Best burrito i ever had , service is great and they are quick , I come here every chance I get

It's been awhile since I been here and the set up was a bit different. I got the three taco plate right under $10 not including tax. They should make it a combo with drink in my opinion. I got two carnesada and one brisket with added cucumber and squash (extra charge) topped off with hot salsa. Just be careful because the spice does have a kick. There's only two employees, but they were fast and efficient. Overall I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return. Oh they do open early. So that's a plus with no lunch rush.

Burrito Jimmy, what happened?! My old office was a short distance away and it was quite good. Standards seem to have dropped drastically. I ordered a small burrito with a side of chips and salsa and a drink. I'm not going to dink them any points for sending me a Coke instead of the orange juice I asked for. Restaurants may run short of drinks stocks once in a while and it doesn't make sense to keep updating their offerings. What I cannot forgive is the quality of their namesake, the burrito. Starting off with the tortilla itself (I asked for wheat), it was soft and bordering on soggy. It wouldn't have been had it at least hit the grill for a few more minutes and allowed to create a nice crisp middle. I asked for lime cilantro rice, black beans, cilantro, jalapeno and chicken for the filling. Very skimpy on the chicken, rice was overdone (bordering on mushy), the jalapenos didn't add any heat at all and the filling was overall bland, lacking any salt. The tortilla was breaking apart and it was impossible to hold the filling in, it just...disintegrated in my hands. I would've gone for the minimum score hadn't their salsas (both red and green) come to the rescue. Burrito Jimmy, I'm very disappointed and I'd be hard pressed to attempt to try the food again.

A great alternative to Chipotle and Freebirds. The small burrito is the perfect size for lunch, and never leaves you feeling too full. I think they were understaffed today because the trash was overflowing but every other time I've been here this hasn't been a problem. Breakfast the entire day is also a big plus.

Burrito Jimmy's is another take on your traditional burrito and or taco stand. Burrito Jimmy's differentiated themselves from places like Freebirds, Chiplotle, Taco Cabana by offering an all day breakfast menu. Burrito Jimmy's has a very simple menu of breakfast tacos, tacos, and quesadillas. Even though the menu is very simple, you have the option of customizing each order and watch them grill your protein and vegetables on the grill. What I had to eat: Chorizo breakfast taco- Chorizo was fresh, and was cooked on the grill. I had the option to add fresh jalenpeos, onions, eggs, cheese, and pico de gallo. Chips and queso: the queso was really yummy, it very light in color almost like queso blanco. The staff was patient as I was deciding my toppings, and asked me about my day and my whereabouts. The decor was contemporary, they had nice photos of New York!

Our server was soooo nice and very chatty which I actually enjoyed tonight. It was nice to talk to him and enjoy their atmosphere. The food is pretty good too just nothing I haven't had before honestly. Still really cute place that I would recommend to people! They have a limited menu so be aware of that, but what they have they do it well. Chicken Fajitas: Doesn't come out smoking hot which I would've wanted but it had great flavor. It was boujee fajitas for sure lol. A bit spicy but I enjoyed that. 8/10 Tacos: a little dry but again had great flavor. 8/10 Queso; tasty but didn't come out super hot, it was kind of clumpy. 6/10 Horchata: omg so good must get 10/10

When we asked the manager about it, he didn't seem to know they changed this. 10/25/25 was 8.25% tax (including alcohol in the order). All recent bills were anywhere from 13% to 16.5% hidden in the "tax" line, not even itemized. I'm sure because they know most won't realize it. This may explain why on a Friday at 5pm (even with a social hour) the bar was empty except for one other couple. Not going to reduce the stars since I like many of the long-timers that work here, but whoever is running the show now should probably re-examine their decisions. #WWFD

We sat at the bar on a Friday afternoon and were greeted by a great bartender named Edgar. He gave us a few recommendations, so we thought we'd go with his suggestions. So happy we listened! The sea bass enchiladas with charbroiled shrimp were fantastic! I absolutely wasn't expecting the depth of flavors. It was an amazing dish for sure. The charbroiled filet mignon was the star of the show however. We were not expecting such a great steak at a Mexican restaurant. The table side charring was perfect! Charred to a perfect medium rare with the right amount of seasonings. If we're ever in Dallas/Irving area...we'd definitely return! Well done.

The inside reminds me of most of the Tex-Mex themed restaurants in Dallas. The FESTIVE colors, chairs & booth seating, bar photos on the wall. Service to the table was nothing exceptional. After scanning the menu, I ordered the trio fajita which is steak, chicken, and shrimp. I wanted to be able to pick my meat combo. I really just wanted the Chicken and Shrimp. Luckily, the Mister was able to eat the beef. They came sizzling! The Chicken was tender and the marinade was not over-powering. The shrimp was cooked but very fishy. I squeezed fresh lemon on it and it pulled out the intended flavor. I was not particularly awed with garnishments. I wanted shredded lettuce and maybe my choice of beans black or pinto. Nonetheless, the overall plate was good and I RECOMMEND for anyone looking for a high protein meal. The chips and dip came out first with both salsa and a bean dip. LOVED the bean dip as a counter to the spicy salsa. They did not have queso blanco but I know this is mostly a lower Mexico to central-America staple.

The manager also came and gave us free beef fajita samples since he found out it was our first time. The flavor and juiciness of the beef blew me away. My wife and I got queso to compliment the complimentary tortilla chips and salsa and bean dips. I was a big fan of the beans too, didn't think I would be. We ended up getting a trio (beef, chicken, shrimp) fajita 1/2 pound and it was perfect for the 2 of us. You can taste the grilled and charred flavor on the meats. The chicken and shrimp were slightly on the drier side but when combined with the sour cream, beans, guac, cheese, they were perfection. For the two people, the limitation ended up being more the toppings to the fajitas but it was just enough. At about $25 for 2, that was a steal. The queso was about $9. Right before we were about to leave, Kayla recommended the tres leches dessert and you know we had to try it. It was solid. Loved the cream on top. Definitely would come back again!

Our cocktails were all good - and the appetizers were very good. We had the crispy pork belly and the tostaditas with barbacoa. The crispy pork belly was especially delicious and I would order as my own dinner in the future. It comes with onions and sauces and corn tortillas and it's to die for - so crispy and flavorful. We ordered the Bistec enchiladas and they were good but not as good as the appetizers. They give you a variety of sauces when you're seated that you keep throughout the meal - from mild to spicy but I would say the "spicy" is on the mild side. Still good and flavorful but not unapproachable for most ppl. We had the Campechana dessert and it was a little strange. It was basically a vanilla Icecream cake with a crispy waffle cone like layering that was really hard to break until it sat a while. It was oddly addicting but also not that good? I can't explain it. We went to the cigar lounge area after dinner and had Mexican espresso martinis and watched football before heading home. There was little smoke smell but very minimal until it got later. Around 8:30 (on a Saturday night) ppl started smoking cigars and they opened the side windows and being 90degrees right now - it became less enjoyable so we decided to end the night. In the fall that room would probably be quite lovely with the windows open. They have comfortable seating and fire pits. Really more of a 4.5 out of 5.
