Cristo's Pinwheels have gone viral on IG, so my daughter and I decided to see what all the hype was about. We ordered online at 8:15 so that we wouldn't miss the opportunity with them closing at 9. When you order online you get a text that says don't come inside until you get a second text saying your order is ready (due to the small waiting area). We waited until after they said it would be ready and my daughter went inside, it was now 8:53. She waited a few minutes before someone waited on her. Apparently her food had been ready, but no text. We ordered the bruschetta, the buffalo chicken pinwheels and the pepperoni pinwheels. We ate the bruschetta in the car, it was ok. We got home and tried the pinwheels, you get 3 per order. They are very nice sized and very good, I'd give the pinwheels a 5/5. The pinwheels come with Marinara for dipping, a side of ranch is extra. I didn't go inside, but it seems to be a nice dining area and there is seating outside as well. It's located in a shopping center, with plenty of parking. It was my first visit and my co-diner loves this place so I was looking forward to trying it out. My order was the Penne Cristo, which is made with thick cut slices of sausage, grilled chicken, roasted peppers, and a ton of garlic in a white wine sauce. For most people this portion size would be 2 servings worth but I was able to take it all down, I guess I had built up a bit of an appetite that day! The entree came with a fresh house salad, pretty simple, nothing fancy. The house Italian was a good dressing. They also brought over some thick homemade bread from out of the oven. Only thing I would have done is leave the butter at room temp so it could have been a little bit softer and easier to spread. The bar is incredibly small, maybe two or three seats with no TV. And the service was fine, we had two or three people serving us over the course of the evening. I do wish they had more seafood options to balance out a menu that leans towards the hearty side. Pretty good restaurant. Sweet servers. I recommend getting the Brooklyn, which is the margherita looking pizza. We also got the namesake Cristo's pizza which we weren't fans of but our 2.5 year old daughter really enjoyed it! Our server said she liked the supreme the most so we'll probably try that next time. Super DO NOT recommend getting the cheesecake. It was so eggy and crumbly and dry and tasted like what someone who was trying to bake for the first time in their life would have made. Free soda refills. They charge extra for extra sauces. There's a sign up front that mentions it. When you go to the restroom to the far right of the restaurant in the back the ground slopes upward so keep an eye out for that. I tripped walking to it. Went here for dinner on our last night in town, during a visit to see our grandson. My daughter had been there before and was a fan, but we had not. Turned out to be a great choice. At our table, we had the eggplant Parm sub, cheese ravioli, and tortellini Bolognese. All 3 were home runs. And the garlic knots for an appetizer were very good also. Let me first say that I'm usually hesitant going to local Italian restaurants because of the number of mediocre meals that would've been cheaper and better if I made them myself at home. Cristo's is the exact opposite of that. The restaurant itself is unassuming and doesn't scream "my food is amazing" but trust me, THE FOOD IS AMAZING. A group of 7 of us ordered a bunch of things to share them family-style and nothing we had was below a 4/5. It was all so good. Caesar salad - dressing was bomb and perfect amount of dressing and croutons. The bread they gave us was super fresh and delicious. The main events - the pasta and pizza blew my mind. My two favorites, the rigatoni bolognese and the pineapple hot honey pizza were easily 5/5 and if I could I'd rate them higher, some of the best pasta and pizza I've eaten in a good while. The other pizza, the Brooklyn was also delicious and I recommend it. The gnocchi was probably the only thing I would give a 4/5 and it's probably only because it had to go up against the rest of the dishes. The surprise dish of the night was the pear pasta! Definitely something different, a fun change of pace, and the perfect dish to share with people if you want a little bit of richness. Overall, 5/5 will be back as soon as I possibly can. I've ordered takeout twice during COVID: 1st time: pepperoni & sausage pizza and penne rustica (comes with a choice of Caesar or house salad and bread) 2nd time: penne rustica, lasagna and garlic knots (both pastas come with a choice of salad and bread) Apparently penne rustica has been a hit for my out of town guests and husband but I personally have never tried it. The garlic knots are good, but do dry up and get hard fast so be sure to get some help eating it! They aren't small like majority of restaurants. During both times I went ahead and picked up my order inside since I always seem to order right when they close :( but the quality of food and service does not fall short! I keep forgetting to check what time they open, but they apparently close at 8:00pm on the weekdays I've ordered and not the time indicated on Yelp. read more

We moved here two years ago and have struggled to find a place we actually enjoyed enough to return. This is our third visit to Cristo's and it's been amazing each time. I'm used to the Italian food in New England and this reminds me of the food back home. The potato gnocchi is incredible, as is the vodka sauce. Pizzas? I can't speak to any of their other dishes, but the Brooklyn (Margherita) pizza was mediocre at best :/ Heavy tomato sauce with chunks of garlic and the dough was lackluster. We went here on a whim, and were extremely happy we did. Everything we had was delicious, the gnocchi was great, as was the pizza, the cannoli cheese cake was not a bad way to end things either. Our waiter was attentive and a little quirky - and my cup was never empty. I read on here how long the food took but we did not run into that. The thing is I got home and had to talk myself out of going to the fridge for another slice of that pizza - from our to go box because it was just that good. Great food, my only suggestion would be to cut the tomatoes smaller on the pizza. It made the pizza a bit heavy but other than that, all the food had great flavor. The garlic knots were amazing! Atmosphere is cute. Waitress was friendly and attentive. However- food was terrible. The lasagna was way too much bland ground beef. Noodles were over cooked. The ranch for the salad is commercial ranch not homemade and terrible. Bread was good but you really should be serving with oil instead of packets of butter. read more
