    chicken burrito

This was my second time ordering from Burrito Bandidos and i'd like to cover both experiences as there were some notable differences. The first time i had the steak and chicken burrito...the burrito itself was ok but what really stood out was the hot sauce! As i have mentioned in other reviews, i am a heat seeker and have hot sauces up to 6 million SHU at home...and i can say this hot sauce was legit!!! Clearly hotter than most other burrito places out there. In fact it was the hot sauce that inspired my second order today. And herein lies my disappointment. As you can see in the comparison pic i created, the sauces are clearly different...last time it had a green tinge whereas this time it was clearly orange. Yes, it was still hot but not at the same level as last time. Perhaps some people complained and they watered it down? i dont know that for sure but i have seen it happen at other places. On the plus side, the chicken burrito was much better than the one i had last time. For the sake of comparison, i included virtually the same ingredients as last time (I think i left out green peppers) so it must be the meat, Will i order form them again? Not sure. Ultimately it is easier for me to find a good burrito than it is to find a hot sauce that is hot enough for me and i am sad to see one less option.

Banditos has opened another location. This is both good and bad. It's good because maybe it will force Chino Loco's to up their game as they were really the only burrito place in the area until now. This is bad because Burrito Bandito's food is mediocre. Because BB's chicken has no flavour and they don't offer a good pork solution, I decided to try the steak and shrimp. I got everything except cilantro and asked for extra hot sauce because I like hot food. The burrito however was not hot. The flavour though was better than previous BB's burritos I've tried and came in at completely average. As per other BB's locations they over grill the burrito so that the tortilla cracks and makes a mess. Also keeping with tradition, the person making your burrito asks what you want on your burrito but then ignores what you said and makes the burrito as fast as possible without putting any thought behind it. Two of my friends I was with got things on their burritos that they specifically said they didn't want. Now that I think about, it I'm surprised that my burrito was correct. Though I did say three times that I didn't want cilantro on it. I guess you just have to watch them like a hawk and repeat yourself until they get it. If you like mediocre food this is the place for you to go.

It's a nice little Burrito place on Queen ST. E near the beaches. Ingredients are fresh. The place is clean and well maintained and the stuff are friendly. The prices are a little higher than in other Burrito paces we visited in Toronto, but they don't charge extra for guacamole and the quality of food is very good. You can park at the nearby LCBO (same side, few buildings east) or at the parking lot across the street, behind the movie theater. I ordered small shrimp & Chicken burrito ($7.96), and it was very well done. My husband had a large halibut burrito ($10.90) . I would recommend this place if you like Mexican.

Two stars lost for the person cooking (not the one at the counter) not properly wearing her mask and breathing in my food.

Why go here when Fat Bastard burritos are so much better and the guac is free. You don't need to settle for 2nd best.

Extremely slow service. Waited 30 mins for two orders. Will not come back again. Worst burrito place in town.

When I went to the basement washroom, I swear I saw what looked like the end of a mouse's tail sticking out from under the door. Needless to say, I completely lost my appetite. When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him honestly that it was terrible. I had only taken two bites, and there was really no response. I wouldn't have wanted a replacement anyway after that experience. I also had some fruit bites, and about 10 minutes later my stomach started gurgling. By the time I got home, I felt awful. I was shivering, felt like I was going to throw up, and had to rush to the bathroom. It honestly felt like food poisoning. And I still paid for my meal Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.

The place is a bit small so it can be a bit tight so I would highly recommend having reservations if you have a large group. Tacos: The soft and the crispy tacos were both delicious. The tinga chicken and the beef barbacoa were juicy and full of flavour. The portions was fair, the quality was a standout and tasted quite authentic. Overall, I really had a great experience at Playa Cabana, totally would come here again to try out their other dishes.

The bluefin tuna was pristine, buttery, and incredibly fresh, while the char-grilled octopus was perfectly tender with a beautiful smoky depth of flavor. The standout for me was the hanger steak, cooked beautifully and paired with a rich peppercorn sauce that elevated every bite. Beyond the outstanding food, the service was impeccable--attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced without ever feeling intrusive. Quetzal is a Michelin star experience that lives up to the acclaim, delivering bold flavors, refined execution, and genuine hospitality. We got lucky and they were able to squeeze us into seats at the bar area, which ended up being the best possible spot because we had a front-row view of the live fire cooking the entire night. The ambiance was lively and hip, with a great energy that made the whole experience feel exciting. This was my first time watching each main courses get cooked over live fire in real time, which added to our amazement given that all the dishes came out cooked to the right doneness. Every bite of meat and seafood was perfectly kissed with flame -- the char, the subtle smoke, the texture. Beyond the fire element, you can really taste how fresh everything is. Nothing felt heavy or muddled. Each dish was well thought out with balanced flavors, but the ingredients and that fire/smoke magic were always the main event. Service was also superb. All the staff were attentive and high-energy. Different servers checked up on us throughout the meal, our water was always kept full, and dishes were cleared in a timely manner. Only drawback: the heat. Sitting by the fire is incredible for the show, but it definitely started to feel like a sauna at times. Still, I'd do it again and choose to sit at the bar without hesitation. If you're in Toronto and you love a tasting menu, this is a must. Just make sure you book at least a month in advance - it's popular for a reason.
