First place we tried in town. Delicious, quick, filling. Got the burrito grande house special. Filled up me and my wife.

The fact that this is the only Mexican food place in the area west of Main St. in Weber County is a factor in my review. If it were in Salt Lake City, or the middle of Ogden I would probably give it three stars. It's pretty average. I will say that their beans, cheese, tortillas, and rice are very good. They seem to be fresh, and the temperature of the food is usually spot on. The enchiladas are good also. The fried tacos are not the best, and the street tacos aren't as good as the ones on the "street." Their complementary green salsa and chips are pretty good too, but I'd like to see more salsa choices. The green salsa is very mild, which probably appeals to the majority of patrons, but some of us would like a little more spice. To make up for this they serve a red sauce, but it's got kind of a smoky paprika flavor, or black pepper flavor, and not the yummy cilantro pico de gallo flavor that many red salsas have. When I order food there I try to order a side of jalapeños and maybe some pico de gallo in order to satisfy those particular flavor profiles... gotta be creative! I go here now and then with no real complaints. It's a solid Mexican Restaurant, and yes, they serve Mexican beers with lime! Yum! read more

This place is the most dishonest management I have ever delt with. We left our phone at our table, when we went back after pinging the phone, they lied to our face that the phone was not there. After we called the phone from inside, it rang behind their counter. We finally got our phone back, they lost a weekly customer for good. read more

Night and Day.....huge disappointment. Should have had a clue when young lady answered phone with hello and not....Burrito Grande.....I had to ask if I called right number... Ordered 2-Entree meals..... Chicken Enchiladas meal and chili releno enchiladas..... My husband went to pick the order up and the gal was "clueless".....screwed up the order big time! Got the food home....OmG.....it looked like dog food! Smelled horrible.....we refused to eat it. Not even enchilada sauce....some strange orange liquid........ Didn't want to bring food back....not worth the trouble...... Such a different experience almost a year ago, the food was great! This time was an EPIC FAILURE.... This is my favorite place to go to Mexican food. I go all the time. I love the enchiladas. The chimichanga is really yummy too.

I ordered the Cheese Enchilada/Chili Relleno dinner with rice and beans. The rice was OK, a little bland. The beans were also lacking salt. The chili relleno was a little different, but the enchilada was a total waste. Made with some kind of fake flour tortilla. Also had Taco with stewed beef. So the hard crispy Taco was totally a soggy mess. Really great customer service however. read more

This is one the best little hole-in-the wall Mexican restaurants in Utah. The flavors of Mexican home-cookin' come through. Try Lulu's carnitas, and you'll see what I mean. I ordered a custom burrito with potatoes, guacamole, and pico. They only charged me a little over five dollars for it. I got it to go and they also included hot sauce and a fork and napkin without me having to ask for them. The burrito was delicious. I highly recommend them. read more

Ordered 2 D20's cheese only thru drive thru asked 3 times if I could haven them with cheese only they said yes I asked yet again when I got them at the drive thru when I stated that I do not eat meat and if they was cheese only they said yes I drove home 18 min one way to find meat in my food had to drive back another 18min for a total of 32min drive to explain that I asked for cheese only for them to have a very hard time understanding that they had the wrong order the first time til they finally said they would remake the orders I guess even if you ask several times if your order is correct you must still check your order before you leave since asking several times is not enough to get what you order Only to get home to find that the food isn't very good anyhow but i guess overpaying 15 bucks for cheese only enchiladas not to expect much unless you are Used to settling for anything less good luck read more

I have been to many Mexican restaurants in the Northern Utah area and this is by far the best. Everything is cooked fresh at order. The salsa is fantastic, I have had to box up most of my food because of eating too much chips and salsa. I love their horchata. Whether or not the restaurant is packed or there are just few patrons, service is prompt, courteous and very helpful. There have been a few times where my waitress and I had a language barrier but even if my food was not right it tasted great. There were a few reviews that I noticed prior to posting this one that I wanted to address. Burrito Grande only has a Roy location, the restaurant in Clearfield that was mentioned was most likely El Burrito. Also I do not believe Burrito Grande has a drive through that functions, the building it is in originally had a drive through. read more

Food was good. I don't care for very spicy food but the chips and salsa had more spice then the meal. They need to add a little spice maybe just enough to bead a little sweat on my forehead. We will definitely go back. read more

Awful food, awful service. First off, I asked what was in the mixed burrito and our server responded with "umm I don't know, you could try it." I am a server myself and if I get a question I don't know the answer to I go find out, it's part of customer service. My mother ordered a torta and five minutes later our server comes back and says they're out, so she got the chille verde burrito and it came out way too quick to be fresh and looked like vomit (not kidding). We didn't get checked on once, I was out of water for a while, and ended up having to get up to give her the credit card and get boxes, only to find her and the other employees eating and talking in another room. If you're in any sort of customer service, this is not how you get people to come back. Very disappointed. read more

I'm actually really shock that this place as as low as stars it does. I have been going here for years and love it. Even though they don't advertise vegan options as long as you don't get dairy such as cheese and sour cream anything with out meat is pretty much game on and is amazing. read more

Bad experience. Went with my friend for margaritas and chips & queso on a Tuesday night. The waiter said he "didn't even know what queso was" and came back with a cupful of shredded cheese. We asked him about drink specials and he came back and told us "he got bitched at for asking about specials and they had none". Ended up getting some guacamole nachos. Guacamole wasn't fresh, margaritas were purely sweet and sour mix and they pressured us to leave at 9:30 even though they didn't close until 10. Won't be coming back. read more

We went to the Clearfield location, not Roy, but will never go again to either. It cost me $50 in the drive thru for four meals without drinks. I would have spent that happily if the food had been good, but sadly it was horrible. The only good thing I can say is that the girl running the drive thru was very nice. read more

I'm not a picky eater, especially when it comes to Mexican food and this place sucked! It was salty and the child verde which has never been awful anywhere I've been before...was absolutely disgusting. Nothing tastes right and the service sucks. I waited for 5 minutes before anyone came up to me and it was a child that was helping out I guess. It wasn't even busy, it hardly ever is...now I know why. read more

This place was great. My husband and I decided to try it out because we don't love most of the Mexican restaurants in this area. Javier's is way too bland for us and Garcias is a little to Americanized for our tastes. We went in not knowing what to expect, and we both loved it. The flavors were great! I highly recommend the Chili Verde. It was awesome. The prices were just average as well. Expect to pay between $5-10 for an entree. I think I got the smothered beef burrito with rice and beans and it was $6.50. The only thing that I didn't care for as much was the salsa. They serve a mild green salsa and a really hot red salsa. I wish they had a more mild red salsa, which is what I like best. My husband really liked their salsas though. Regardless, we will return! read more

My husband and I returned with much anticipation for a repeat of good Mexican food. We are changing our story. We went last night again to the Clearfield location and ordered the same entrees as before. We were dismayed with our food, to say the least. The rice and beans were very watery. The chips were burnt, though the salsa was fresh. The Chile Relleno couldn't even be cut with a knife and the sauce was watered down. We spoke with our very attentive server about it. He talked with the manager who said they couldn't be responsible for the quality of their food as the rellenos were preprepared and they just heated them up. No offer of replacing it with a new serving, no visit by the manager to apologize, just an "oh,well" and the server handed us the check. When the cashier asked how our meal was, we again told her of our problem and she said she would tell the manager. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My family and I have been coming here for years. I love their carne asada, chimichangas, chile verde, enchiladas, everything they cook is good. Not to mention it's a clean restaurant and it's family owed. Some of the negative reviews are not really helpful. If you don't like the price don't go during dinner, just go during their lunch hour where lunch is only $5.75. Since its a family owed restaurant you always see the owners managing the restaurant and if your not satisfy with the waitress let the owners know they take pride in their service. read more
