The less then stellar: the place smelled like it had been washed with a dirty mop. Having worked in food service before, I know this smell and it was incredibly off putting. My friend and I shared the nachos with short rib and I think they forgot to put on the short rib because it didn't seem to be there. The nachos themselves felt cold and congealed and seemed like they'd been sitting around for a long time (and they came out super quick). We also each got a side of watermelon, which was tasty but felt a little small for the price, and stingy with the fresh mint. Love this place!! It's almost always full so I would highly recommend making a reservation. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice especially while it's nice weather. You need to eat here. You just do. The food and drinks are phenomenal, so flavorful and unique. The service is outstanding. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They accept reservations and honor the seating quickly upon arrival. It's just a great time all around. Stopped by here for lunch to meet a friend and we enjoyed lovely salads. I ordered the garden salad with shrimp and a delicious, creamy peppercorn ranch. Nothing better than a creamy home made tasting dressing. Our service was stellar and I loved the iced tea with lemonade they brought. Personally I've never heard of this place and I'm surprised because everything was nice from the service, the interior, the prices, to the food. We came here around 2 on a Sunday and walked in and sat at the bar. There was a decent amount of people dining in. They had a great brunch and drink menu but we decided to get the vodka pie and nachos off the regular menu. The pizza was great! No complaints. We added basil on top too. The nachos were also delicious- the pulled chicken on it was so flavorful and cooked well. I'm normally not a huge fan of pulled chicken. They were a little stingy on the queso but when we mentioned it to our server she brought us out a big side of queso for free. After that- the nachos were perfection. I was so excited to try this restaurant for my 22nd birthday, unfortunately they wouldn't serve my partner and I drinks when we ordered because we are not from the state. the manager wouldn't give an explanation to why she thought they were fake when we politely asked. We asked the waitress at the end what bar we could grab a drink at close by and she said "there's a great college bar across the street that has a good tequila soda." I had visited Tazza a couple of times before, but this was my first time at the Cameron Village location. First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options. read more

I tried to take my Girlfriend to a relaxing for her birthday. Not the situation that occurred. After a rude and snarky interaction with our server. The on shift manager Makayla met us at our table to recheck our IDs after placing a drink order, no problem I am 23 and my girlfriend turns 22 this weekend. However due to out of state ID and since Makayla works for forensics at NCPD our IDs appeared to be fake. We stayed and had dinner which I will say the team in the kitchen does a great job! The Crab Cake Benedict came with lemon chipotle hollandaise, crispy prosciutto, poached eggs, and green fried rice. The concept sounded great, but the execution fell short. The flavors felt one-dimensional, and the prosciutto didn't pair well with the dish overall. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm, a bit dry, and the chicken lacked seasoning. The saving grace of the dish was the chipotle salsa, which had the perfect balance of heat and smokiness. Picked up a make your own pizza as I was told by several people, including the staff, that it is the best item on their menu. I started with their base of fresh mozzarella and red sauce and added basil and black pepper honey. I was excited when I opened the box and took my first bite. The pizza was a thin crust with the crust getting thicker and bubblier around the edges. After that first bite, it was kind of downhill. There wasn't a lot of flavor in the toppings and parts of it that were very burnt. I don't think I will make it to eat those parts as I couldn't make it past a couple of slices as I was hungry. I ended up having to eat something else when I arrived home as I could not eat anymore of it. Three stars for the amazing customer service and cool atmosphere. I loved the chill vibe and decor. This looks like a cool date night spot. I just wish the pizza lived up to the hype as it would be great to come back here. It makes me sad. read more

This place rules! Tried it for the first time with my husband and toddler and everything was fantastic. They brought out water for our pooch too which we appreciated. We started off with the oven roasted Brussels which are sweet and spicy and topped with dill mustard. Super tasty and great if you like a little kick in your food. For our entrees we ordered the spicy sausage honey drizzled pizza (one of their most popular items), Aspen Ridge flat iron steak that comes with potatoes and a fried egg, and lastly the Mediterranean bowl for our kiddo. All of them were great. The steak was a perfect medium rare. My husband got a bond bros IPA and a malbec as well which he enjoyed. The pizza was tasty too! Loved the bowl which contains hummus and red lentils and a ton of other roughage with a delicious dressing to bring it all together. We ended with the cream cheese flan at our server Isaac's recommendation and it did not disappoint. We were leaning towards the brown sugar pie but ended up loving the flan which basically tastes like cheesecake with a ton of sauce (almost tastes more like dulce de leche to me). The only down side is that the service was a little slow but the kitchen was backed up and it was poppin which speaks to how excellent the restaurant is! Also the bird working on it's nest above me kept dropping bits of nest and other miscellaneous droppings but just move your chair?
