The Pot Holder is a solid neighborhood spot I keep coming back to. The food and service are consistently good, and there are plenty of options so everyone can find something. It's also a little nostalgic for me, because I used to go to the Pot Holder in Long Beach back in my teen years. My go-to is the veggie omelette, and the food comes out fast every time. On Saturdays and Sundays they also have a $10 Bloody Mary and mimosa special. Overall, this is a great regular breakfast run spot.

A LB staple, Los Alamitos edition. Came in with my boys for a Saturday morning breakfast and was surprised that we were seated immediately. The interior was small, but they had a large patio with lots of seating. Service was prompt and friendly. We ordered the Tim's Dug Out, the Super Spuds, and a straight up waffle. All the food came out fresh and hot (minus the mushrooms in the Super Spuds, which were slightly browned but still mostly raw). The portions were enormous.

This is my favorite location cos the outside patio seating is nice. I ordered the French Toast Kabobs... super cute and yummy! I will definitely order these again!

Love the location close to home and places I run errands. I get food to go but it is made quickly and stays hot until I get home. Staff is friendly. Food is great. Just wish they stayed open a little later. Have yo plan my day to get there. It has a nice patio. Great breakfast quesadilla.

Haven't been here in years, but I was craving some breakfast and figured I'd change it up. I ordered the "Mexican Omelette" and it didn't let me down. :) The service was great! I'm not sure what was expecting, but I was waited on the entire time, and the woman making the rounds knew how to handle business! Every need was handled and my cup was never empty. The ambiance was that of a short order cafe, lots of breakfast/lunch options and plenty of seating inside and out. In all I'm sure I'll be back, and I hope to see you there as well.

The service was great despite us being asked to move from the original table we sat at for a bigger group. It was fine since we hadn't ordered yet. Service is the reason why the rating is higher than what the quality of the food was. The food tasted alright although my mom did get the runs about an hour after eating here. She had the omelette. She didn't even really eat any of the turkey bacon since it was really soft and not crispy at all. She also said there wasn't a lot of egg and just flavor wise the food wasn't great. She'd give it a 1/5. My French toast was burnt and just a little too hard for me. Not what I'm used to. Flavor was alright, I've had better at mom & pop diners. My mom liked them since they weren't raw. The potatoes (super spuds) wasn't too bad. I'd give it a 2/5. Despite the toppings I still felt like it lacked flavor. The restaurant in general was clean and nice. Not too big or small. It was a little busy so we thought it'd taste better. It was our first time here and in the area so maybe we just didn't choose the right food options but we won't be coming back again to find out :/

I've been eating here for years. I haven't had anything in the menu that wasn't delicious! I've made some pretty weird modified order requests that have all been met and ended up delicious! I've ask for my pancake to be made than then cooked like a French toast... Bomb! I've asked for a Belgian waffle to be made and cooked like a French toast. bomb! Today I asked for my Belgian waffle to be made, then dipped in pancake batter to be put back on the griddle.... It was bidi bidi bom bom Selena!!! Put a lil of their secret berry syrup and it was a wrap! That's been my favorite request so far! But that was only the sweet treat at the end of my breakfast. I ordered my favorite, the Super Spuds and asked for gravy on top... that dish should definitely just come with the gravy!

Wait time on a weeknight was around 15 minutes. Vibes: chill and very family friendly. Casual pizza spot, but also great for date night. Food: The crust of their pizza is very airy and doesn't sit heavy in your stomach plus it just tastes great. I ate the Garlic Paradiso with sausage, which was rich in aromatic flavors from the rosemary and creamy. It does lean more on the salty side compared to their red sauce pizzas. The meatballs are so good and I highly recommend ordering some. They're flavorful, juicy, and the tomato sauce that they are in is delicious. The salads are good too, my favorite being the Caesar, although it is on the heavier side due to the dressing. Delicious food, great service, chill atmosphere, and good parking. Can't complain!

We drove 40 minutes specifically because of an Instagram post by @laoc.eats featuring a prime rib…read morethat looked incredible. Upon arrival, we were informed that the prime rib was only available during Father's Day weekend. It would have been nice if that little detail had been mentioned in the post that inspired the trip. Since we were already there and starving, we decided to stay. Mistake #1. The medium rare top sirloin arrived looking like it had lost a fight with a blowtorch. It was so overcooked and rubbery that we couldn't finish it. We brought the leftovers home thinking at least our dog would enjoy it. She sniffed it and walked away. For anyone who has ever owned a dog, you understand how impressive that is. The meatloaf somehow managed to transport me back to my hospital room after my appendectomy. If you've ever wondered what institutional cafeteria food tastes like with a side of disappointment, order the meatloaf. The coleslaw appeared to be made from aging cabbage with visible brown and pink bruising throughout. To save myself a trip to urgent care, I passed on trying it. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that showed signs of life, but the gravy was so salty it could probably preserve a mummy and contained the dried skin that forms when gravy sits out too long. Even the lemon slices in our water glasses were slimy. The atmosphere felt less like a destination restaurant and more like the dining room of an assisted living facility. The average age of the patrons appeared to be somewhere around 78, which honestly started making sense once the food arrived. The hostess was very nice and our waitress was pleasant, but she seemed just as confused as we were about what was actually available on the menu. We left hungry, annoyed, and wondering how many other people had made the same pilgrimage after seeing that Instagram post. At this point, I have to question whether @laoc.eats actually eats at the places being promoted or just photographs them. This was our second disappointing restaurant recommendation from that account, and it may be the last time we use it as a dining guide. Forty minutes there. Forty minutes back. One edible side dish. I should have just stayed home and made a sandwich.

So I guess you can say, I judged the book by its cover. Being that this Sunday is Father's Day, but today June 16, 2026 is the only day that the whole family can be together, we did an early celebration of Father's Day here at Shenandoah at the Arbor. We had reservations but they were not crowded in any means. Chelsea our server was such a sweetheart. As we looked over the menu, we were served our Apple fritters and got our drinks. Chelsea got our entree orders and with precise timing, our salads came out. The salad was very refreshing with their homemade chipotle ranch. Since they do not serve regular ranch I stayed with the dressing snd it had a mild kick which I enjoyed. I originally wanted either the granny's fried chicken or Country fried pork chop or the country fried steak, but they had a special menu with a Pichaña Roast which I was going to change my original plan, however they ran out, so I went back to one of the original ideas. So collaboratively my two boys and I each ordered one of the fried items so we can each give the other a portion to sample. My wife and daughter both ordered steaks. As the food were served, we all shared a bite for everyone to try each entree. My wife's ribeye was delicious. She ordered it medium, but it came out medium rare which she doesn't mind and it was super tender. My daughter's New York strip was tough even though she ordered it medium rare, the cut was just not as tender. The country fried steak was thin, but it was tender, however not crispy. The fried chicken was a nice sized portion, fairly moist and the pork chop was just very dry. The food tasted good, the portions were great, the service was excellent. I'm not sure how long they are serving the Pichaña for, but I would definitely like to go back to try that.
