Busaba is hands down my favorite restaurant, perhaps ever. I'd give it 5 stars for the Hooky dish, alone. I no longer live in Superior, now in Crested Butte, and I drive 5 hours just to eat Busaba, mostly Hooky with fried tofu, the entire time I'm in town. They use high quality ingredients like organic dairy in their Thai tea, and even make it with a coconut milk. We're making the drive for my birthday this weekend and I aspire to eat my favorite dish 2-3 times while on the front range. The staff and ownership are wonderful. We ordered the yellow curry with shrimp and the pad sew with shrimp. The yellow curry sauce was AMAZING, but the vegetable were lacking just a few pieces of carrots and potatoes , definitely missing the usual veg. Amazingly tasty! Went last night with my boyfriend and four of his friends. For a party of six it was surprising to me that we all got our food at the same time! That's a big plus for me. The food was amazing and just the right proportion. I got the pineapple fried rice with chicken. The chicken pieces were huge and juice and there was plenty of pineapple. I got no spice because I am not a fan of spicy, but I was surprised that was even an option. Most Thai places have mild as the lowest setting. The atmosphere was nice. The place was kind of loud and crowded, so you had to talk a little loud. But other than that it was nice. Despite the small size I didn't feel crowded at my table which was nice. Since we did go on a Friday night it was packed. My boyfriend's coworker had already gotten a reservation, so we didn't have to wait. But I heard the host telling other guests it would be about a 45min wait. Which, for the size and seemingly booming popularity of the place, sounds about right. The panang curry at medium spicy was pretty spicy but had to have been one of the best panang I've ever had. The pad see eww at medium didn't have much heat as the curries. Awesome food and people! I am impressed with how clean they keep everything and their protocol post-Covid world. My husband has a special order and they always get it right and are nice about the substitutions. I have tried a lot of things on the menu as is and love it! High-caliber restaurant! Pumpkin curry was a special not on the tempting menu, and it was well worth it. Came early for supper on a Monday, and they were already busy. A bit under staffed it seemed but they had everything under control. Dessert: Pumpkin and taro balls in coconut sauce (Bua Loy) was a dream in the mouth. Pretty much everything I've eaten there is delicious (their cocktails are good too!), and I especially like the fact that they can make many dishes gluten free, vegan, etc, and that it's marked clearly on the menu. The only complaint is that it is almost a guaranteed wait. If you come at a busy time such as the lunch rush or a weekend dinner, it can often be around 45 minutes. It is also closed on Sundays. So I'd recommend going at a time when it's less busy, or taking out. Also my top food recommendation is the drunken noodles, amazing! read more

BEST THAI FOOD EVER.... I have visited Busaba for several times. Never have I ever been disappointed with their any services nor their food. It's absolutely incredible! Due to pandemic, their dine-in services are not effective but their take out is always worth waiting. I order their takeouts and I do not mind their wait time at all. Not even surprised that they have longer wait time, given the food and service they provide. Weekends get busier in the restaurant, but the staffs are always sincere and work hard to serve our food on time. I like their Pad Thai - best in the entire town, including Panang Curry, Bangkok fried rice and drunken noodles. My mouth is watering whilst I'm writing this review. Want authentic Thai food? One of the best Thai restaurants I've been to in CO. We love the egg rolls, basil chicken, green curry, and the noodle dishes. Everything is very flavorful, without tasting super processed or salty. We've always gone on Saturday nights so they do get really busy. You can't make reservations unless you are a party of 5 or more, so be prepared to wait (more in the winter without the patio tables). Been coming to Busaba since they opened, and it's still by far the best Thai food in Boulder County. Once you get seated, food is usually served quickly, too. But a few things have slipped that have pulled my review down from five stars. Busaba used to serve fresh ginger tea back in the day, and I remember their green tea also being excellent. Now, both are in tea bag form, and the green tea is bland, not a worthy complement for such good food. Also, the overhead lighting in the restaurant feels like a retail store or a medical clinic -- don't know what they changed, but it's harsh and fluorescent now, ruining the atmosphere for dinner. And lastly, the young hosts -- who are friendly and efficient -- do need to up it on professional presentation, however. The guy who seated us was wearing a sloppy sweatshirt, baggy canvas pants and grungy tennis shoes -- not suitable attire for a decent restaurant. If Busaba would polish the details to the level of its excellent food, it would be a superb dining experience all the way around. read more

So we love this place, but have been disappointed a few too many times now. We used the online order system and drove 45 minutes to pickup our food at the time we had been told by their system, to only get called 10 minutes out from our pickup that it would be a 2 hour wait now. So once again a huge waste of time and driving because they don't honor their own online system. read more

Good golly, I did not know we had this jewel of a place right here in the 80027. The place was packed on a Tuesday night, and we were greeted with a signboard indicating that "Patience is a Virtue", as a reflection of how busy it was. That chilled us out and we were able to just roll with the ups and downs of a very busy place. The food was pretty incredible. Everything was fresh and rich and flavorful - we had summer rolls, which were bright and crunchy, delicious potstickers, some Thai raviolis that the shrimp-eaters raved about to started. Service was super-friendly and really caring, even as our server was running from table to table answering questions, taking orders, delivering food, inquiring with customers. The mains were absolutely awesome - we all ordered noodle dishes, and everyone was thrilled. The no-spice was nice and mild, the medium had a nice burn, and the hot --not the Thai hot-- was just right for a the one who likes it that way. Various proteins, from tofu to catfish to chicken and pork, were all super tasty. The seasoning was rich and everything just shined. We had a great meal here, and will be returning. Stumbled here on a Friday lunch with coworkers. The first thing I will say is that this is not a place you can come to for a quick bite. It definitely takes a while to get your food and there's even sign at the entrance about patience (lol). So with that mind, I think the food was worth the wait. The server was friendly and actually hilarious so that's always a bonus. We all ordered the drunken noodles and I got mine hot - which was actually perfect! Busaba was a great experience and had all the components of a wonderful restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, but not over bearing. The food was delicious, served quickly, and full of flavor. I got edamame and pad see ew which was delicious and the perfect amount of spice. I liked that you can tell them how much spice you wanted, from no spice to "even hotter". They give great portion sizes and ending with mango sticky rice was delicious.
