MUST TRY!! I stopped in for lunch on a weekday and Bussin Pizza was quick, delicious, and somewhere I'll definitely return to. I had one of their lunch specials: two slices of pizza and a drink. I believe that you can get any toppings you want, but I just went basic with pepperoni! The pizza was TO DIE FOR!! Seriously good stuff! It was not greasy, the slices were huge, and with some red pepper flakes from the table it was so tasty! I also added the garlic knots. They were filled with fresh garlic, buttery, and soft. Definitely try these when you stop by. The service was quick and although the seating area is on the smaller side, it never felt crowded. The workers were kind and patient while I figured out what I wanted. I will 1000% return the next time I'm in Raleigh. read more

Been wanting to try Bussin Oissa and pasta for a while now. Service was super friendly and lightning fast. We had our calamari order within 5 minutes of ordering! ( forgot to take a picture. lol) Decor was college town/ college student friendly. Minutes away from N.C. State. They had some really good lunch deals for the college kids in the area. 2 slices and get a free soda. Buy a sub/sandwich and get fries and a soda free. Meat lover pizza was good. Crust was cracker thin yet still had a nice bite and chew. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of five stars was the soda machine was out of whack. The syrup was up WAY too high. Pros: None Cons: cheap and miss matched ingredients, inside/outside are not clean so I hate to think of the kitchen conditions. The Philly cheese steak is a disaster. It should be on Italian bread but they use a light Latin/Cuban style. Hardly any beef so the roll is half empty. French fries were over cooked and cold. Cheap flavorless ketchup. I went to this joint when it was the Italian kitchen of Raleigh. I got it multiple times and enjoyed it! This was my first time coming after the name (and owner?) change. The pizza was still pretty good, but it did taste a little different to me. The crust was perfect though and so were the toppings. I got half ricotta and half pepperoni. Both sides were equally tasty in their own respect. I also go garlic knots because I'm a sucker for them. I can't NOT get them. These knots, however, I would skip next time around. They weren't bad or inedible, just a bit dry. Good amount of garlic on it though. Lastly I would just like to point out that I ordered this online and chose a 7:30 pick up time. I got there at 7:29 and the pizza was already a little cold. It was still warm but you could tell it had been sitting for a minute. All in all, I think I would order from them again. read more

I ordered a Sicilian Peperoni pizza to go. They said it would be 10 - 15 minutes. I arrived 15 minutes later and my pizza was barely warm. When I lifted the large pizza it was feather lite. A Sicilian pizza should be thick and heavy. When I opened the box and saw that it was just a basic looking pizza I was terribly disappointed. I took it home anyways because my wife who just was just released from outpatient services was dying for pizza and I hoped it was better than it looked. It Wasn't. The pizza was bland and just plain tasteless, less than minimal sauce and no spices. I will never go there again and would never recommend this place. If I could give it less than one star I Would. Just had the medium cheese pizza which seemed a little over priced but we went on Sunday. But Monday thru Thursday everything is 40% off to students so that is the best time to go. Service was friendly and fast. The ambiance is above and beyond most pizza places with the vines inside being real plants, and a giant dead pool really pulls the whole place together. There is also outdoor seating but the lack of bathrooms is disappointing but understandable. Nice parking lot and outdoor seating as well. read more

Excited to try this spot on a Friday evening. They didn't open too long ago so it wasn't too busy. Everything was awesome. This is probably going to become a regular takeout spot for us. The cheese pizza had the perfect texture, with a crust that was both crunchy and the right amount of chewy. The crust also tasted good, which a lot of NY style crusts around here lack. Would definitely get the pizza again. The Chicken parm was idyllic, it's what you want when you want chicken parm from a pizza place. The penne alla vodka was solid. Not as good as up in NJ/NY, but up there with the best in this area. Overall, a great addition to the Hillsborough Street scene. I'll be back soon. read more

This place nickel and dimes you for everything. While I was standing there waiting for my food, several people were complaining about extra charges. They made me buy an entire entree just to get vodka sauce instead of just charging me for the vodka sauce. The food is formulaic and average. The customer service is less than average. I put an order in 4 hours early for a pick up at 7pm and they didn't start the order until I got there. I tried to prepay and they wouldn't accept the payment over the time.
