With a faulty inner tube that needed immediate attention, Kickstand Cycles came through with flying colors, providing top-notch service, incredible efficiency, and an unbeatable price. First and foremost, I was impressed by the speed at which they attended to my bike. I called them on very short notice, and they managed to fit me in right away, without any hesitation. Upon arrival, the team at Kickstand Cycles greeted me warmly, showing genuine concern for my bike's issue and assuring me they'd take care of it. The staff's expertise was evident as they skillfully replaced the faulty inner tube with a new one, and even went the extra mile to provide me with the old tube, complete with a new valve stem. This thoughtful gesture allowed me to understand the root cause of the problem and gave me the peace of mind that my bike was in capable hands. What impressed me most was their commitment to providing excellent service at a very reasonable price. I had heard horror stories about other bike shops overcharging for simple repairs, but Kickstand Cycles demonstrated integrity and transparency. They didn't try to upsell unnecessary parts or services, which made the entire experience even more satisfying. Moreover, the team at Kickstand Cycles was incredibly friendly and approachable, willing to answer any questions I had about bike maintenance and tips to avoid similar issues in the future. Their passion for cycling was evident in the way they spoke about bikes and their genuine desire to ensure my biking experience was nothing short of fantastic. In conclusion, I can't recommend Kickstand Cycles enough for their exceptional service. They took a potentially stressful situation and turned it into a positive experience. I bought my Rad 3 bike from Kickstand Bicycle Shop and paid for it in full 403 days ago…read more More than a year later, they still have a key that belongs with the bike I purchased. Their solution? They told me I either need to come into the shop and physically pick it up or pay them to ship it to me approximately 10 miles across town. Here's the part that makes that especially ridiculous: I have already gone to their shop FOUR TIMES, and they did not have the key available for me on any of those visits. So after four wasted trips, I called the shop. Instead of simply acknowledging the problem and finding a reasonable solution, the employee repeatedly talked over me and argued with me, insisting that I would have to pay to have the key mailed. When I questioned why I should have to pay additional money to receive something that was supposed to be part of a bike I had already paid for in full, I was told, "That's store policy." So I asked what I thought was a pretty obvious question: Was it also store policy not to give the customer the complete purchase when they bought it, and then charge the customer to receive the missing piece when the store eventually "found" it? Apparently, I'm expected to accept that explanation. Let's recap: I paid for the bike in full 403 days ago. The key should have been provided with my purchase. I have already traveled to their shop four separate times, and they didn't have it. They have now "found" the key, but instead of correcting their mistake by mailing it approximately 10 miles, they insist that I either make a fifth trip or pay them more money. This is a bicycle key. It weighs practically nothing. Put it in an envelope, add postage, and mail it to the customer whose property you have been holding for more than a year. What makes this worse is the attitude. Mistakes happen. A business can lose something, find it later, apologize, and fix the problem. That would have been the end of it. Instead, Kickstand Bicycle Shop managed to turn a missing bicycle key into a 403-day ordeal involving four unsuccessful trips, an argumentative phone call, and a demand that I pay additional money to correct their mistake. "Store policy" is not a magic phrase that makes unreasonable customer service reasonable. I paid for the entire bike. I should have received the entire purchase. After this experience, I would have a very difficult time recommending Kickstand Bicycle Shop.
