken is good too! : ) read more

So I will admit I had Burlington Jade on one of my benders, and perhaps my advise isn't coming from a clear state of mind. But I don't really care. I remember taking a bite into that spare rib and saying "wuhhhhbreh this is actually really gewd!" I went with the pu squared platter. I've had delivery from Burlington Jade on multiple occasions and decided to actually stop in a fulfill my Chinese craving last night for take out. We ordered mostly appetizers, but they do have an extensive menu to choose from. They took my order quickly and had it ready to go in less than 10 minutes. Hands down- they have the best chicken fingers I have ever had! I found their portions to be above average and their prices very reasonable. Their menu is enormous/overwhelming and offered everything you could think of- Schezuan, Thai, Chinese, fusion... There is no place to sit and eat so they are purely a take out/deliery operation. I was surprised at how clean their kitchen is and liked being able to see my food prepared in the back. They must have developed a reputation for folks eating in their cars as I saw a sign from the Burlington Health Department outside they car that "prohibits food from being consumed on premises or in the parking lot". Most importantly, the chef really gets the perfect proportion of sour, spicy and salty taste and consistency. One of very few places that can get it so perfectly! Definitely worth a try. Regrettably, rest are just so-so. The dishes taste fairly good, but not anywhere close to being authentic. We have ordered twice and both times the food is sub par. ZERO flavor in any of the dishes. No spice at all even in the ones that are supposed to have it. Just your average chinese food restaurant, really nothing special. The food is decent, if you like your sesame chicken only 1% chicken and 99% flour coating, stop by at the burlington jade. I was going to give this place a positive review until the driver demanded a tip and stopped the door as I was closing it. "No tip, no tip? *pouty face*" is what I got from the driver because I couldn't afford a decent tip even though he still got one. I live in Arlington but my cousins live in Billerica and suggested this place to us. It has now been added to my go to places. We ordered a couple luncheon plates and then a noodle dish and some appetizers. The luncheon plates were enormous. Well worth the money spent, it could have easily fed at least 2 people. Pork fried rice, sesame chicken, lobster sauce, crab rangoons, chicken wings etc all were very tasty. Very worth the price and delicious. In addition, all the food was well packed for take out, which is always a plus. Items ordered that had potential of leaking was carefully wrapped in plastic bags which saves you the trouble of opening a bag full of food where sauce dripped on everything. Nice touch. The only reason why this place is not getting 5 stars is just that a few things were a tad greasy then I would have liked but overall I will definitely be ordering from this place again. Tonight wasn't my first time having the jade for dinner, but it's certainly my last. I've never considered it the best Chinese food around, but tonight was especially horrible. My crab ragoons were barely filled, mostly pastry. My first bite of beef teriyaki was so chewy and rare, I immediately threw them all away. And to top it all off, I ordered chicken lo mien no vegetables. I went for the first time last week and the food is really good. I mean, seriously good. It is the best chicken fingers and beef teriyaki I ever had and I have lived in several states and tried a lot of Chinese food. I have also tried other Chinese restaurants in this area, within a 10 mile radius, and I didn't like any of them. I wonder what their secret is. I kept looking at the chicken fingers wondering how they make them taste so good. I also absolutely love their vegetable fried rice. It is so fresh - you can smell the steamed veggies as soon as you open the container - peas, red peppers, and even zucchini. Yum. I don't usually like egg rolls but these were good too - very flavorful. And the ribs were great. Everything was so good, I went back last night and got enough for a few meals. This is becoming an addiction already. They are always super nice too - on the phone and in person. And yes, the portions are big. This place scores an A+ for me.
