(read below) ... poor customer service, weak management ... be sure to do your homework and go to a real dealership for your purchase & service! Looks like legal action will be the road to take now!!!! ......... #1 in Poor Service -- NEGLIGENCE !! ...Re-think your purchase ... dealership does not support their customer care at all! This dealership failed me 3 ways --- Service, management, and product ... I have lost all faith in this product (2011 Acadia) and the management at this dealership is a real "joke" ... while in for service, the dealership created another issue and did not take full accountability by replacing the parts they damaged. (service writer confirmed I never had an issue with my struts ... the seals were just fine ... but they can freeze when left up in the air too long) ... knowing this, why take the chance ... service writer said they could have done things in stages and put the suv down along the way... but unfortunately, he was on vacation during this work. AND, let me leave knowing there was a new issue, and did not tell me ... the mechanic said he didn't want to create another bill for us, so just didn't mention it. Good thing there were no mishaps driving home! I'm shocked that this dealership has done this to us, and felt it necessary to charge us $147.00 for what they did! Willing to jeopardize the 14yrs of loyalty we've shown on several vehicles ... They are obviously in it for the money only ... what a shame!!! My vehicle was there a total of 9 days and this is the best they can do? A monkey could do better!!! Glad I wasn't injured while driving the vehicle. Remember: You're only as good as the service you provide ... which in this case, is NONE!!! After spending over 50k on an SUV for my wife they basically called me a liar when I let them know that it was missing the headphones and remote for the rear seat entertainment. I made the mistake of buying a used 2006 GMC Sierra from this dealership five years ago. It is used predominately to pull my two horse trailer locally and therefore reliability and safety were my utmost concern. In the five years I have put less than 5,000 miles on it so the current mileage is 58,500. Yet so far I have spent $3500 in repairs to have the brakes and brake lines replaced (due to rusting out) after I lost all braking while driving, replaced the engine thermostat and battery, replaced the transmission lines, have had the door actuators go (I won't pay to fix that) so that rear doors have to be manually locked every time, and now they want another $800 to replace a front brake bearing and ABS sensor. This was the first used vehicle I have ever purchased and my first purchase from Burn's GMC division. I have purchased four new vehicles from their Honda dealership. I am ditching this vehicle and purchasing a new truck elsewhere. will never buy another vehicle from this dealership and find it interesting that Yelp only shows two other reviews while 64 are hidden and appear to be predominately negative. read more

And the award for worst customer service ever goes to . . . drum roll . . Burns Buick. This dealership is truly an enigma. Most car dealers are all over customers through emails, mailings, calls and when visiting the showroom. Burns is the polar opposite. As an existing customer you never hear from them. This of course is due to the fact that you have no point person on the staff but are, instead, passed from one random person to another. When visiting the showroom, do not expect to be greeted or engaged. Unless you actively seek someone out no one gets up from their desk. When you do find someone, the conversation will be short. It is though their sales people cannot wait to get their interactions with customers over as quickly as possible. I can only draw two conclusions about Burns. First, they have no interest in making money and two they have no interest in building or retaining a customer base. Some advice, you may want to send your sales staff to Apple store or a Holman dealership to learn how customer service should work. read more

First, the good - The Hyundai service staff is friendly and helpful, and maintenance work is good and reasonably priced (timing belt was under $500). The parts guys are knowledgeable and helpful as well. I have no experience with the sales staff. Now the bad - Another dealer had told me (within the first 3 years of owning the car) the airbag light was coming on and off because there was an empty cigarette pack knocking around under the passenger seat and the wiring is very sensitive. Wow, that really makes you feel safe doesn't it? I ended up going to Burns and reluctantly paid about $450 for repairs to the airbag system - I complained because of the history but still paid for the repair. The light came back on within a day or so and the service manager apologized and had me bring the car back. Now I was told the repair would be over $1000 because the part was so expensive! I declined the repair. I was also told that I would likely receive a credit back for part of the initial "repair" because it didn't fix the problem. However, after leaving phone messages for the service manager, I have yet to receive a call back or the credit. Two months have gone by. I will say that a transmission issue I had for years (which could never be duplicated at the dealership) finally was repaired at Burns... they replaced it under the 100K warranty. Thank goodness I was persistent on bringing the car back so they could keep trying to duplicate the problem. However, when I got home and opened up the hood, the top transmission bolt was not screwed in... The service manager was again very apologetic and had me bring the car back to check it over - they even cleaned the car and filled the tank with gas for the inconvenience. Overall, the staff is nice, but if you want something done right the first time, don't bother going here. read more

I had a very positive expereince when buying a Hyundai Elantra 9 monhts ago. My sales person was knowledgeable, and not pushy. I told him I was looking at other dealers and exactly what I was looking at. I chose because of value pricing vs what else I looked at. The car runs great, I get superb gas mileage, I am tall and the front seats have a great deal of room. I added the package with heated seats because a back problem, and really enjoy the efficiency of the heated seats. I am very happy with the car and my experience at Burns. read more

If I could give a negative 10 stars I would. Words cannot describe how unhappy I am with the service they provided at the collision center. The bumper was over a 1/4 inch off when they told me the car was ready. I assume they hoped I wouldn't notice... I did. They said it would be ready the next day. The bumper was still not aligned properly. But he said that was the best they could do, and that they guarantee all of there work. My question is why is he guaranteeing me the quality of work they do when I am staring at a service they provided that is nowhere near up to par!? Not to mention how much out of pocket I had to spend after taking the car home and finding more problems with sensors related to the accident that somehow they didn't notice... my thoughts they reset them and sent us on our way to have them go off after we drove the car home... Either way by the time we paid out of pocket had the car home and realized we had more expenses coming I talked to Bob the manager. He promises me all kinds of help. None of those promises stuck, and here is the kicker! Bob tells me "why are u now telling me you are unhappy when yesterday you said the car looks great?" Now he is putting words in my mouth because he thinks he can make it go away... I said "BOB I WAS NEVER HAPPY WITH THE SERVICES YOU PROVIDED. IN FACT I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE RECEIPT WHEN WE SIGNED WITH US WRITING A NOTE ON IT STATING THAT WE ARE UNSATISFIED WITH THE BODY OF THE CAR AND OTHER ISSUES WITH THE REPAIRS." Just another way he tried to sweep us under the rug. Either way I am done wasting time and money with this horrible and pathetic excuse for a buisness. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT LET THEM WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY TOO. this doesn't come close to showing how truly bad the experience was read more

I went to Burns for six years since I bought a new Acadia. This car had lots of issues on top of numerous factory recalls. In most cases, the tech could not find the problem or claimed it did not exist. Case in point, it took at lease three tries before they fixed the traction control problem. Once the warranty period ends, the tech always found more problems than were on the write-up. Two months ago, I took the car in for regular oil change, the shift manager said the tech found a leaky Oil Pressure Sensor. He quoted three hours of labor plus part for about $440. When I told him that I did not want to wait that long, he replied that they could get it done in an hour! I asked him why charge for three hours when it could be done in an hour, he rebuked that the tech had to use thousand-dollar tool! I went to Auto-Zone and bought an oil sensor for $45 plus $11.99 for the special socket. The job was done at home in less than 30 minutes and I am not even a good mechanic. When a business charges the customers inflated prices and then treats them like idiots, it's time to walk. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! I would definitely think twice about dealing with Burns!! I unfortunately was in some what of a rush to purchase a SUV. Me and my wife were moving to Massachusetts from New Jersey, After a few weeks of dealing with Burns they found a vehicle that I like. During the sales process the salesman told me that they had two sets of keys for the vehicle, however one set was still in the possession of the previous owner. The salesman told me that since I was moving out of state that when he received the second set of keys he would mail them to me. Weeks went by and there was still no response from the salesman and no key. I contacted the salesman again, he said he would make another attempt to contact the previous owner again to retrieve the key. A few more weeks go by and still no word of a second key, I contacted the salesman again and he informed me that the previous owner was being a "creep" about returning the key. His solution was from me to go to my closest Ford dealership ( the vehicle i purchased was a Ford Explorer) so I could get an estimate for what a new key, fob and reprogramming would cost. I did what I was told and got the estimate and at my earliest convenience I faxed the estimate to the dealership. Hours later I received a call from the manager informing me that they would not be giving me a check for the 228 dollars the dealership quoted me at. The manager also told me that they gave me such a good deal on the 24 thousand dollar vehicle that giving me a check for 228 dollars would cut into there profits. I am disgusted with the was this is being handled. All that I am asking from the dealership is to give me what is deserved from the original agreement! I will be contacting my attorney and have already filed a claim with the BBB. Take extreme caution when dealing with Burns!! Wish I could redo this transaction to ensure I could not be put into this position! read more

If I could give them less than one star I would. I am sorry to say I was unlucky enough to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. When I picked up my vehicle it was covered in white flecks of paint. It was a black van ... Supposedly detailed. Pressed for time, they promised to detail it later..... A lie. Next, there was an engine issue. Under warranty, we brought it in. They never fixed the problem but did crack my windshield. They Never mentioned that they did it, just handed me my keys and hoped I would not notice the huge crack stemming from massive chip where something had obviously been dropped. When we FINALLY got a manager to give us his time, he said... Oh we will take care if it ( without asking or looking at it) . It was apparent he new about it . We asked him to take a look and he said, ... Oh, it's ok... I believe you. Well, they replaced it. They also damaged the interior in the process and caused water damage to the vehicle with the leakage that came from the poor installation of the windshield. It took 4 times to replace the windshield until it was done right. If you want a vehicle with a staff you can trust..... Run the other way!!!! This manager and his staff are rude and underhanded in the way they do business. read more

I had my 2002 Saturn sedan repaired 7 years ago at Burns body shop after being rear-ended. They replaced the left rear quarter panel at that time and did a fantastic job in a timely manner. This year I noticed that there was water in the trunk and took the car to the Burns service department. They said that there were 2 open body seams in the rear quarter panel that needed to be repaired for a total cost of $600.00. When I went to pick up the car I told that I thought we should come to an agreement concerning the charges as the defect was most likely due to to the replacement of the rear quarter panel 7 years ago. Bob from the body shop took a look and while he could not confirm that the original repair may have been faulty, he agreed with my argument that it was to much of a coincidence and waved all charges for the repairs and I paid nothing. i find this level of customer service unusual and will continue to recommend Burns Buick GMC for repairs. read more

I almost got burned by Burns! The name says it all. I had come in the night before and let the salesperson run my credit and take the VIN #âs for my trades to speed up the process. He said he would beat the quote I got for the Chevy Equinox (I was comparing it to the GMC Terrain). I had an appointment scheduled for 7PM the next day. I got there at 6:54 and two other customers walked in after me. They decided to close those sales first and then get to me last. I was incredibly patient (my mistake) and chose to sit there and wait, smiling like an idiot while they ignored me. The Manager, Greg, was on his Blackberry and never once came over to follow-up. It was one hour before they even started to appraise my first car. There were 5 guys standing around doing nothing but laughing at the Smart Car I brought in to trade. Itâs a funny car, but I didnât come in there to pay for a comedy show. After two hours, I started to ask what was going on with the monthly payments, I needed to see them first before we do anything. The manager finally came over and told me to keep waiting, we will get started soon. They were clearly playing games with me. They proceeded to take the plates off both of my cars and informed me that my new car was being detailed and cleaned. Hold on. What? I didnât even get a price yet. They told me just keep waiting, we will get you a price. If I saw the clean new car, I waited 3 hours â" I would certainly be swayed to buy even if the price wasnât 100% as discussed. Iâm in sales too and see my co-workers use similar tactics all day long. At this point, I already made my decision but stuck around since I already waited so long. After 3 hours, the Manager finally came out with my price. I got a deal alright. Not only did he give me a price, alongside it, he also offered up a huge dose of his attitude. The rate was 6.99% and he was pushing me to do 72-Months. I already told them that the maximum I wanted was 66-months and Chevrolet had offered me 4%. The entire time I was waiting, they kept saying weâre giving you a better deal than you got at Chevy, just wait, and just keep waiting for it. I waited and waited. They also offered $1500 less for my other car than the other dealership. I must have had a sticker on my head that said âI'm a woman and I'm also a moronâ The Managerâs ornery delivery of this information was the icing on the cake. My boyfriend told him the offer was horrible and he got offended by this. His response was âwhy donât you try to put it under your name than?! I donât think you understand that this is the hottest car on our lot, we are selling it left and right, youâre purchasing a premier vehicle!!!!?!?!?!?!?!â Itâs a decent SUV, but letâs relax here. It wasnât supposed to be an argument, itâs a discussion. Then he said he would've gotten me a better rate, but all of the banks had closed already. Wait â" I gave you my information the night before and you had all day to organize everything but you waited until 9PM to finish when the banks are closed? My head was spinning at this point, so I said I wasnât there to argue with him, made them put the plates on my car and I walked out. They all stood there staring at me like a bunch of sharks. Uncomfortable describes it lightly.They called me the next day (didn't even apologize for the madness the night before) and said they would offer a payment that's $13 less. Oh boy. You couldn't give me free car from this dealership if I had to go back there and attempt to communicate with them again. My husband and I had a lease with Burns Hyundai that was about to expire. We wanted to upgrade to and SUV because our family is growing. Thinking that since we were returning customers they would work with us more, we were highly disappointed with how we were treated. The price they gave us for an Acadia was ridiculous. I told them I didn't want to pay anymore than $399 a month, they came back with $419/month with $1000 down. I said that was ridiculous. After spending hours there and them going back and forth to "talk to their manager", this was the best they could do? It was infuriating. The manager also told me "that I will not find a better deal." Well guess what? I absolutely did. We ended up going to Pellegrino GMC and now pay $390/month with only our first payment down and I am so glad we went there. There was no back and forth, we told them what we wanted and they gave us that price. Burns can learn a thing or two from Pellegrino. read more
