I live out of the country and there are no fast-food restaurants, so this is a unique experience for me. This location is neat my dad's house, so I visit it whenever I'm in SA. The fellow at the counter already had a smile as we arrived. I mused over the menu, saying that I really should get the lo-cal grilled sandwich... but then I said I couldn't leave without having the patty melt (with jalapeño, please). This used to be one of my favorites Whataburgers. Fortunately for the business most of the time the restaurant is filled with many students, while unfortunately for me because I don't like being in very loud places. But besides those times that the restaurant is filled with students, I believe the restaurant is very chill, much like any other Whataburger. The food is good, never had a complain so far about anything. Yes they make mistakes, the employees are humans too and they will make mistakes one time or another, but compare to other places, these people actually care for the customer and want to help as much as possible, if they make a mistake they quickly try to fix it. They start out by trying to sell you stuff you do not want. Once I ordered and told them that was it, they kept trying to upsell me. I went to this location for lunch. I could not use my rewards. I asked the cashier and he said everyone's account had been reset over the weekend. I normally have a great experience at this location but today I went a little earlier than usual and ordered the Buffalo whatabites combo. I get home to realize my bites are dry. No Buffalo sauce. After calling the store and speaking to Andrew, he let me know that he took my order and proceeds to argue with me about what I ordered. I order the same thing EVERYTIME. Just returned from getting a breakfast bob and was blown away by how the service has deteriorated. I was asked to pull into the outer lane and I did so. When the service worker came to collect my money he told me to pull up to the yellow line, which was less than two feet forward. I had already shut my engine off so I remained where I was. He demanded that I move my car up 2 feet because he "needed the room". There was one other car there and no shortage of space. I wasn't even near the other car. It was simply a control issue for him. Went here at about 1:00 am on a Thursday night. I think there was only one person working, maybe a couple in the kitchen. I always feel awful for fast food workers that work very late at night, so I make sure to be patient and express my gratitude. Sad thing is that the drive thru has gotten as inconsistent as drive thru's come. 1 time everything is perfect, next time it's just wrong or the next time they've left something out of the order and you have to leave home to go back and get a family members food. The person that handed us our food was extremely rude and slammed the sliding window in my wife's face without responding when she said, "have a good day." 2. They completely forgot my toddler's chicken nuggets from her kids meal. All she got was some fries and a cookie. 3. The food was bland and over priced. Reminded me of work cafeteria food.
