However, we came out to try their breakfast burritos at 2:25 on a Saturday and the employees said breakfast was only served until 3:00 PM on Saturdays. We pointed out that it was only 2:30 and the employ kept repeating that there was no breakfast available. I used to LOVE Burrito Jimmy - so much better than Chipotle. I hadn't been in a few months since our office moved, so I was excited to go back today. VERY disappointing. All new people and skimpy portions of everything (for a higher price). My bowl to-go used to be full - today it barely came halfway up the container. And they now charge if you want more than a tiny salsa on the side, when they used to give you a larger one for free. The young lady who made my order said it's under new management. Went there for breakfast this morning and didn't eat my breakfast bowl until I got to work. While eating it, I found straight black hair in my food after a couple of bites. It wasn't my hair because mine is red and curly. Not to mention, I was wearing a hat today. I called to inform them of it because I had to throw my food away. I called 3 times. There was no answer. At first, I really enjoyed my breakfast taco from Burrito Jimmy. I ordered the same taco for months (bacon, jalepenos, pica). All of a sudden this one guy started helping me and my experience went down hill fast. He is not friendly, has never smiled during helping me, and gets an attitude when I ask him to put my bacon on the grill so it is crispy. (No, this is not a normal request of mine when i order tacos, however, the container full of bacon always looks raw.) I've said to myself for weeks that I was going to stop going to Burrito Jimmy since the guy has a problem with me asking for my bacon to be cooked. Well, today was my last day. My coworker was with me (as always) and "he" asked the young lady helping us if he could have his bacon put on the grill so it would be crispy. The awful GUY flew in from the back as soon my coworker's order was stated and put EGG on the grill first, then poured our bacon over it which of course means the bacon didn't cook and crisp up. I get back to the office and couldn't eat the taco with the barely cooked bacon. My co workers and I have decided not to go back....If you go, make sure you do not ask for crispy or (cooked) bacon. I'm just perplexed as to why this guy would have a problem fixing an item the way a customer wants it. A customer who comes so frequently, she shouldn't have to ask anymore, it should be known. I have never actually been here. Our office often orders from Burrito Jimmy and then someone goes and picks it up. Burrito Jimmy is an office favorite for breakfast burritos! You can fax in or call in your order and there are a lot of options. The portions are huge. Usually when we have Burrito Jimmy for breakfast there is no lunch that day because we are still full. Well, obviously it's a burrito place (similar to Chipotle). But Jimmy has QUESO! You can have your burrito smothered in salsa and/or queso for the same price as a regular burrito. They also steam the burritos, melting the cheese and making the tortilla soft (hard tortillas are sometimes an issue at Chipotle). Can't wait to try breakfast one day! read more

Nice little joint kinds in the spirit of Chipotle, but this place is better. They had a variety of tortillas, spinach, jalapeno, plain and tomato. They also had a choice of meats, pork chicken or brisket. and the sauce were also a nice addition I had the queso sauce on my burrito and it was good. I saw a sign that said they serve breakfast as well. The only reason they don't get 4 stars from me is because they were a little skimpy on the meat for me and that is a big thing in my reviews to win me over just pile on the meat. read more

I went in to try the nachos but did not like the bean they use so I ordered tacos instead. I had 3 SOGGY tacos for lunch and ate them with a fork and knife. This place was really good. Similar to other burrito chains but I liked this much better. All of the ingredients as good flavor but what made this experience better than others is their process of building the burrito. Instead of pressing the tortilla on a flat top press, Burrito Jimmy loads all proteins on it first then sticks it in a steamer that softens the tortilla awesomely. Jimmy's is outstanding. Like their burrito competition, you get lots of choices. Not as many choices as the big guys but they more than make up for that with quality and such friendly service. The best food i've had since I've moved to Irving, quick and friendly service. Smothered pulled pork burrito is the way to go.

They steam the entire burrito verse only the tortilla like some of the other burrito joints do. One thing they did different that I liked was that they smother the burrito if you want. One of the down sides is that the facility is to small for the way they have it laid out right now. They tried to cram to many tables into a small dinning room. This place is good at what it does. Had lunch here with the GF a few weeks back. She raves about the place, and goes here usually at least once a week. She'd give it a 5. Decor is very much like the other BYOB (Build your own bowl/burrito) joints. They do a good job setting themselves apart from the Chipotle and Freebirds in the taste department. Seems like they took the best of both worlds from each (Different flavor tortillas, bowls, etc.)and added their own twist (Sauces). It's by no means authentic Mexican fare. If thats what you're looking for, stick to the taquerias. Prices aren't outrageous. (Solid.) read more

The lunch menu is a cross between Chipotle and Freebirds. It's an excellent burrito with plenty of topping choices. Where Burrito Jimmys shines is the breakfast menu. Poor service, Asked for 3 items.. Onions, sour cream, and hash browns.. 2 of those I had to ask twice and the hash browns never showed up. I have to confess that I eat here at least once per week. The burritos are huge and the ingredients are always fresh (I love the "brisket" seasoning, it's just... excellent!). They have smothered burritos which is a huge difference with Chipotle or Freebirds, they have different veggie options as well so that's good for the vegetarian people out there. Been here twice for breakfast and it was good both times. I get a small breakfast burrito and tater tots and it was about $5.90 I believe. They put a lot of food in the burrito. It's so stuffed that they can't roll the tortilla. Tastes pretty good and the veggies look fresh, but needs more flavor. read more
