I was on this side of town and woman felt like Chinese, found this here, prices were reasonable, sure. I called in one egg roll, the dumplings, wings, shrimp lo mein and mixed meat (beef, chicken, shrimp) fried rice. The parking lot it's in is a mixed bag but it's across the street from a movie theatre. They have drive thru, it looks like it was a taco shop or something before. My food wasn't quite done when I got there. Paid and waited a few mins. It's clean inside. Lady at the counter was nice and I will give them props for not asking for a tip anywhere on the screen. Hoping that means workers are paid fairly. Anyway! Everything was packed nicely, she said my sauces and napkins were in the bag, and they were. I ate the egg roll first. $2 is low risk to try it. It was crisp and flavourful. I'd do 3/$5. The dumplings were pretty tasty. What I thought might be potsticker sauce was more soy sauce so I made my own sauce. Woman said the wings weren't bad either. I didn't try them. They do give good portion sizes for the price but my issue was that the meat lacks flavour. For there to be such big chunks, they need to have their own flavours! Went through the drive through for lunch at Burning Wok. I had heard good things from coworkers and decided to try them out. Each order does appear to be made fresh - so it takes a few minutes for the food to be ready. The portions are large and the food tasted great! I was happy with the experience! read more

Not very many good Chinese restaurants outside of Chinatown so I always make it a point to try the handful that pop up near my neighborhood. Lunch time and the place is empty. I was debating if I just do the drive thru ( a first Chinese drive thru I know of) dine in or to go. I wanted to see the interior so I went in and ordered from the counter. The place is clean and very spartanly decorated aside from the blown up photos of their dishes on the walls. I was greeted warmly by the cashier who took my order as well. I ordered chicken fried rice, egg rolls and hot and sour soup. It didn't take long and my food was ready. Love the fried rice and egg rolls! Not your typical runoff the mill Chinese fried rice where rice were clumped and greasy. It's got carrots, peas, eggs and chunks of chicken. And it has that wok hay aroma. The egg rolls were freshly fried and crispy. The dipping sauce tho came in packets. Was expecting a house made sauce. The downer was the hot and sour soup. It tasted 'old'. It was so salty and 'watery' like it's been reheated several times. And no tofu in it! Don't they always come with chunks or even bits of tofu in it? The carrots and mushrooms looked grey and wilted. Would love to love this place not just because they have good fried rice and egg rolls, good service but also the proximity to my place. But if you're serving soup that doesn't even look remotely like what you're advertising on your flyers, then what good is it? Oh well, thats just one item. There was a period of time that seemed like FOREEEEEVER waiting for this place to open! I've come a couple times when it finally opened and my experience was the same both times. For a Chinese eatery, it was impressively tidy, and the prices were unexpectedly more budget friendly than most . As for the food? Simply put It was truly fantastic! The portion sizes were perfect as well. I've certainly discovered my new go-to place....at least for awhile! Something new is always popping up. Finally tried this place tonight and decided to use the drive thru versus going inside. One person ahead of us but it didn't take too long. We were greeted quickly after reaching the speaker. Lots of choices on an easy to read menu. I went with the sesame chicken and fried rice for my plate. Total came out to $10. Presented nicely in a tote like bag, Togo menu and a nice takeout container. For the sesame chicken alone, I'd give it 5 , however the fried rice was not cooked all the way thru. It was quite crunchy. I'm not sure if it was just a fluke/off dish tonight so I'll definitely give them another shot. I just don't like the texture of rice not cooked all the way, but the chicken was excellent! The rice is just basic rice fried with no veggies, but they don't up charge you either. Good size portions too! I hope they do well as it's nice to have a drive thru Asian spot so close to home. read more

We were so impressed the first time we visited we recommended it to neighbors in the Nextdoor app. When we went back a couple months ago, it was just OK. Decided to try it again last night, and unfortunately we were disappointed. The GOOD points- the place is clean, the people are friendly, the portions are generous, and the fried rice was tasty. Great spot for fast, tasty Chinese food in Henderson! The staff wasn't the friendliest but they just opened and are still working out the kinks..... more confused than rude. The menu has plenty of flavorful options like Mongolian beef and orange chicken that taste fresh and well-seasoned. My experience with Burning Wok has been mostly positive so far. I was greeted warmly by an employee who was actually getting into his truck to leave. I was greeted again by the giy behind the counter. My food was brough out to me when it was ready. So in terms of service, top notch. The restaurant was pretty chilly on the day I went it. And a bit on the wet side. It was a monsoon day. The moisture in the air was condensing on the AC ducts and almost causing it to rain inside. There was definitely some dripping onto the floor which had become sticky. The tables were clean and drg though. For my meal, I ordered orange chicken and a cup of wonton soup. The soup was great. Simple clear broth. A few wontons and some green onion. Exactly how I like my wonton soup. It reminded me of what I ate at my favorite Chinese spot when I was a kid. Except these were chicken wontons instead of pork. Still tasty in my book. As for the orange chicken, much more citrusy than what you get at Panda. You can actually see, taste and smell the orange with the stuff from Burning Wok. This was more crispy too. That is not necessarily a good thing. When it was fresh, the crispiness was nice. The leftovers just became hard. Panda leftover hold up better as their chicken tends to be more tender. All in all, Burning Wok was not bad. No line but a bit of a wait. Friendly service. Pros: Made to order food that is fresh tasting and delicious. Drive thru option is a major plus- extremely friendly service with decent wait time. Their brown sauce used in the tofu dish is a very subtle flavor that doesn't overpower the dish-absolutely delish. Texture of the tofu was perfect and the green beans were soft and easy to chew. Cons: Crab Rangoon were tasty but flat. The two of us that had white rice with our entrees both had the same gripe- the rice was too dry. Needs more water when cooking. I've been sick with a stomach bug since Christmas. When I'm sick all I want is simple wonton soup but there are so many places that only do wor wonton or have wonton soup on the menu but it's actually wor wonton. When I'm sick I can't handle large chunks of broccoli/carrots/meat and the texture of wet greens and mini corn will make me gag so I've been suffering for 2 days craving wonton soup. This is exactly what I wanted and what I needed. For $3!?!?!! I ordered 2 and sent my son from Centennial Hills to Henderson to pick it up! I haven't had anything to eat for 2 days. I had planned to save the second one for later but it's not going to make it. The first one is already finished. Stopped in on weekday to dine-in. Nice large menu screens and very bright and clean establishment. Staff was very friendly and explained all the menu options with a smile. Tried the Mongolian beef and girlfriend tried the Kung pao chicken. Also ordered the egg drop soup and chicken skewers. Everything was made fresh to order and was delicious. The fried rice that came with my Mongolian was also very good. Large portions and reasonable prices. Love the to-go bag too. One recommendation to the owner is to consider installing a soda fountain vs the bottled drinks. However, they do offer complimentary filtered ice water that is very good. Will definitely be back and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick and delicious Chinese take out spot. read more

Stopped in to check out the restaurant after I saw that it finally opened. I bought orange chicken w/ fried rice along with chicken skewer and hot & sour soup. The foods were really good with good portion but I wished the hot & sour soup had more sour flavor to it but other than that everything was good. I eat here occasionally. This time I ordered my usual #6, I paid extra $3 for combination. Meat was salty/msg, no spice at all to the kung pao. I mixed the rice together hoping it would calm the salt, but it didn't. My husband's #3 (sweet/sour ckn) tasted fine. His wonton soup was ok. We each ordered the Sesame Chicken with fried rice. Both were absolutely delicious, significantly better than I've had at other oriental and island style preparations. We'll surely go back. We went to the Burning Wok for lunch and we were amazed. Hubby had the Mongolian chicken bowl and I had the Orange Chicken bowl. The Orange chicken wasn't to sweet and I liked that so much better than overly sweet, the portions were large too. Hubbys Mongolia chicken was also really good. First experience was great. The second experience was very horrible. We were referred to by your customer that we knew that works in the area. You had a manager that was rude and jumped to conclusions on us being homeless where we just shopped at SMITH'S grocery store he used no common sense on it. We had a shopping cart. We showed him credit cards. We showed him our receipt spent 178.00at Smith food store. It was a horrible experience. I had just had surgery on my kidney. Could I sit in in there while my son got an Uber? he thought we were homeless but we weren't. We proved to him that we weren't homeless. He's tall and thin and very rude and not compassionate when this happened on November 8 around 4 PM in the evening on a Saturday Initially, we intended to sit in to eat there was another customer there that left her keys on the counter and he didn't have the decency to ask. Who keys were they? I went in the back. I went in the back and asked the gentleman and he sees his keys and it was. This man had poor judgment that's all I can say nothing more. read more
