This place is out of this world. I come here at least 3 times a week and I never get tired of it. My two go to dishes are Burrito Canpechana wich is filled with chorizo and beans and Chicken Torta. Don't forget to get your bean and cheese deep because you'll love it and want more. The ambiance is very colorful and the servers super friendly. Don't let the unusual name and appearance deter you. New to the area, we heard good things about Burritos N Ribs from long time residents. We stopped in and enjoyed an early dinner. The Supreme ACP was $1 more than the regular ACP. The small up-charge added mushrooms, tomatoes and green peppers which made the dish extra delicious. I reluctantly dropped the rating by one star for a few reasons. They were out of ribs at 5:30 pm, the ACP did not include tortillas (standard fare in most Mexican restaurants), the sweet tea appeared to be instant, and they do not serve alcohol (margaritas) which disappointed my wife. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back. read more

The chilies rellanos are great, by fat the best i ever had. They also can make any dish with shrimp, although shrimp is not on the menu. The owner will accommodate any request. Great service, the wait staff is always welcoming. read more

This place has good food. The restaurant was clean but a little outdated or old looking. That doesn't make the food bad though. We had tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, and a el pastor burrito and all of this was good. The chips were fresh and salsa not too spicy. It was very busy at the place on a Sunday at lunch. so I was getting a little hangry after too much wheel time, fortunately a sign advertising ribs and burritos promised to remedy that but first I had to negotiate the parking... please be aware that the parking lot thing is a mess: if it was a train it'd be wrecked, if it was a dumpster it'd be on fire, and if there were a cluster... you get the idea. then life rapidly gets way better as you walk in, find a table, peruse the menu and ask for a soft drink when the chips come out. warm, fresh, local, free range tortillium plus salsa :-) ribs and burritos... burritos? ribs? ribs! texi-cali ribs!! neither know nor care about authenticity, only care that they are good (and they are) red sauce? green sauce? BBQ sauce? I've learned not to trust anything what claims to BBQ around here although I'm guessing it's the sweet red sticky stuff like in the picture I'm going with Mi Tierra anyway because peppers and onions and other peppers (and mushrooms that don't have to be eaten but they add depth to the flavor profile) plus the rice and beans and salad that comes with all traditional southern food :-) and it's a winner! meats are lightly seasoned and tender and juicy and easily coaxed off the bone onto soft warm flour tortillas ready share space with pickings from the salad plate. my foods didn't particularly need dousing or dosing with bottled heat but there's several to choose from if you're so inclined. not sure if the portions are large or I wasn't so hungry as I thought but half of this went home for breakfast and it was good out of the fridge :-) but really, somebody just has to do something about the parking, how does one tear down a parking lot to start over? read more

What a find! The restaurant is a lovely small Mexican family restaurant. Went in for lunch with my two children who wanted tacos, they had chicken (traditional style, corn with onion and cilantro) and I had a quesadilla. Portions were MASSIVE and the prices were excellent. The food was fast, clean and tasty. What really makes this place worth the fifth star though is the service, they were very attentive, made up special plates for the children (2 tacos each but they were so big they only ate one), and the owner came to the table to thank us for coming in, and made sure we felt like family. Kids burrito- met the test! Junior size so perfect for a 9 year old. Chicken enchiladas were tasty and nicely presented. Guacamole is a must with the chips! Salsa was freshly made and perfect even for kids. Burrito covered in cheese for the other adult in the party was promptly demolished. The owner stopped by to welcome us and sent a special sweet to top off our meal - great end to our visit. Will be back. Great spot for the whole family. read more

It said it was 'authentic' Mexican food but it definitely was not!! I just moved from California so had high hopes but ended up very disappointed. I went in and placed and order to go. The staff was very nice but got my order very wrong. I asked for 3 burritos and 2 orders of tacos and ended up with 5 burritos. There was nothing Mexican tasting about the food. It was stir fried peppers and onions with meat and rice that was supposed to be Mexican and a tablespoon of beans. I'm not trying to sound rude or pompous, but this was not the Mexican food we're used to. read more

Stumbled across this restaurant online by accident and decided that we had to try it, based on the unusual name and online pictures of burritos covered in cheese sauce. We wanted to try a variety of different items, so we ordered the rib burrito, pork burrito, steak flautas, and a side of ribs. Each dish was more excellent than the last. The ribs were so tender, the meat literally fell off the bone. They were seasoned perfectly and were delicious alone and in the burrito. The pork and steak were also amazing. Dropped by on the way back from Lk Norman St Park. At 5:00 pm Saturday only 3 customers. Ordered a ground beef nacho. Fast service and food to table. Large quantity. Sadly the ground beef was the finely ground kind you'd get on a chill dog. I was hoping for shredded beef or at least homemade hamburger. I would try another time but order a different dish. Took the family for a scenic drive to the Lake Norman area and found ourselves in Troutman, NC. With limited dining options and hungry kids in the back seat, we pulled in to Burritos N Ribs. We arrived on the early side for lunch, and sat outside. The mask-wearing staff was friendly and happy to help. Our food arrived quickly, having the kids sated kids definitely made the meal easier. One item of note was the al pastor gordita. I was expecting something small, little larger than a single taco. What I got was basically a salad on top of a masa tortilla, definitely impressed! read more

I've been here a few times and one huge thing I always talk about in reviews is consistency, either good or bad. Unfortunately this place is consistently bad. Runny beans, over cooked ribs, mushy rice, low quality ingredients on the burritos.
