The service was fast and the guy was super friendly and informative. We ordered quite a lot since it was my father in laws birthday. I got the carne asada tacos and the grilled chicken tacos and a small rice and beans just to try. I usually don't like steak tacos but I wanted to give it a try and it was amazing! Both of the tacos I got were flavorful and filling and they give you quite a bit of meat a long with the toppings. The rice and beans were flavorful as well. They gave us free chips and salsa for the wait. My husband had gotten the chicken nachos and he loved them!! My father in law is a bit more picky and he got the taco duros and he said it was really good and he'd come here again. And the horchata was the best one I've ever had and I've had quite a few. I was recommend this place to all my family and friends for good Mexican when they're craving it!!! I didn't rate this place because it would be a minus star rating. The first time I got sick from eating a burrito I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Yesterday I ordered a super burrito to go. When I cut the burrito in half there was no guacamole or sour cream in it. It was a shredded beef burrito. I called the restaurant and the boy that I had ordered from said that the guacamole and sour cream melted into the burrito and I just can't see it..he offered to give me a little on the side if I drove back there. The taste of the burrito was totally flavorless. No seasoning that I could taste. They gave no chips or anything with it for approx $18.00. The worst part is after eating the second half, within 3 hours, I got terribly sick! I spent hours vomiting and whatever else comes with food poisoning. That's all I had to eat so I'm sure it was the cause... I will NEVER eat there again! To get sick twice is enough for me! read more

This spot is in a little strip mall in Vacaville and has hole in the wall vibe. The guy at the counter was very welcoming and friendly. I ordered 2 carne asada super burritos and a bottle of Mexican Coke with a 15% tip, came out to around $40. I get it, food costs are high but so are my expectations for a super burrito. The size was nice, tortilla was perfect and the filling was fresh and tasty. It came with a red and a green sauce, both were needed because the burrito itself was sort of bland. I would've given a four star except that the ratio of carne asada to the rice beans and lettuce, was pretty light, once again, I get it with the price of beef being so high, but I just feel that the price was too high for what you get. I tried the burrito Palace yesterday for the first time I ended up buying a large burrito supposed to be steak burrito so disappointed. First of all, I don't know what kind of meat they're using for the steak, but it was very weird and it was supposed to have beans and cheese and she said the large one comes with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream when I got home, it was a very large burrito and a very, very thin tortilla, basically filled with meat no lettuce a dollop like less than a teaspoon of sour cream, and one spot in the burrito not even enough to spread around the beans were whole, but there were not very many. It was mostly meat and sauce and I didn't like it. I ate about 1/3 of it and threw the rest away. It cost 1498. I would never ever get that again. There were three girls working behind the counter. They weren't interested in any kind of customer service. They just rang the burrito up at 1498 and put it in a bag. I was just really disappointed. I ended up eating something else for dinner at home. I won't be going there again as far as ambience there's just a counter that you walk up and make an order that's it. read more

The lengua burrito was the worse burrito I've ever had and I LOOOOVE Mexican food. I have never ate at a Mexican restaurant that I didn't like. The lengua was chewy, tasted like it was just boiled without seasoning and had lots of fat in it. The burrito was bland overall. I typically love carne asada but their asada had no flavor (should have listen to a prior Yelp reviewer who noted the same thing). I had to cover it with the red sauce-which was pretty decent. Ok so the place is in need of a makeover but close your eyes and taste their burritos and superb tacos and you will realize that this tiny spot is better than the big name Vacaville spots when it comes to the basic Mexican food offerings. It's sad that a restaurant can have a closing time clearly posted on their door and online but when you get there 30 min before closing an employee at the counter through the locked door says they were closed. I started my dinner adventure at California Burrito. It did not go well in the drive thru. Maybe I caught the young lady on a bad day but it really shouldn't be so difficult to order a daily special. So I left. Anyways... While driving home I realize I still need food for the fam and the closest Mexican spot is burrito palace. What a difference. The young man who helped me and his Grandma who was cooking were just amazingly sweet. He was patient as I wrote out my order to try an make things easier for myself and for him.
