Once inside, we were promptly seated and greeted by our server, Meghan, who brought chilled water and took our drink orders: a Dos Equis Lager and a Down East Cider. A generous basket of chips and salsa followed -- crisp, flavorful, and just the right start. For lunch, we each ordered the Tres Tacos: Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Pollo Elotes. Each taco was distinct and delicious, with house-made spicy pickles adding a perfect kick. Meghan was attentive and knowledgeable, gracefully assisting other tables while making us feel well cared for. The interior was warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed -- a lovely place to linger. We're already looking forward to returning when it's warm to dine beneath that magnificent tree.

This is a really appealing, intimate, mom and pop (and summer help waitress) place. The hostess/ front of house boss, who was operating from the bar of this 10-12 table location, was gracious and endearing (in the way that an almost overbearing host can be- that meant as a compliment). The drinks took a minute, my fiancé's salad needed blue cheese brought out as it was left off (single most off-putting thing: the waitress, I suspect language mastery being the cause of this rather than malice or willful deceit, flat out told her that blue cheese did not come with the wedge salad...but when boss lady at the bar was asked, this was quickly corrected), there was a heavy does of reggae music. All of this less than optimal. The food was very good, though I can't remember off the top of my head what I had (it's been a month). Nor did I take pics: it seemed like it'd detract from the experience. There weren't any complaints about the food from others. (So I went back and looked at the menu: potstickers as an app- pretty good; baked local seafood as the main- good, but it is what it is in that not a ton of nuance added so as to let the seafood do the talking. The portion was decent for the price. I didn't leave stuffed, but for $38, very reasonable.) All in all, the first visit merits a second visit next year (as the website says they are temporarily closed to seek new management).

I always eat a meat burrito and it is cooked to perfection for me. Not too runny, not too cooked. The people that work here are super nice and fun to talk to.
