My spouse saw this establishment on a Facebook ad and decided to have us all try it out. While on the way, I decided to call just to ensure this place was in fact open, yet no one answered the phone or Facebook messages. I tried calling a couple of their other locations, and received an error tone when calling. Nonetheless, while it was a drive, it was a rather scenic one which made it seem less than a bit over an hour. Upon arrival, we were only the second family there, so we were naturally a bit uneasy. No one greeted us or asked where we wanted to sit, so we figured it was "seat ourselves". Also upon entering, one of the waitresses was swatting flies against the wall - that was a tad concerning. A bit after sitting down, our waitress came to obtain our drink orders. Upon receipt of drinks, we then ordered our main course and two appetizers - Cajun fries and fried pickles. Both appetizers were extremely small, especially the fried pickles. The pickles were $6.99 and the fries were $3.99. The seafood platter was rather tasty, but before you knew it, the flies were all over our food and drinks. It was rather annoying (and gross) to keep swatting flies while trying to eat. Nonetheless, the platter was seasoned well and overall decent. I asked for the snow crab openers (or something to assist with opening up the tougher areas), but they said they didn't have any since they're always being stolen; they didn't even have a sturdy fork to provide me with (only plastic). The customer service wasn't all that great and the flies were quite annoying. The serving sizes for the price paid for the appetizers was a bit of a downfall as well. This place is a hit or miss when it comes to service. 80% of the time it's a miss. I usually do call in orders for to go at least 20 minutes in advance and they still have me waiting for at least 20 minutes when I get there. The crawfish are decent, but they will add on sneak charges without you knowing so be sure to check your receipt. One encounter, I waited for at least 25 minutes and the cook was in the front talking and laughing with the waitresses for about 20 minutes without even starting my order. It was very frustrating, because I gave this restaurant multiple opportunities to change. But something never clicked. read more

We went for Thursdays lunch special. 3 lbs $14.99. They were large and just the right amount of spice! Extra was provided. To me the corn was too spicy so hubby got that and I had the potato. This place was great! My husband and I took our friend from out of town there. He had never really had crawfish before and this place was the perfect first time for him! The crawfish were fantastic and the prices weren't too bad. I believe it was 7.99/lb but we did the 5lbs for $35 deal they had going on. We added potatoes, corn, and mushrooms for an additional charge and they were all worth it. Atmosphere was great, very family friendly! The food and service used to be great, but today we were there for 4 hours, and the entire last hour was arguing with the server who charged us for the people sitting next to us, and then wanted those ppl to venmo us for the bill. It took forever to get food at our table, they didn't send out the right food the first time for any of our orders, and they charged us for other people's food, and then tried to yell at us about it. I was even invited to the back kitchen to see on the computer how they couldn't fix their mistake and couldn't void the bill, so we'd have to figure it out for ourselves, amongst complete strangers. Then we asked for a manager, and we're told 7 minutes later that he was driving away. Bad service, bad business. They charged us for food we didn't order, which is theft. The people who are running this business now are not the locals who owned it a year ago, they do not care about customer service. They were out of toilet paper the entire time we were there. This is my top favorite crawfish spot but they are always crazy packed lol! I love that they are restocking all day so you are getting fresh crawfish and the flavors are great! To start, our server wasn't attentive when it came to food, drinks, communication about our messed up order, etc., but listening to her rant about the establishment and cook/ arguing with the cook wasn't professional. Our first order, after waiting 30 minutes for crawfish was completely wrong and waited another 30 minutes for our food, with no communication from the server in between. They also only offered us their leftover crawfish from the night rather than discounting our check, so they got money and folks to take home what they were going to throw away since we were there until closing. Went here a couple weeks ago--despite being early in the season, the crawfish were still reasonably sized. And the seasoning was fantastic!! Been eating crawfish prepared by true blue Cajuns my whole life, and these crawfish were some of the best I've had. Definitely going back. Like a similar poster here, I'll start by saying that I have been a regular customer at Busters for years. I started going to the 105 location, but stopped going there due to the rude manager and bad quality/service. This location in Porter was good for a while, but this year it has taken a nosedive. I usually order to go and tip very well just for pickup, but still, even when it's not busy, the service takes forever. Last time I waited about an hour and I only counted like 5 people when I got there. However, this is not the worst part... This has got to be the dirtiest and nastiest crawfish I've ever had. Flavor is super inconsistent, every time it tastes different. The last two times we've taken some home, the crawfish has been soggy, about 1/3 of them have their heads missing and it's extremely dirty and muddy inside. The worst part is that they cook dead crawfish, my wife and I had the misfortune of biting into dead, rotten crawfish and it was disgusting. She stopped eating immediately and I kept going until it happened two more times. Will not be going back, found another place that makes them much cleaner, bigger, fresher, and consistent flavor. It's unfortunate because I live close to Busters, but it's just not worth it. I'm not sure how much longer that can stay open with this quality of food and service.
