They seem on it. Just this crazy rule they have about a dr being within 50 miles of them. Seems stupid since there is a DEA drug list every class 3 drug has to be input into so no one can shop drs or prescriptions these days. Just another way to mess with hurting sick and disenfranchised people. But the store is clean and the customer service seemed very on point. I can only give 3 stars because I don't fill a script I just visited and asked a ton of questions. read more

NEVER use this pharmacy. Me and my fiancé are ill and had our doc fill out a prescription for antibiotics. We decided to use BURNS PHARMACY since it's close to us and family owned...the prescription was sent to them on the 20th so we could have it ready for pick up by the 23rd but when we called to verify on the 23rd, they lied saying they just received it and it would take a few hours to fill (wasn't ready until right before they closed). We couldn't get it due to them taking so long so we came back today (24th Xmas Eve) and they told us they only have my fiancés ready and not mine and it would take MORE TIME and they close early today....by the time I'll be able to get the prescription, I won't even be sick anymore. They are liars, lazy, and honestly, this family should just close up shop and leave the pharmacy work to Walgreens or cvs read more

So thankful for this pharmacy! Not a single store (Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, etc) had the Telfa non-stick/non-adhesive pads available. They all have store branded "non stick", however for post-op, large open wound dressing, Telfa are the best! Sterile swabs and other supplies also on hand and can be purchased by the each instead of a huge box. My only wish would have been to see all of their employees wearing masks. Several weren't even wearing them below their nose.. no mask at all. We're still in the midst of the COVID-19 global pandemic and the Delta variant is surging. Burns Pharmacy has been my pharmacy for over 20 years. The staff is professional but always kind and understanding. It is also an excellent compounding pharmacy. All of the staff is very helpful but I would like to extend an extra shout out to Julie who has been especially helpful (but professional) this past year. This place is awesome from the two ladies at the counter the gentlemen in the back and the lady at the equipment desk. They are all great people. Gouging people for Covid tests! Stay away! They charged me $25 EACH when they're usually that or less for a pack of 2!!. Didn't even come in a box and when I got home I opened the instructions and they were half photo copied instructions. Tells me they're splitting kits and more than double charging. Honestly this place shouldn't even get 1 Star but I can't give less. **an hour after posting this we received a call to pick up the meds** *TLDR - If you're on pain meds find a different pharmacy. The first thing I am going to say is I understand there is a pandemic right now. However Pandemic or not this does not give a place of business the right to treat people badly, and if this were this very first time this has happened I would blame the pandemic and move on but it's not the first time, so here I am. We waited a couple hours after dropping off the script and hadn't heard anything, when we called to inquire we were ORDERED very rudely to not call them, they told us they will call us when they get the meds. A week later we call again after not hearing anything and they tell us again they don't have it and they will call when they get it. After we told the lady on the phone that the Prescription was due a week ago she then told us they actually had the meds in stock last week but they ran out again before getting to us. It is Wednesday and we still have no update on the meds. Please save yourself the trouble and find a different pharmacy if your on pain meds. read more

This goes to Camille for being rude,condescending & needs to learn to treat people with RESPECT. This happened after a new owner took over. A patient calls in to get meds filled which are pain meds, she told you also need a none pain medication we can't fill them, Camille says you don't like it go somewhere else, now Camille believes you can't go anywhere else, being belittle to people has consequences ran across this at another pharm 6 years ago, a little pharmacy, so this is common but, not ordered. So the way Camille treated the patient I called & was soft spoken but, I questioned her over & over, and the fruden slip happened its for if we get audit. Now here's what you can do, contact your insurance provider & see if you can go through them to get your medications, it's cheaper & you get your medications delivered on time. They were very busy and not answering their phone, so after a recommendation, I drove there and waited about 15 minutes for help that I wasn't able to get. For some strange reason, they have a policy that you need a prescription for replacement nebulizer tubing. Tried to support local independent business and they refused to sell me something that does not need a prescription. There are many available on Amazon without. I was in need of the tubing right away, so I called another local independent pharmacy. They confirmed that no prescription was required by them and that they were in stock. I was in and out in less than 2 minutes for less than $3. read more

There were only 2 customers in the store when i arrived. I had to wait 45 minutes for my prescriptions that they received the morning on the day before. I am disappointed at how quickly the quality of service at Burn's Pharmacy has gone down since a new owner took over in June 2020. We were told they would no longer fill my elderly mother's prescriptions because she uses another pharmacy for some of her prescriptions. The owner's official reason for this decision is because it affects their monthly "numbers" in reference to certain narcotics. What happened to serving the community? What happened to caring for the patient? It sounds to me as if this business is choosing it's customers it's willing to serve over building ties in within the Antelope Valley. Burns Prescription Pharmacy - Extremely bare! - Medical Supplies Near Me - Lancaster, California

When I tried to get my monthly prescription, I could not get it because the prior authorization had run out. I contacted the doctor's office and they arraigned a one month override while we got the authorization straightened out. The doctor's office contacted Burns and told them to contact the insurance helpdesk to get the authorization codes, they even gave them the phone number. Burn's refused to do so, they said it wasn't their job. We ended up transferring the prescription to Walgreens, who understood that it is a pharmacy's job to get authorization codes. read more

Have been to almost every pharmacy in the AV and have had to jump around when the others don't have the quantity or carry a particular medication. I was referred to Burns and they have been great. Not only have they have they been able to fill my prescriptions, but I have recently had MAJOR issues with my insurance and Burns has gone the extra mile to sort it out with them and get me taken care of. Ripping people off on Covid tests. Bought 4 of them and they charged over 25.00 a piece. They were not in the boxes so this leads me to believe they are open the kits and overpricing them!!!! You can get most kits for around 10.00. Shame on you for taking advantage of this situation!!!! read more

Had major surgery Friday in Pasadena and came home yesterday. Burns is the ony pharmacy that had meds in stock-in all of AV. They refused to fill prescpion in av since doctor is not local. I lay in bed all day-in major pain, wth no compasion beause of a company policy! Thnks burns for making ptient a priority. Still in pain from my surgery, I found myself on the phone all day trying to find a back up plan which was not real good timing considering the pain I was in. I needed adjustable legs for my wheelchair so I went to Burns to keep the money in our town. I was told they would be delivered by Friday, a week and a half ago. Friday I get a call and now they are are back ordered I will now get them on Aug.7. Well today is Aug. 7 and I call now they say they have no idea when they will be in. Had I known this from the beginning I would have went online and purchased them and had them in 3 days. I can not leave my house until I receive them my legs need to be up they can not hang down. This is one of those great small-town, old-fashioned pharmacies that you don't see much of anymore. They have all those cool old-time salve's and medications with names like "Grandpa Caleb's Throat Tonic." Despite some recent modernization, you'll still see Old Man Burns (but don't call him that, he hates it) on a slow weekday sitting on a wooden stool behind the counter ready to give you curt, no-nonsense advice about what you might need. They wouldn't take the cheaper of my two insurances, even though they accept both, causing me to pay even more out-of-pocket. When asked to speak with staff management, they create bountiful excuses as to why you cannot contact them. My family used to go here for years prior, yet their last 3 years of service and business etiquette have been an immense disaster. I really love those old-time American pharmacies, and for decades have used Burns when I was in downtown Lancaster. What I don't like now when going in there are the bare, empty shelves which make the place look a bit like it's going out of business--and I doubt that's the case given the number of people I've seen in there. I do think the shelf stocking and selection could be better and something surely can be done to warm the ambience back up again. Do not get the rapid COVID antigen test here if you need it for travel. Airlines will not accept it, as the results look very unofficial and like anybody could have printed it out. I asked beforehand if I could use what they gave for travel and was told yes. Also, many workers here without masks and very unprofessional. read more

I have been a customer for the last 9 years. During that time there have been several errors made by this pharmacy. I have received double the amount of a medication one one occasion then a few months later I was shorted the same prescription by 1/2. Within the last month I discovered two different pills in the same bottle. They have also been unable or unwilling to fill a prescription that has been prescribed and filled by them since 2014. They first told me the medication was unavailable currently. I waited 3 weeks calling weekly and was told they still couldn't fill it and that I should go somewhere else. That is exactly what I have done. I am employed in the medical field and have told my employer and colleagues not to use this pharmacy. read more

With opioid problem there are very few places to get your prescriptions filled. My dr only does paperless prescriptions and they unfortunately take them. They had my prescription since Wednesday and today is Monday I went in to pick up both my prescriptions and since one was Valium because I'm having a procedure today I called them and spoke to the pharmacist who advised me they had all my medications in and to come pick them up because they didn't know how long they would have them in stock. I ran over there to only be rudely told they don't have it. I advised them that I spoke to this person here at the establishment and was advised that they didn't have it and they are waiting for their supplier I expressed how very important it was and it was that I get these medicines before 11 because I was having a procedure done she advise me to maybe cancel it because it was Monday and they have a lot of prescriptions to fill. AGAIN THEY HAVE HAD MY PRESCRIPTION SINCE LAST WEDNESDAY maybe they should re think about being closed all weekend. And training their staff to be a little more compassionate. I have reached the last straw with your operation.....particularly with your employees. I have asked for prescriptions to be held for pickup and had them delivered when I was not home to receive them so they were restocked and I had to go through the process all over again, I had a prescription refused because one little mark at the end of my birthdate was a little squiggly. Totally absurd. It was a Friday and if my doctor had not been close by, I would have been in pain for three days. Another clerk demanded ID for me to use a debit card to purchase a box of alcohol swabs. A first. Ridiculous. Another clerk couldn't tell me if you carry the lancets I needed even though I had the box with me. Now you will no longer fill my diabetic supplies prescriptions under my current insurance. I have been mocked and laughed at by your employees because of my anger and impatience. Today I used Burns Pharmacy. Upon arriving I noticed man complaining about his meds that he seemed to have misplaced. The gentleman at the counter Brent went and sat with this customer and tried so hard to help him and understand him due to the man's speech impairment...Brent was so patient with him and never once lots interest in helping him find a solution to his missing inhaler...I have never seen such a young man like Brent, so caring and concern!! It was so awesome, he was not giving up on this poor man. I don't know if he was able to resolve the problem but by the look of things , Brent wasn't holding back!!
