Spicy ranch burrito
Brittany K.

The spicy ranch burrito tastes ok, but it's basically one medium chicken tender with a few spoons of rice and lettuce inside a tortilla for $10.

Front counter where you place your order

Fast food Mexican - same as Chipotle- or Moe's Southwest Grille, but not as good. . Burritos, tacos, salads, etc. We had two Chicken tacos ($7.58), a Spicy Ranch Burrito ($6.99) and a Thai Burrito ($6.99). Small side orders of chips are $0.99. You order at the front counter, and when they call your number, you pick up at a side counter. When they called our number, I noticed I didnt have the iced tea I ordered, the server, said - "I think it's up there" - pointing to a ledge near the front counter. It would have been nice if the cashier pointed it out to me originally. The food was average- nothing special or spectacular. The burritos were OK- my Thai Burrito seemed to have a lot of lettuce and carrot in it. The tacos were kind of flimsy and fell apart when picked up. They were served with a teeny tiny ribbon of sour cream, and when we asked for more, we were told "that's extra". Yeah -nice customer service for a family that just spent $27. The salsa bar is a nice feature- one tame and one zippy salsa with add-ins of onion, cilantro, and chopped jalapeno avalable. The store was pretty clean, we saw multiple workers on the dining floor, sweeping the floor and wiping tables. All in all- barely OK in an average Cape Cod way, I doubt we'll be back

A rock I found in my burrito.

Weird coffee-mex place in a Hyannis strip-mall. Think Chipotle meets Starbucks. But not as good. Clean and chic decor, comfy booths.

Once inside, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server, Meghan, who brought chilled water and took our drink orders: a Dos Equis Lager and a Down East Cider. A generous basket of chips and salsa followed -- crisp, flavorful, and just the right start. For lunch, we each ordered the Tres Tacos: Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Pollo Elotes. Each taco was distinct and delicious, with house-made spicy pickles adding a perfect kick. Meghan was attentive and knowledgeable, gracefully assisting other tables while making us feel well cared for. The interior was warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed -- a lovely place to linger. We're already looking forward to returning when it's warm to dine beneath that magnificent tree.

When we arrived 15 minutes early, we were told there were no reservations for tonight because it was cinco de mayo. I received no notice or information related to the cancellation, and now I'm being told there is nothing that can be done. This hostess claimed we'd have to wait 35 minutes to be seated. We asked to speak to the manager, and she tried to tell us that it wasn't possible. ZERO help for an issue that was 110% their fault. Thankfully, there were two seats at the bar that just opened up, so we sat there in hopes of rekindling the evening. The counter was disgusting but it was our only choice. After 15 minutes of sitting at a dirty counter and not being served or checked on once, we got up and left. What a terrible experience on our honeymoon. Sure, it was packed, but that gives a business no right to provide terrible service. If you want to make a reservation that means nothing to enjoy a dirty bar, bad service, and incompetent staff - this is the place to go. Wish I could give zero stars.

The tiny back bar looked nicely private and more quiet. Our server, Doug, was fantastic, he set the stage for a nice experience by being friendly and very attentive. He made good recommendations describing each drink and dish helping me order well. The menu is large on choices and today Is taco Tuesday and they offer an additional menu at $14.95 and a mini margarita for $7.95. I ordered off this tonight. Birria beef tacos that came with 2 small flour tortillas (not fried as I was informed in advance) but filled generously full of delicious seasoned beef. It included & a thick consommé sauce for dunking & only one side choice, I had refried beans, all was very nicely flavored and the dipping was rich n tasty. I started with the $7.95 margarita but it was pretty good but petite and it looked more fancy advertised than it was. (Don't take the straw offered or it's gone in 4 sips ) The regular version margarita was much more satisfying and tequila selection is vast. My friends enjoyed the coconut margaritas with coconuty toasted rim and pineapple wedge. For dessert we shared the decadent Raspberry Cheesecake chimi $8.50 with a chocolate fudge sauce. Like a too sweet n' rich kids pop tart, we laughed together and ate it all up! I know this is not gourmet cuisine or even that good of a representation of Mexican food, but I enjoyed it. They tried hard with whimsical decor and seem to always have a crowd.

The…read morebluefish pate itself was good, but rather on the salty side, so serving it with salt and vinegar chips made it pretty much inedibly salty (this was taken off the bill when the bartender noticed we didn't eat more than one bite each). My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

When I couldn't decide on a cocktail, Sandra readily recommended the Grapefruit Martini -- it was delicious and totally the right call, Hubby's Tito's Cosmo was also well-made. For dinner, Hubby had the Chicken Parm - it was enormous and delicious, chicken was cooked well and the homemade pasta was a perfect al dente. The sauce was very good, but there was too much cheese for his taste, an easy fix to move to the side. There was plenty to take home for a second meal so it was an even better value. I chose the Spinach Salad, which was fresh and tasty with artichokes and goat cheese. Again, it was a generous portion for a very good price. We rarely indulge in dessert but we were convinced to try the homemade Tiramisu and it was amazing, just the way I make it myself. It's very hard to find a Tiramisu that is so authentic. We absolutely recommend Tumi, based on our experience it would be had to make a bad decision from their menu.
