I usually drop in for the lunch specials. I've tried many of them. Today it was Fish Fillet with Black Bean Sauce, Chow Mein, & fresh steamed vegetables. Next time I want to try their honey walnut shrimp since that's one of my favorite dishes and with crab Rangoon too, but it was one or the other with the wontons. I just moved to the area and needed some fast food because I was super hungry. I decided to give this place a try because I love Chinese food. I was afraid at first that I wouldn't be able to sit inside and eat, but they have a few tables. I'm sure they mostly do take out though. I was starving though and I can usually eat any quality of Kung Pao chicken, so I ordered that and made it a meal deal with soup and fried stuff. I sat down fully expecting them to call my name and I would go pick up a to go bag of food to eat at my table. Instead, the man who I ordered with brought me a little cup of egg drop soup. This egg drop soup was hot, fresh and comforting. The flavor was very clean and crisp. They use corn to make it and it has a delicious flavor overall. The man then brought freshly made and hot fried rice. This fried rice was pretty much perfect, not the best I've ever had but just incredible for what this place is. He then brought me a plate with a crab rangoon and an egg roll, they were splendid. Finally, he brought my kung pao chicken and it was excellent. I asked for it extra spicy, it wasn't really very spicy but it was very flavorful and again very hot and fresh. Everything tasted flavorful, clean, hot and fresh. The meal including the soda was $17 and some change. I tipped 18%, if I had known that they were going to bring it to my table and how delicious it was going to be, I would have just tipped the 25%. The portions were huge, so there is enough food to share amongst several people. The beef with the broccoli was tender. The chicken was tender, the asparagus was flavorful. Everything was hot and cooked well. The visual appearance of the honey walnut shrimp was different than what I'm used to seeing, but it tasted fine (looked very orange compared to other locations). The chicken and broccoli was crazy salty. All in all this wasn't as good an experience as I would've expected. I ordered the spicy garlic chicken lunch special with no veggies. Besides being a picky eater and not liking many vegetables, I have also found that you get more meat when you do it this way. Talk about a great life hack! Anyway, in addition to the mountain of chicken I received, I also received fried rice AND chow mein. They also brought some egg drop soup out beforehand. Super good Chinese food! The flavor profile in the various dishes hits hard (in a good way). I really enjoy the Mongolian beef and the hot garlic shrimp. I don't know what happened to this place- we ordered food from here a year ago, we were pleasantly surprised. We thought it was good. Fast forward to now, much different story. We ordered the orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and honey walnut shrimp. The shrimp and orange chicken were heavily breaded. The Mongolian beef had this weird gravy on it. Even their egg drop soup was disappointing. It was watery and had little flavor. Everything was super salty. We also ordered the fried rice and egg rolls, again very salty. For what we paid we would have better off going to Panda Express. P.E. at least has good orange chicken. They're service was good, food was ready on time and the staff was friendly. Hello, My mom & I decided to go over to China go go on Valle Verde in Henderson,which we liked, a little better than the one on Boulder & Lake mead next to the Albertsons grocery, because the food seem really fresh not over cooked veggies, wilted and so on.. I ordered by phone and and left as soon as I ordered to go pick up my food and had to wait a few minutes. No biggie there. I ordered chicken fried rice and Mu Shu chicken. Mu Shu chicken was okay but the fried rice had egg shell throughout and nothing worse than eating and biting down on egg shell every few bites. They also gave me a side of white rice and I transferred to a bowl and I noticed a dark thing in the bottom and it looked like a cooked piece of chicken liver. I know things can happen but if I'm leaving a 20% tip don't you think they could be a little more caring in preparation of the food. read more
