    Chicken sandwich with pesto

I've been to bushfire twice now. The first time I visited, I ordered their grass hamburger. It was very juicy and made fresh. The second time I went, I ordered the steak bowl with brown rice and veggies. I was a little disappointed in this dish because I felt like it didn't have much flavor to it. The steak wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped and the veggies needed a little spice or something. But I would definitely come back because I really like the hamburger and both times the parties I was with order the chicken sandwich and they both said it was delicious so I definitely want to try that next time. It's a very clean restaurant and has a very nice atmosphere. They're seating inside and outside. Bathrooms were nice and clean. I think it's a great new addition to that little corner of restaurants.

Recently opened in Cypress, Bushfire Kitchen is a nice fast casual spot for getting food that feels both healthy and like you're getting a meal at a sit down restaurant. I got their sustainable Salmon Plate. The salmon is grilled and topped with sun dried tomatoes, capers, and parsley. The salmon was cooked just right, moist and flakey. I also tried some of the Peri Peri Chicken. This comes with peri peri sauce, but it's tasty and not spicy! All of their plates come with two sides and their house-baked focaccia with scallion sauce. Between the two plates, I got to sample the Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Grandma's Mac and Cheese, Miso Glazed Broccoli (seasonal), and French Fries. Plus we ordered an extra side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes because it just sounded so good! So nice and creamy--would definitely get these again! I also enjoyed the Mac and Cheese which is baked, so the cheese is not too runny, which I enjoyed! Wish they would keep the broccoli side around, but in the meantime, I'll be getting the Brussel Sprouts! We also had the Quinoa and Power Greens Salad. It has quinoa, black rice, arugula, baby kale, baby spinach, roasted beets, local avocado, chickpeas, orange segments, and a house made soy and orange vinaigrette. It had a good mix of ingredients, and the dressing was tasty. Lastly, I was surprised to see that they have empanadas! I love empanadas, so we decided to try all three. They have a Chicken Empanada, Beef Empanada, and a Veggie Empanada. They also have a seasonal empanada--this time was Peaches and Cream. Out of the empanadas, the chicken and veggie were my favorites. The chicken has basil pesto, sun dried tomato, red onion, peas, and feta cheese. The veggie has a colorful mix of spinach, roasted corn, bell peppers, potato, cilantro, onions, and pepper-jack cheese. Empanadas are served with a delicious housemade chimichurri sauce! Make sure to give it a dip!

Another Bushfire Kitchen in the OC! I've been to the Brea location so many times so I'm glad we have a new location in Orange County! There's not a dish I've had here that I didn't love. But honestly, the main favorite out of everything was the gaucho steak sandwich! That with the sweet potato fries was absolutely delicious! This location is already well loved by the community with so many people in and out of the location so it makes me happy! The staff here is great! Even when you sit outdoors they come by and check on how you're doing, which i appreciated a lot. There's a lot of parking so you can choose take out as well and keep it moving!

Decided to come here because we heard great things about this place. We stopped by for an early dinner. I got the chicken bowl, you pick your base, and a topping. I went with veggies for the base it's a. Extra $2.50 and all the other toppings is extra cost except for the veggies so I went with double veggies. The chicken is very tasty and moist. Good seasoning, it does come with a side of teriyaki sauce. Service is great, the staff member was helpful and knowledgeable. You order first, grab your number and sit at a table if you decide to dine in. Lots of seating area , and clean location

New spot here in cypress..... I wasn't aware until instagram. Thank goodness lol..... we really wanted to try.... Unfortunately it was not good. I ordered 2 empanadas (beef) they were luke warm very bland, thank goodness for the chimichurri that was flavorful. But then I couldn't taste empanada. My husband ordered the a fish plate with a side of veggies same thing very bland. The veggies were good. Service was also good. The ambience was great very clean. For dessert we had a strawberries and cream empanada now that was warm but it didn't even taste like dessert. I also had a double chocolate cookie ummm terrible......Maybe I just didn't order the right thing. No idea but unfortunately it was just a one time visit for us. Ok byeee

We were in the area and had to stop by for lunch at this newly opened location! Ordered at the counter; the staff were so upbeat and helpful, telling us the current specials and giving recommendations. They brought our melas to the table after a brief wait. Everything we tried was outstanding. The beef was cooked nicely and seasoned, the veggies still a little crisp. Hubby tried the Korean cauliflower for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Just a little kick to it. The chimichurri sauce is so yummy, I could put that on everything. One of the staff that stopped by to check on our table gave me another little portion of it to take home. I could eat any entire pan of the focaccia bread!!! So good. The En Fuego burger was delicious but not as hot and spicy as we expected. I love that there is good flavor on everything, not just salt, and they use quality ingredients for the price.

Maybe this place is still working out the kinks. The dinner took 30 minutes for our order to come out. Not anyone's fault perhaps but it is slow for a quick type of meal. Ordered a blt and the chicken sandwich. It was just ok. A little disappointed in the way it's ran. Giving it a little grace since it's new but I'm not sure I'd come back.

Hello Fellow Yelpers This restaurant just opened up and thought we give it a try. Well my burger came out luke warm, very greasy and had a piece of paper in it. I just returned it for a refund. Sweet potato fries were okay. Tri-tip BBQ sandwich was a bit dry, not enough sauce Pomegranate lemonade is tart. But some people like that. The manager was great and gave me a cookie to make up for the burger issue. Remember to do random acts of kindness as it will make everyone feel wonderful Follow me for more awesome reviews.

A fun new place to try! When I reached the front of the line I was greeted and given a few recommendations. I ordered the gaucho steak sandwich with some fries. I also added a peaches and cream empanada as a treat. The fries were really good. Totally recommend. The sandwich was good but I'd try and sub a few things next time for my preference. I felt like the bread was too thick for the toppings. I took off half the ciabatta and it was better. The steak was great! I also enjoyed the empanada. I'd go back and try a few more things.

There is a new corner spot on the Boardwalk in Cypress. Plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. Bushfire offers a variety of fresh salads, bowls, plates and sandwiches. Everything is locally sourced. Prices are reasonable from $13.00- $20.00 for most things. The real winner was the chicken empanada with house made chimichurri sauce. At $4.95 a pop they are well worth it. Order everything at the counter and take your number to the table and staff will deliver to you. We ordered the California Burger with Grandmas Mac and cheese. As well as the steak sandwich with roasted Brussells. Everything was very good. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and topped with bread crumbs. The brussels were just okay. They were baked/roasted and I wish they were roasted a little longer. They have self serve Bushfire soda and housemade lemonade. The lemonade is very sweet. Staff is very friendly and are being trained well. They kept on checking on everyone and refilling drinks. I hope they make it here in Cypress.

This new location is at the Boardwalk plaza in Cypress. I was able to attend the Bushfire pre-tasting event prior to their grand opening. They provided a choice of complimentary bowls, sandwiches, burger, and salad. They also gave a free side ad well. Their other menus on the menu was for purchase. I tried their Thai curry bowl with jasmine rice and veggies. The bowl was very flavorful. Once it was mixed, the rice portion was a bit overpowering and I had to dig for the chicken and veggies. The California burger was delicious. I really enjoyed their garlic aioli. The default is meat cooked medium but you can ask for it to be more cooked. The brussel sprout side was good, but I was expecting it to be crispy. Their raspberry lychee lemonade was a punch of flavor and refreshing. They have a lot of their menu as well as sweet treats. They have daily happy hour from 2-5pm. There are plenty of tables indoors and outdoors. There's a restroom in the back. I didn't see a single trash can inside the restaurant though. The service for the pre-grand opening tasting was great and everyone was attentive and check in on how the food is. This spot is close to my work and so I'll definitely be coming here with my coworkers.

We stopped this new location for dinner. We ordered the salmon bowl and a steak bowl. Both were served with fresh delicious ingredients. Service was friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back to try their menu items. Plenty of parking.

My 2nd time to Bushfire (different locations each time). Ordered their summer special salad which came with grilled chicken. Quality is high but the portion size was disappointing (about the size of a side salad, perhaps a bit bigger). Even the bread was extra (1.50) for a small piece of foccacia. Total was 21 bucks incl tax! Sorry, Bushfire, I can duplicate this salad at home for half thr cost or for 3 days worth for lunch!

As part of this revamping process, TOGO'S migrated their rewards system to a different platform, and if you successfully migrated your account over, you get a $2 off reward that is valid for 2 weeks. My $2 off reward was going to expire in 2 days, and I was planning a quick trip to the area to visit a couple other businesses in the same intersection, both of which had offers that were going to expire the same day or the following day as well. I normally wouldn't go this far for a TOGO, but was definitely willing to make an exception this time around. This TOGO'S in Cypress is located on the southwest corner of Katella and Knott. The dining space inside is quite ample, much larger than the Long Beach location I must say! There was a large family sitting in the far corner on the left hand side, but towards the right, there was an employee, Logan, who was ready to assist me. As I was looking at the menu, I didn't like how the menu was kind of scrambled around. What do I mean by this? So I was intending to get a mini 3" sandwich to redeem my $2 off since percentage wise, that'd be really good savings there. The right side of the menu specifies the sandwiches that can be made miniature, but the sandwiches are denoted by their assigned numbers. The numbered sandwiches aren't in any particular order, so without Logan's help, I would have had to bounce back and forth between different sides of the menu to understand which sandwiches come in a 3" size, and for how much? Such a cumbersome way to present that part of the menu that I really wish TOGO'S would consider reformatting the menu for ease of readability. But I'm starting to digress. Logan did help me out by specifying the four mini sandwiches that I was initially looking at. I thought about the #3 Turkey and Cheddar, but once he told me the #20 was Albacore Tuna, I decided to go with that. Tuna sandwich for less than $4? Count me in! Logan asked me a couple questions: What type of bread, and would I like all the produce? Since I'm trying to get more whole grains and vegetables in my diet, I said whole wheat and yes, respectively, to his questions. However, Logan was trying pretty hard to sell me on a kids meal, which also comes with chips and a bottled water, despite me not being a kid, except maybe at heart lol. I did ask him how much a Kids Meal was, and he had to go to the register to look it up. It was a couple dollars more than a mini Albacore Tuna sandwich, but since I was planning to get food at a neighboring eatery, I passed on the kids meal and settled for the mini sandwich. While Logan was crafting my sandwich, he asked his co-worker, or maybe supervisor, Brian, to ring me up. After scanning my QR code for the migration offer, the $2 came off, no problem, and I paid. Shortly after I paid, Logan had my sandwich ready in a takeout bag. I asked for a water cup, and he gave me one, no problem as well. I took the sandwich and water cup to a table by the window to enjoy, but the first thing I noticed was a small piece of bread stuck to the outside of the wrapper?! Well, not so great presentation up front, but after unwrapping the sandwich, I found the #20 Albacore Tuna to be quite good! Unfortunately, it seemed Logan missed a few of the vegetables like the olives, jalapenos, and the cucumbers, which you can request in the TOGO'S app. Kind of disappointing, especially since he asked if I'd like all the vegetables before crafting my sandwich, but I suppose for those three in particular, you have to proactively ask? Nevertheless, I enjoyed the tuna in this sandwich, and there was still a good helping of vegetables in the sandwich otherwise. However, $5.75 for a mini is still kind of steep for such a small, but mighty, sandwich. Like I said earlier in the review, there are plenty of tables for customers to sit at, so unless an entire baseball team and their parents are there to celebrate a big W on the field, I doubt you'd see a full house in this TOGO'S. Overall, TOGO'S is still a good solid spot for sandwiches even if they're a little pricier than Jersey Mike's or Subway, but they do stuff the sandos with good quality ingredients! Also, despite the hard, but rather unsuccessful selling job, Logan was still a pretty cool employee to do business with.

From the start, the service was excellent and easily one of the highlights of our visit. The cashier was exceptionally kind and even apologized for the wait, generously applying his employee discount to our order to make up for it. Despite the initial delay, our food was ready within 10 minutes. **Spam Brûlée Musubi: 5/5** Nestled between layers of freshly steamed rice, the grilled spam was coated in a glossy teriyaki-style glaze. Creamy kimchi aioli was drizzled on top, while the brûléed brown sugar formed a thin caramelized crust that added a pleasant sweetness and delicate crunch with each bite. It was so good that we ended up getting a second order. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich: 5/5** This sandwich featured incredibly crispy panko-fried chicken that remained tender and juicy beneath its golden crust, smothered in hot kimchi butter that provided a subtle acidity and gentle heat. A touch of brûléed brown sugar introduced a sweet contrast to the savory fried chicken, while the kimchi aioli and macaroni salad brought a mellow creaminess that balanced its richness. Rounding out the sandwich was the Hawaiian bun, which was soft and moist yet nicely toasted on the exterior. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken & Katsu Shrimp Mixed Plate: 5/5** The mixed plate was another standout, combining their signature chopped katsu chicken with lightly battered shrimp drenched in hot kimchi butter. The shrimp had a light crispness that gave way to a succulent, snappy bite, while the sauce delivered a bold, umami-forward flavor. Accompanying the proteins were rice and their house-made macaroni salad, which incorporated shredded tuna and mashed hard-boiled eggs into a mayonnaise-based dressing finished with a sprinkle of paprika. These additions elevated an otherwise unassuming side with unexpected depth and complexity. Between the outstanding hospitality and impressive execution, Shootz exceeded expectations across the board, earning its place as my go-to whenever I'm at Rodeo 39.
