This is my first time shopping here in a long long time. The line moves super super slow. They have two people at the registers and they take so long to ring people up. They work like slugs here. They need to open up more cash registers. I've been in line so long that I was able to write this review thirty minutes into waiting in line. I will never ever shop at this store again. To spend one hour in line to save a few dollars is not worth it. This store is absolutely horrible. Do not come here! You've been warned. I will keep writing until they ring me up. I might end up writing a ten page thesis statement cause that's how long it's taking. I could literally find a cure to cancer with the amount of time I've been waiting. I'm waiting so long and feel so warm and uncomfortable it's not even funny. The store is the worse experience I have had in my life. Please stay far far away from this store. It seems like Burlington Coat Factory dropped the words Coat Factory from their name. Every now and then, I would find something really great at Burlington such as a nice jacket or a nice shirt. I do like the selection at the Great Mall better than Westgate Center. However, the checkout line takes so long which I don't understand why it takes so long even though they have so many cashiers. In addition, they don't have mirrors in the store so you can't try on simple jacket. Sometimes I get lucky and find a mirror in the housewares section. Overall the place is organized in terms of sizes but it's hard to find things when a lot of it can be disorganized. Despite the long wait to purchase and terrible customer service I always return back to this location because the bathroom accessibility. Now that they've done away with customer bathrooms I no longer have a desire to drive out of my way to this location. I hate that I am in the middle of shopping and nature calls, instead of just pushing your cart off to the side to use the bathroom now I have to leave my cart and risk having my items place back in stock to use the mall bathroom. On top of that, the mall bathroom takes you about 2 mins to get to, whereas using the store bathroom is just a few footsteps away. The employees are unwilling to allow you to use the bathroom "because they'll lose their job" which I highly doubt is true. If this is a tactic Burlington is using to scare their employees, shame on you! read more

Apparently the fitting rooms are only open on Saturdays. But they won't tell you that up front. After you've spent time picking out clothes to try on, they have a security guard stationed in front of the fitting rooms who tells you that you can't use them. Don't waste your time here. read more

STORE: At the great mall near Marshalls. Entrances to the parking lot and through the inside of the mall. This store isn't glamorous it is like a big warehouse but I like it. I see a lot of stuff I would wear even if it isn't or is brand name. Lots of clearance items and in general items are marked down. They organize by category with signs hanging from the ceiling and signs above racks. JEWELRY: A big jewelry section well organized by color such as a side for gold, side for silver, side for coral, side for turquoise, and end caps with clearance jewelry. I got a long silver necklace with glass beads for $7.99 that I've seen elsewhere for more like $20+. BELTS: Got a couple men's belts size 32 one was Perry Ellis for $10.99 and the other was $12.99. Original prices were around $30. CHECKOUT: easy to know where to checkout and get in line. Audio tells you what numbered cashier to go to and even on a Wed night there was enough staff we weren't in line for too long and checkout process went fast. read more

If you're looking for some clothes on the cheap, then this place is just for you. You might even find something really worth it that you really want from somewhere else, but you don't want to plunk down a lot of money. The problem is, actually finding something. This place looks like an Elephant walked through it. Clothes all over the floor and everything is mixed matched. I thought I found exactly what I was looking for, but it was in the wrong size and should have been somewhere else. However, they do have a pretty cool check out line where a booming voice tells you to go to a numbered register. I thought that was pretty cool. The people who keep bashing on this place because of its service and inability to stay organized really have no idea what they're talking about. This is THE GREAT MALL. There's no such thing as customer service. 90% of the stores in this mall are outlets filled with angry Asians thinking they're they own the world because they're "better" than anybody who works retail. Aside from that rant, when I was a kid, I was annoyed whenever I was here. I didn't like clothes, I didn't like antiques... just about everything here was something I hated. Not to mention the fact that it was extremely unorganized. But now that I'm older and have found a new appreciation for clothes, especially formal clothes, this has been a frequent spot for me. Then again, I am a bit heavier than most people, so the sizes I find here are a blessing for me. The Burlington Coat Factory, aside from coats, has a good selection of dress shirts, slacks, and more importantly--vests and ties. All the proms, formals, cotillions and other gatherings I've attended include an item or two that I've bought at this place. I own two tuxedos because of the Burlington Coat Factory, and I must've spent like $50 total. Savings galore. That is all. read more

You never know what you're going to find at this store. Sometimes you score some pretty cool deals, other times they really don't have much. WORST BURLINGTON EVER!! Went to return a few items and didn't have the receipt as it was a birthday gift. They gave me a hard time and kept asking for a receipt even though I told them clearly many times that I don't have the receipt because it was a birthday gift . They told me that their manager at that location wants all returns to have a receipt and they don't do non receipt returns even though it clearly states on the burlington website and on a sticker on every register that they return items with no receipt for store credit. I asked for a manger and she told me the same thing that they don't do returns without a receipt so I told her that the return policy on the website says you can do non receipt returns and even pointed to it on the sticker on the register and she still said that doesn't matter they don't do non receipt returns at there location. Finally the. Manger just said I will do it this once but next time you need a receipt. WORST BURLINGTON EVER!!! DONT BOTHER GIVING THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!!! read more

This Burlington is humongous! Selection is very good with great prices. This store is not particularly messy or tidy compared to others ... but given its massive size, they're doing quite a good job considering. The Good: - Good selection for all @ your household... men, women, children, gift and seasonal - Prices seem to be slightly lower than other Bay Area Burlington's The Mediocre: - No service and don't expect any. Store clerks are no where to be found with staffing shortage @ cashier and dressing room. When you see a staff, they are super busy organizing the racks and rehanging clothes. - The staff are, however, very friendly when you do get a chance to interact with them or when you pay at cashier. I appreciate that. The Not So Good: - No mirrors. I didn't see one mirror in aisle. I came browsing in this store when I dropped-off my son at the Great Mall. He wanted to go shopping for a birthday present for a friend and I wanted to go walking at the mall - the mall is circular and it is great for walking! We both got to do something at the same time. Since this is still winter, I wanted to see what types of coats they carry at a "Coat Factory". I have not been into this store in a long time; therefore, curiosity got to me! This store is just like other discount clothing stores carrying past season items, but it is larger compared to the other ones! I went into the store and found it was full of different clothing items on a fairly spacious sales floor but I did not like the lighting in the store. It seemed to dark in the store. When I got to the coats, I found the several racks of coats sorted by different types: poly filled, down, wool, leather, canvas, ski, etc. They did have a large assortment and the prices were O. K. After looking through the racks, I really could not find anything which interested me. While shopping at the store, I did not notice any salespeople on the floor. It must be self-serve at this store! I would have put ZERO but I can't. So here we go. I came here today looking for baby spoons for my daughter. I thought it was an incredibly amazing find when I picked up a $2.99 6 pack of Gerber baby food spoons. At the register I was unpleasantly charged $7 something including tax. When I mentioned this to the cashier she told me maybe someone just put the spoons in the wrong spot. I then told her that it wasn't just that pack it was ALL of them under the $2.99 price. So she told me she would get her manager for a price check. Her phone rang by her manager informing her that the price was correct as it ring up. So why am I pissed off? Instead of honoring the retail rule that if ALL of the SAME products are put on the shelf with the wrong price be by accident or on purpose they should honor that price. Instead I was given a big old tough s**t. In the end I left empty handed and in the future you can guarantee Burlington is never getting a penny out of me again. read more

Going to Burlington Coat Factory is like going to an estate sale of either a really rich person or a hustler who managed to lift a LOT of brand names. I can't hate on that. And asking a simple question like "do you know if I can find any leather gloves," took 5 people to answer and for them to send me in opposite directions of the store. And this whole time I thought they only sold coats... Boy, was I wrong!!!!!! Within the past several of years, never once had I stopped to visit Burlington Coat Factory while shopping at the Great Mall. Mainly, because it just looked "too much", was never intrigued by it, and I was never really in the mood to buy a coat from this warehouse anyways.... Anyhoots, shortly after I moved into my apartment, I was in need of some home decor at reasonable and inexpensive prices. Pottery Barn and Bombay didn't fit into my budget. My bf recommended me Burlington Coat Factory... I was like.. "Whhhaaaa??? Really??!?! What do you want me to buy??? A whole bunch of coat racks for my family room?!?!" But as soon as I stepped foot into that store, it was like heaven on earth...I was flabbergasted. It was overwhelming... It was exciting!!!! All of these wall decorations.. BIG wall decorations for cheap!!! And, they were in good condition! At other places, they'd be selling them at at least $100 a pop. Not only were there outstanding wall decorations, but other home decor as well: candles, candle holders, pretty vases, picture frames... Oh, the list goes on and on.... Ultimately, this is a great place if you wanna get a good bargain on fine home decor. Cause if you haven't ever shopped for home decor, it's pretty darn expensive and will burn a hole in your wallet. This is just one of those stores I just walk in and want to walk right back out. It looks like a tornado hit it! But being that I'm in need of some jackets for winter, I thought I'd give it a try. It's hard, let me tell you. I spent a good 5 minutes looking for the women's coat section in the first place. Then another 10 looking through the coats and then giving up. But right before I left, I walked past the shoe dept. and these gorgeous boots were calling my name. And the only reason I actually clearly saw them is because their shoes are clearly on display on the shelves. They had only 1 more of my size so I swopped these Steve Maddens for $79, which was discounted from $100, but I still thought they were pricey, but I liked them so much, I had to have them and I'm not an impulsive shopper at all. I like to think and dwell before I buy but since they only had one left in my size and since I was afraid another tornado would hit and my shoes would be lost forever, I just bought them and figure I'll decide at home if I want to keep them. Tried them on at home and the are super comfy! So I got lucky finding a pretty good deal at Burlington. Kind of bummed I didn't find the coat I was looking for; I mean, it IS Burlington COAT Factory... It's like going to Cheesecake Factory and not finding a cheesecake you don't like. Anyway, I'll go if I really am in the mood to shuffle through the madness, but I'd probably not want to deal with the headaches.
