Beef bulgogi with shrimp gimbap
Judy C.

I enjoy eating Korean food. First time to try this place and my taste buds were so happy. The lady behind the counter is very nice and accommodating to my questions and suggestions. Will be back. Thank you!

Cute decor, very clean

This is such a cute spot, super clean and front staff was very friendly. There are several tables for seating but we ordered takeout. I ordered the jajang topokki (added sausage and quail eggs) which was great for my kids since they can't eat spicy type yet~ they especially loved the added sausages in it. Got the large deep fried set, which wasn't my favorite tbh, it wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be. The Korean sausage was decent, had about 11 pieces in the order. The pork cutlet gimbap was really delicious. My kids also got the cheese sticks and loved it. Of course had to get the sikhye slushie which was also delicious. I'm looking forward to trying out the other gimbap on their menu.

Jorge was our waiter, and he immediately brought waters and banchans. I made a comment about how the menu is now a QR code, and Jorge pointed out the newer items, such as egg rolls, hashbrown, and fried squid. We also ordered two draft beers ($7/ pint). Jorge took our meat order and we started off with beef belly, thin pork belly and marinated pork skirt meat. The food arrived on a robot which was really fun. (Don't forget to hit the Done button to send the robot back home!). I also ordered the fried squid. I found the beef belly to be perfectly fatty, and it crisped up really well. My favorite has been the marinated pork skirt meet for a while now. The marinade is a little sweet, and the pork tasted great too. I tried the fried squid legs and there was a lot more fried, and less squid legs. However, the batter was pretty tasty! We ordered a few repeat meats, and Jorge was efficient with the grill changes. The last thing I ordered was the tofu soup. I don't want to say it was too spicy, but it definitely had a kick that left me coughing. I wish that we could pick the spice level, maybe next time I will ask to see if it's possible to get less spice. This is my favorite KBBQ spot in SCV. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The icing on the cake for me is that they always have the best music playing! I always have a good time whenever I come here.

He deliberately requested to eat here, as a hard to please older Korean man who lives in ktown, that means alot in terms of the quality of the food and service. Anna and the rest of the staff were always on top of things and food was delicious. Our whole family is obsessed with the soybean/tofu soup. It's a must have with your choice of meat. A solid choice for KBBQ and we will be back soon. Thank you everyone at Wuso for enhancing my Uncle's birthday experience!

We were both pleasantly surprised. My friend ordered the Cold Spicy Noodles and immediately commented on how authentic the flavor was, reminding her of dishes she enjoyed growing up in Korea. I went with the 5-piece Shrimp Tempura appetizer, which was perfectly crispy and delicious. Combined with the generous assortment of complimentary Korean side dishes, there was more than enough food to leave us completely satisfied. One of the highlights of the restaurant is that every table is equipped with its own tabletop barbecue. Most of the guests were enjoying the Korean BBQ experience, and the food looked fantastic. We didn't try the barbecue this visit, but after seeing and smelling what everyone else was cooking, it's definitely at the top of our list for next time. If you're looking for authentic Korean flavors without having to drive into Los Angeles, Charcoal Korean BBQ is a great local option. Friendly service, delicious food, and a comfortable atmosphere make it a place we'll gladly return to. I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars and look forward to coming back to try the tabletop BBQ next time.

We walked in and immediately loved the huge aespa standee/poster display. We were also amazed by the huge variety of ramen to choose from. We picked out our flavors, and the girl working there was so sweet and explained the whole process since we had no idea what to do at first!!! We finished with dessert and picked out the little viral fruit-shaped ice creams. So yummy!!! Oh, and we added our little Post-it note to the wall too!!!! If you haven't gone yet, I highly encourage you to check it out. Such a fun experience! Just a little FYI -- it is a small place.

The chicken katsu and Pork is delicious on top your ramen too being evenly cut, seasoned, and freshly cooked. Cleanly Korean fried and perfectly flavored. Everything is fresh and individually wrapped which makes portions and cleanliness effortless. The amount of flavored drinks and various bobas is delicious and affordable too. I love the various blueberry lemonades myself. There is a number of people in all walks of life coming through here and the place is full of happiness and positive energy. You should try and bring the family here for some ramen fun!

The spicy I'd say was like a 3 out of 5 in heat, but a 5 out of 5 in flavor. A touch of sweet to cut the heat. I've had some spicy k-fried chicken wear my lips burned for an hour lol, this one is palatable and delicious! The soy ginger is salty goodness, perfect for someone who wants to venture a step beyond the Classic Crunch. My personal choice for next time would be the fries over the Korean style street corn. If you've had esquites from your local street vendor, you'll feel the same. The portions here are hella generous for the price; lunch special is $11.99 for a variety of chicken combos and a side. I appreciate the choice of bottled or soda machine for my soda; I'm a bottle person. They have Pepsi for your carbonated needs. The crunch on this chicken is something special. Particularly on the legs. It gives the full ASMR experience! The female cashier was super welcoming and helpful. We were hesitant on what flavor to choose, and she offered a two flavor split. She also noticed my wife didn't order a drink and offered a water cup. It's the little things, but oftentimes I have to ask for basic necessities. The restaurant has several booths or regular table seating. The atmosphere is fun and exciting, just like the chicken! The cashier kept it moving as well, making sure the restaurant was clean and checking on all the customers. For the out of towners making a pit stop but want something special for the road, or a local in need of some comfort food, this is the spot. It's not quite as fast as "fast food" (crispy chicken takes time), but it is oh so worth the teensy wait!
