Always see this brewery and decided to come for a tasting. Brought my dog with me, me and my boyfriend really enjoyed some of tbe beers, love the logo and gear. Glad they had food, we ordered two burgers and fries, burgers are big but great!! Definitely impressed!! Great music, punk and metal. Bathrooms have kick ass stickers. Not very impressed with this place. I was looking for a good burger and this came up when I typed in burgers for my area. My burger actually had the old meat taste to it. I only ate half of it. They only offer ketchup and you can get your burgers plain with nothing on them or with the lettuce, tomato and the beard sauce (thousand island). There is no Mayo or mustard to add to the burgers that come with only meat and cheese. The guy that was working the bar was not the most welcoming either. Was not rude per say but not welcoming. Amazing beers out in East County. Kick ass Beertenders as well, that are super knowledgeable about not only their beers but others as well! Awesome music selection to boot. Really looking forward to the sour program! No food options (yet, but there is a kitchen in the works). I went there for a burger and a beer, and both were excellent. No tv on the wall, so nothing but punk, alternative, and rock music for your ears. It's a proper bar where you order only at the bar. They give you a beeper for your food, and you go around to a whole other room you wouldn't know was there to pick it up. My stout was real good. The fries are in a basket that is enough for two. Ordered a burger asked for no onions , was told no substitutions ‍anyway ordered the burger took off the onions and the brisket was mostly charred ends that weren't edible, one beer my burger and a friends burger was 44+ change , beer was desent, definitely wouldn't go back for the price or the ordeal over a so called substitution, this place just seemed like if you weren't a regular you could pretty much F off I still can't wrap my head around a 14 dollar and 9 dollar burger and one beer to total 44 bucks didn't even argue just wanted to get out of the place read more

Not fancy... bus yourself , in a industrial area ,but don't let this deter you. The burgers are on point and delicious! Tried the garlic fries this time. By far the best I've had! This place has the best burgers & fries! When I'm craving just a good, simple burger that's gonna but the spot for comfort food, my husband and I go here! Great laid back atmosphere and beer too. Great place! There was a little bit of a line right when I got in but no problem after I got in it! Park on the street. Boy was I in for a treat (literally). I asked for four tasters and it was easily obliged by the person working there. She helped me pick out the BarbeBruner saison (sweet farmstyle), Lieber Augustine (cool lager which I loved), Dankness Visable (SD IPA, pretty good), and Holy the void (breakfast stout). I am an IPA person but I loved the Lieber. Hold on, hold on, wait a minute, they do pairings with truffles and beer? Sign me up! I tried the milk chocolate with grapefruit hints with the saison, try it simply a good choice in life. If you don't like fruity try the bacon dark chocolate with the breakfast stout, can't go wrong. Good selection of their beers, with ABV % that vary depending on your choice. Staff is friendly for the most part, and they have a lot of seating available inside and outside. The only thing I am not a fan of, is that they are still requiring a food purchase with your tab, which is not mandatory in California (due to COVID) since about a month ago, so I don't understand why they decided to still require that. So you have about 10 different food items to pick from, AND you cannot substitute anything on any order. I ordered the garlic fries and I give them a 2 out of 5. Horrible attitude from the "hostess" who looked like she hadn't showered for days while standing around making snarky remarks.... Especially when a gentleman walked in who happened to not be a white and the menu was so limited it's ridiculous. If you wanted extra tomatoes or lettuce on your burger there was an extra charge! Way too expensive the portions were not worth the $. Oh and seriously DO NOT ASK FOR A LEMON OR LIME for your beer.... I happen to LIKE it in mine AND I AM PAYING FOR IT.... It's as though I pulling a gun out of my purse when I asked for a lemon or lime. I happen to like it on my burger as well. I've been to restaurants in Los Angeles where the chef is the"rockstar" and you don't dare deviate from their menu... but I did and you know why ? Because I am paying for it and I am going to eat it. This was mine and my fiancé's favorite brewery. We are Santee residents so this was our go-to spot for craft beer...weekday and/or weekend. We came here religiously every week to grab a cold one and a piece of pizza. We always brought our 5 year old along with our dogs. It was a hit! We had one bad experience awhile ago that really set us off and we have been debating whether or not to post this. We get this is more of a punk rock establishment - i rock your logo on my car. It's dope. However - one day the blaring music lyrics were screaming of 'sluts and cocaine' and it just wasn't acceptable to us knowing it was a family friendly brewery. It wasn't a one line thing in the song. It was a continuous thing. There were other children there as well. My fiancé asked the beer tender (whom i will not point out) to politely change the song - to ANYTHING BUT the current explicit language song. He stated 'i wont change it, but i will turn it down...don't you get you are at a bar'. UM, last i checked - you are a brewery (NOT a bar) and you are FAMILY FRIENDLY. Am I right? I will not condone that - nor should any parent, employee, or visitor of this business. It's not okay. Just change the damn song, THATS IT! There were other children there. If you are a parent, you know they are a creature of habit. I will not allow my child to repeat those lyrics. Sad that one encounter and a damn song had to ruin our relationship with this brewery. read more

I stopped on this El Cajon Brewery mainly because I wanted to have some nachos from a local vendor that was set up here for the evening, but it did not mean I could not enjoy those nachos with an ice cold beer. I ended up ordering the Normcore Pilsner pint and like I said, I like a pilsner cold which was just the way they served it. The beer was refreshing but it did offer some bitterness with a hint of citrus and finished stronger than most pilsner I have experienced. I liked it but I would be lying if I did not admit it did have a strong finished. It was a very good pilsner as pils go. The brewery's tap room is quite noisy based on the fact that they play some very loud music. I did not mind it for a short period, but after a while, I did need to go outside. They offer a decent amount of seating inside and outside. I like that they offer food vendors during the early evening hours usually on Friday's and Saturdays. Nice brewery. read more

Wow! This place is tiny but mighty! I enjoyed EVERY beer I tried here. Which is totally saying something because I am a total beer snob and am super picky. Not only is the beer well crafted, the beertender was friendly and helpful but I enjoyed multiple styles of beer I tried. I got a flight to start 4, 4oz beers, a pint and asked for a splash (but they don't do them... just $1 2oz pours) and I enjoyed all 6 beers I tried. They have plenty of room inside with water jug and game section and snacks for purchase. They also have a food truck list posted outside that comes almost every day of the week. They also have an outside dog friendly patio that me and my pup enjoyed along with a smoking section towards the end of the patio for all those who need that. Great place, really cool merchandise/ logo. I walked out with a 4 pack to go but they also have Crowlers and Growlers for sale and fill. read more

Absolutely terrific beers. The burgers are great, too, or at least mine was: Punkspeare. Enjoyed a Dankness Visible, a New Traditionalists, and a Dreamer Deceiver. Each was terrific and far better than I have had at breweries in CO, AZ, and ID. Dankness Visible, a standard American IPA, was on par with Frank the Dank, an outstanding DIPA from Karl Strauss in San Diego. I will be visiting again. read more
