Went to Bluewater Seafood for dinner on a Thursday evening. Love that they have indoor and outdoor seating (with misters)! The decor inside was really cute too, all sea themed. Our server, Jozee, was very nice. She told us about the specials and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. We ended up ordering the House Margaritas, which were alright, but I just enjoy lime juice over sweet and sour mix. We also got the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail and the shrimp were cooked perfectly! Then we ordered the Thursday Special (10 Fried Shrimp) and the batter was really good! Lastly we got the Coconut Shrimp and these were also really good! Loved the house made tartar sauce, and the hush puppies were also super good too! Overall, we are totally coming back here and you should try it! read more

We came to Bluewater Seafood because Babe was craving seafood, and let me tell you... this experience started off a little shaky but managed to pull itself together. We were seated at immediately, but after sitting for a few minutes with no greeting, I realized something wasn't right. I had to walk back to the hostess stand to let them know we hadn't been assigned a server. Turns out, we were seated in a section that didn't even have a server until 5:00 PM. That's not a small oversight--that's a breakdown in communication at the front. Now, to their credit, once our server stepped in, things started to turn around. Drinks came out quickly. I ordered my usual Long Island, and I loved that it was served in a branded mason jar--cute touch, definitely added to the vibe. (Still wondering if I was supposed to keep it or not ) We started with appetizers: The crawfish pistolet was the standout. Flavorful, rich, and honestly the best thing we had. My only complaint is they needed a little more bread to balance all that filling. The fried green tomatoes were cooked well and the portion was generous (almost two whole tomatoes), but they were under-seasoned. I had to add salt and rely on the sauce to bring them to life. Now let's talk about the menu--it's huge. We're talking seafood, burgers, fried chicken, boils, ceviche... everything but the kitchen sink. And while options are nice, it does make you question how fresh everything really is when a restaurant is trying to do that much. Overall, this place felt like it was trying to recover from a rough start--and partially succeeded. There are definitely some highlights (that pistolet!), but also some inconsistency that keeps it from being a full win. Final verdict: 3.5-4 stars. My husband and I ate here today for lunch, and I'd say lackluster. The food wasn't bad but it also wasn't good. My shrimp basket was tasteless. Obviously the fries were frozen. I wanted to like this place. I really did. The service was fine, helpful. However when we ordered the captain's feast, we were not told that they were out of crawfish and that extra shrimp would be substituted. I would have been fine but give a girl heads up. I could have ordered extra of my favorite crab legs. The boil itself was just mid. But I digress. The cocktails were solid if you like fruity tropical drinks. The booths suck. They are very short with a very straight back. Uncomfortable is an understatement. I suggest sitting at a table. Also, there was a trim piece at head level at my table that protrudes and I hit my head a couple times on it. What really put me off was the brush off from the manager. He basically told me to kick rocks when I mentioned it was dangerous and I could see a kid hitting their head and being a lawsuit. I don't appreciate the brush off nor the attitude when I mentioned that I hit my head which is why I knew it was a problem. Would I come here again? Probably not. read more

Forever has been my favorite and always go to seafood place. I went to the 1960 location until 2920 opened and only go to this one. Owner Brad passed while back but his wife has been great about not changing anything! Which is perfect. All my recommendations that don't ever disappoint. -grilled salmon with the green beans -crawfish- spicy garlic -Captain catch - spicy garlic - crab legs - dungeoness too- spicy garlic - grilled oysters - Rockefeller - green beans - fried pickles - fried zucchini - fried green tomatoes - pistolette - Brownie sundae - Banana pudding Staff is always nice and never had any issues. I really like this place the laid back vibe very casual even has a very nice covered patio on nice days it's very pleasant. You feel very coastal . The food here is always very good my only disappointment was some really small tasteless raw oysters once . The shrimp cocktail Mexican style is amazing it is so good I could drink the sauce with a straw .... And have . It is kid friendly and they have a great bar that will serve you there if you like me sometimes dine alone. Great menu choices . Grilled oysters are sometimes available but they are great but only a couple days a week check the website I do think they have them every Sunday . Parking is adjacent in a lot of their own and in front but it's usually crowded because there are 3 other restaurants in this center. Bluewater Seafood is a great spot for a casual family dinner--the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. I highly recommend the oyster sampler; the garlic butter oysters were my favorite. Honestly, I'd suggest getting all of them prepared that way--they're amazing! The mushroom oyster was well-seasoned, and the pico de gallo oyster had a nice, fresh flavor. I also really enjoyed the crawfish queso--it's rich and cheesy, just the way I like it--and the tortilla chips were warm and fresh. Pretty early in the crawfish season but I couldn't wait anymore. I called to confirm They had crawfish, yes, they do 9.99 a pound, two pound minimum. yeah, a little on the high side considering we already know they are going to be very small . I came anyway. Gillian was my server and from the minute I sat down until now, GILLIAN WAS ON THE BALL, everything has been spectacular. I orderED 2 pounds of the spicy garlic extra spicy. I ordered butter and mayo and Lemons Anda beer, the beers are not relevant. Gillian set me up like a star and within minutes. I had my 2 pounds of crAWfish. the crawfish season has officially started for me. During this season. I put gloves, my own seasoning and toothpicks in my car. You never know when you're going to get the urge for some crawfish. Blue fush did notdisappoint. They were for sure garlicky enough, and I did add some of my own spice to kick it up. But they were on point with everything else. They were delicious. And I am thrilled that I was able to find a place I have confidence in returning to. To start off, there was only about 15 people in the restaurant so I thought great, I'm hungry we should get our order in pretty fast; boy was I wrong! It was only 3 people in my party. Me, my grandma, and my grandpa. We got sat down by the hostess and looked through the menu. We already know what we want because we go to the 1960 location often. 7 minutes pass by and I'm thinking okay we're gonna be patient. Keep in mind the place isn't busy at all. 7 more minutes pass by and we see people who got in after us who got sat down and they got their drinks already. Keep in mind no one has even approached us to get our drinks. So about 16 minutes no service the guy from the front finally comes and decides to ask for our drinks. I don't even think the guy was a waiter he was in the front. We just decided to get up and take our business somewhere else because this was one of the most ridiculous service I've seen in my life. And when we're walking out we run into the manager and all he's says is " are you sure you want to leave?" This wasn't even our loss because we order snow crab and other expensive dishes and leave a great tip. Seemed like nobody wanted to serve us and make money. Do yourself a favor and go to the 1960 location because this 2920 location has horrendously bad service. Never again! read more

Came here on a Sunday for our mommy/Daughter crawfish date night! Prepared to try their crawfish at the end of its season we figured why not have our last Hoo-Rah! The restaurant was a little packed but the environment was still great! our server was amazing and the food was just as we guessed, so freaking good! In the area for a wedding and on night one seafood was the mood. There's some place in the spring area that my family likes but I had to change that. I took a gamble, and I'd say it paid off. I didn't know what to expect at first but the moment I saw the buckets in the table, I knew it had to be decent at the very least. I set my expectations low but they exceeded them. Traveling with a midwesterner, they had to try the fried alligator and they loved it! I forgot that "everything is bigger in Texas" and the coconut shrimp won the battle. They were large and in charge! Pretty tasty though. If you're a fan of cocktail shrimp, don't get the small or regular size because you may walk away disappointed. This is a really cute place to eat and the overall service was great. The waitress was very kind and the margaritas were really really good! I had the crab legs and they were just not good at all it was like they just poured hot sauce on my crab legs. I only ate 3 and just didn't eat anymore. For 50$ worth of food I maybe ate 2/3 of my meal. The Fried pickles were really good so I did eat alot of those. I just think the seafood was bland. This place isn't terrible by any means I just think spending $50 and not eating much of your food is not pleasant. read more

We had Liza as our server, she was so awesome! My first trip to this establishment was in 2010, it stank like gross fish and the crawfish tasted like it had been in a cooler for a day or more. Today it all changed. I'm pretty sure we originally asked for blue point oysters and Liza informed us they were out. So we ordered 1/2 dozen gulf oysters instead. They were not gulf oysters.
