Ever since my last review, I have been here few times and the service seems to improved at the bar. Bartenders were very attentive and food comes out very fast. Ambiance was also great. I m reconsidering coming back here regularly.

First time here, came for a girls day. Our waitress Sarah was amazing. Gave me some great picks for being my first time.I got the 3 course meal for two with tri tip, pull pork, ribs with mash potatoes and corn with side salads. A sampler platter and kids chicken nuggets. Drinks were jack and the giant peach, and watermelon margaritas. The inside was so beautiful, very clean.

The food is good here. It's probably my favorite bbq spot right now, they got some great pulled pork bbq burgers and a great bbq cheeseburger that taste so well. They offer some complimentary BBQ salsas at each table that complement any of your dishes really well. They got regular BBQ, spicy BBQ, and a hot Memphis option. Put a little bit on any dish, and it makes the dish 25x better. They have a great kids menu as well; they have multiple options from burgers to nuggets to pizza to mac and cheese, plus they can order a sundae for just 2 dollars. They really excel at drinks here; they've got some house-made refreshers that go well with your food, or you can just grab a classic good old draft beer. I got myself the BBQ burger and mixed it with some regular BBQ sauce and spicy sauce, and it was a 10/10 burger; I had to devour it all. You can buy the sauces to go; they are only 5 bucks. Customer service is top-notch, and overall the place is just really good. I love this place!

First off... Danny is the epitome of a hard worker. Made an agreement that we'd always ask for him to be our waiter. Got the hookups with my double beef rib combo. After an immediate fist bump when I put in my order. Where the atmosphere lacked, Danny's attentiveness and overall friendliness made the night memorable! Give the young man a raise!

Worst meal I have ever had

We used a Christmas gift card (thanks to whoever gave it!) to try Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ, hoping for a solid meal. The restaurant was surprisingly empty when we arrived, which should have been a red flag. We ordered the 2-meat, 2-side combo, brisket (with the $1.50 upcharge) and pulled chicken, plus street corn ($1.99 upcharge) and garlic mashed potatoes. The food arrived looking dismal right away. The brisket came in just three tiny, sad slices overcooked to the texture of tough beef jerky, hard, chewy, stringy, and completely lacking any tenderness or smoke flavor. The pulled chicken was even worse, clearly strips pulled from pre-cooked drumsticks, drowning in an overwhelmingly sweet, sauce that masked any real taste. The sides were a total disappointment too. The street corn had faint grill marks but was rock-hard, dry, flavorless, and completely devoid of butter or seasoning. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came straight from a box bland, powdery, and forgettable. Service was practically nonexistent, slow, inattentive, and zero check-ins. But honestly, even bad service couldn't compete with how terrible the food was.I've had better BBQ from chain fast-food places. This was hands-down the worst meal I've ever paid for! I have no idea how this location stays in business. If you value your money (or your taste buds), go literally anywhere else.

    50% fat brisket - don't recommend
    Ania D.

My first time here. We ordered pick two with tri tip and extra brisket. Tri tip was a-ok, nothing to write home about. Brisket was dissatisfying- I don't recommend it. It was dry and flavorless, AND at the same time it was super fatty. On the top, you can see all the fat we cut off. At the bottom, 50% of the brisket is just fat. When we asked if we can exchange uneaten pieces, we were told "No."

At least we were surrounded by love.

After my first review I decided I would reach to the restaurant because the whole experience just did not sit right with me. A few weeks went by and I randomly received a call from Joey the manager. And he just wanted an update on what I wrote and as I was explaining what happened he confessed he did see the host make that nasty face and say those rude comments when we asked about our table. He continued to insure me that he did pull her away and speak to her right there and then. And he did let me know he did remember me. As I'm explaining our experience with the waitress amber he admitted that he can totally picture her saying and doing the things I explained. Which if she has had this attitude or similar complaints before why is she still there? But that's neither here nor there. Oh well!!! He continued to apologize and let me know that it was completely unacceptable which I agreed he invited me back to be able to redeem themselves. This past Wednesday we went back because my nephew was obsessed with their food. And that's what he requested as his graduation meal. So we went. With a large party there was 15 of us. Let me just say what a different vibe. When I got there we checked in the gentleman said okay I'll get your table ready and we waited maybe 5 minutes! We sat down and Daniel comes over, huge smile on his face so friendly he was great! Our whole experience was amazing! He was attentive friendly communicated was on point he was fast with everything very informative on the menu!!!! 100 stars for Daniel! We get done eating and as we're headed out they have like a little gift shop type thing and they had a tote bag I had seen previous that says "I'm here for the biscuits" which I loved I went and asked if I can get some help and apparently it wasn't for sale the gentleman went out of his way to talk to the manager on duty BLAIRE and between the both of them they went above and beyond to figure how to sale me the bag and even went back to grab me more biscuits this is exactly the type of experience I've always had there and seems like they just had a bad day that specific day!!! But thank you LUCILLES in general for giving us a great experience this time around!

I like this place and frequent it often. However, I had a couple of issues with the food and then the order itself, lately. Nothing major but just really inconvenient when you're hungry. Although, I must say, the customer service was stellar! The manager, Joey, made a few efforts to rectify the problem and show that my complete satisfaction was his priority. Mission accomplished! They got it right and I ended up with very tasty and tender baby back ribs, crispy fried chicken tender appetizers (they should season them more), good potato salad and bbq beans, a refreshing strawberry lemonade and fluffy biscuits (the sugar on top isn't necessary for those who want savory). Way to go to keep your customers happy and returning!

OK first let me preface my review by saying we have not been here in quite a long time because we were not enamored with this restaurant in our previous visits. We met some friends here tonight. I attempted to order the fresh pan blackened catfish because of the sign, only to be told that they haven't had that for a long time. I was very disappointed, and it hen had to pick something else. My wife ordered the BBQ chicken salad, which she enjoyed. I ordered the boneless fried chicken. It included mashed potatoes and veggies. It was covered with gravy and it was very good. I finally roped someone who looked like the manager and he in fact was a manager. The reason that I wanted to talk to him was to explain how disappointed I was that they have a big sign that says they have a certain menu item yet they do not. In addition, I wanted to express my discontent that the dirty dishes and glasses were left on the table long after we were finished with our meals. This is definitely one of our pet peeves that they will ask you if you want something for dessert when the dinner dishes are still all over the table. The other issues I had are that when I went into the men's room, the threshold is extremely greasy and dirty. As was the Threshold at the front door. Because of these last two issues, I likely will not be returning there soon, and if I do, and I see that the threshold is still dirty, I will not go in. Some of you may find this petty, but I think it lends itself to the cleanliness of the restaurant.

I love pigs. Wish this meant Lucille's does too, just sayin' ... cute plates though.

Before I begin to give you my analysis of Lucille's, based on my one and only visit, I want to remind you of two things: I always compare/rate a place based on its category and like venues and I am a lifelong vegetarian/vegan. OK, so, as one of my Yelp buddies who is also a vegetarian pointed out, it may seem strange to see us eating at what is clearly a meat joint like Lucille's. However, if you have been a vegetarian (and a teetotaler, sort of) as long as I have, you will have had to find things to eat and drink in every type of place, all over the world. And, you become quite clever at it. That said, Lucille's has a lot of great things for a vegetarian (fewer for vegans, but they are there). It is actually a broad and deep menu and I realized I saw too many things I liked, to have all in one visit. My pictures will show you what I ordered, so I won't go into it here and if you really study the menu, looking at every single item, you will find as I did a lot of great choices. The place itself is enormous. There is one huge main room and flankers. There is also an outdoor/indoor patio and a giant wrap around bar. I imagine it must be full on Friday and Saturday nights. But, since it is very family friendly, it probably packs people in every night of the week. We were there on a late afternoon, Sunday, after an exhausting Saturday, so, all I wanted to do was slide into a booth and vegetate and have comfort stuff ferried to me. Our server, Natalia was super. She was chill but warm and friendly and genuinely seemed to understand what I was looking for. She has also worked for the Lucille's chain for over five years and loves it. That is an important aspect of a successful restaurant: happy, well cared for staff. The food was delicious. It is probably fattening, I won't deny it and so I had to take a lot home in the sturdy black plastic containers she happily brought. The tab was really reasonable. The place is clean, the art on the walls -- simulating, I guess, New Orleans vibes? -- is charming. It was noisy but not too much so. The music was good but not intrusive. Oh, and it is at the lovely Valencia Town Center, such a great place, easy parking, perfect for exhausted diners, LOL. If you are a vedger, don't hesitate to try it. Bring your creativity, relax and have a delicious meal, stress-free.

    BABY BACK RIBS FULL RACK

If I could put a 0 stars, I would! These food ruined our dinner! We ordered 2 full racks of baby back ribs, which were hard as rock and dry, the size wasn't saying full racks at all. Never going back again!

Okay so I gave in & gave them another chance but decided to order something completely different. We got the comeback fries & added brisket to them for some protein. We also got the pulled pork sandwich w/ side of veggies (super flavorful & not soggy) & bbq chicken salad.. honestly the fries & salad were 10/10. The cheese sauce on the fries was delicious & the fries weren't soggy. The salad was super refreshing and filling & I love the crispy onions on top. The meat on the pulled pork sandwich was good & I like the brioche buns they use. I would come back for the salad & loaded fries & would try a different sandwich next time Also Dylan was our server & he was great! He was super attentive & patient with helping us order; great service

We took a look and the pictures all looked delicious so we decided to give it a try. Best decision! We got to try the Tri tip which was my favorite, but also tried the half chicken (very juicy), & brisket. For side we got the mash potatoes and Mac and cheese which both had excellent flavor. We got a side of the grilled corn which wasn't our top from the other options but still good flavor. The waitress was also very helpful and answered all the questions my hubby had (he had asked quite a bit lol) They have seating inside and out but given the afternoon was fresh we opted to sit outside. The service didn't changed we were checked on often. Either way both options seemed pleasant. All in all, We were left in food coma after in the best way possible. This was a place we're saving to go back whenever we're in the area. 10/10

This use to be out go-to place for special occasions but it has fallen to the "will not go back"…read morecategory. For starters, it is outrageously priced for what you get. I got sticker shock just looking at the menu. Over $20 for a regular wedge salad. The kicker though was the cleanliness of the place. First there was black mold growing in the drink menu. Then i looked at the brick floor ( we were sat outside) and i was disgusted (see photo). I understand that drinks and food get spilled but it doesn't take much to power wash the patio at night. My plate came out dirty with a chip on the dish-ware. The bbq bottles were sticky and congealed. Just think, if this the cleanliness of the dining room, imagine what the kitchen looks like. I have worked in the restaurant business before and this is just intolerable. Two stars for a good atmosphere (live music). But that's it. If you want great bbq, try Copper Hill BBQ. It's doesn't have the atmosphere of Smoke House but you get great BBQ and a clean environment.

I live near Koreatown in LA and this spot is like home away from home when I visit family!…read more It is located in a large mini mall so there is ample parking. Inside, it is roomy, modern minimalist design with a high ceiling. Each table has a grill in the middle with a vent above. Staff turns the grill on low to prevent overcooking. (and yes, you are cooking your own meat which is the fun part.) I normally order all-you-can-eat menu A. I prefer the non-marinated meats - beef brisket, thin pork belly, beef belly and beef sirloin and dipping it in the oil/salt/pepper and the soy jalapeno dip. It's flavorful and "clean" in taste. I do like the marinated meats like the beef bulgogi, garlic chicken and spicy pork. They are marinated perfectly. I just prefer tasting the meat on its own. As with all KBBQ spots, you are given an array of banchan that can range from kimchi, pickled everything (radish, cucumber, daikon), potato salad and tofu. You also get a personal size serving of rice. Staff is very helpful and friendly and they switch the grill after each rotation. I can barely finish three rounds of meat so paying around $40 is well worth the price. This is place is great for hanging out with friends, a casual date or bringing the whole family. (For children, if the adults are buying the AYCE menu, children are charged by their height. My four year old niece barely eats so $10 is a great price and we don't have to pay for full price like some places do.

My Korean-born friend was craving some authentic Korean food but didn't want to make the drive all…read morethe way to Koreatown in Los Angeles, so we decided to try Charcoal Korean BBQ in Canyon Country, conveniently located at the corner of Whites Canyon and Soledad Canyon Road. We were both pleasantly surprised. My friend ordered the Cold Spicy Noodles and immediately commented on how authentic the flavor was, reminding her of dishes she enjoyed growing up in Korea. I went with the 5-piece Shrimp Tempura appetizer, which was perfectly crispy and delicious. Combined with the generous assortment of complimentary Korean side dishes, there was more than enough food to leave us completely satisfied. One of the highlights of the restaurant is that every table is equipped with its own tabletop barbecue. Most of the guests were enjoying the Korean BBQ experience, and the food looked fantastic. We didn't try the barbecue this visit, but after seeing and smelling what everyone else was cooking, it's definitely at the top of our list for next time. If you're looking for authentic Korean flavors without having to drive into Los Angeles, Charcoal Korean BBQ is a great local option. Friendly service, delicious food, and a comfortable atmosphere make it a place we'll gladly return to. I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars and look forward to coming back to try the tabletop BBQ next time.
