I have never personally been mistreated here though. I'm always greeted. On rare occasions where they are occupied when I enter, they end up checking up on me and making sure I'm okay. I'm always asked if I need help finding anything or if I have questions. A handful of times I asked for clarity on a product or their opinion & they always assisted. Sometimes they lack smiles but some people just aren't naturally bubbly and while that's a deal breaker for some customers it doesn't bother me. Great products. Great prices. Customer service is a very personal experience.

I quickly found the product I wanted and after looking over colors for a few minutes then went up to the front desk to ask for assistance. The woman was as nice as necessary, pointed out a few colors that she said looked like a match. No offer to swatch my face with the product testers on display. Not much else to add in her assistance. I took it from there and just picked a color I thought would work and checked out. I've since started ordering my products online.

You can barely get a body through, it would be impossible to get a stroller or wheelchair down most aisles. This needs to be rectified immediately. Typically I do not put a lot of personal details in my reviews, and they are NOT lengthy- but for this one I need to do just that to explain what happened. My sister was here from out of state, and she has a student beauticians license- currently enrolled at the Metro Beauty Academy in Pennsylvania- A well known beauty school in the area. I'm not trying to be a name dropper, but Nick Arojo from "What Not to Wear" actually teaches classes there. When she came here, she was going to perform a few hair services for me and my friends- she was paid for all of these. It was a good opportunity for her to work on her skills, and we chose Salon Centric for her to purchase her equipment. Although they have a decent selection of products in the store, and it is very clean and well kept, the incredibly rude employees that work there make the good attributes minuscule First, before we even started looking, my sister asked one of the employees if she could even purchase items there since she was out of state. The lady reluctantly and dismissively said it would be fine, but she could only purchase $50.00 worth of products per day as a student. My sister asked her a couple more questions about the products, and the clerk was equally rude and acted like she was annoyed that we were asking her anything. Keep in mind we were the ONLY people in the store that afternoon. She was incredibly rude and unhelpful. There were two other girls working there that day that didn't say a word to us. Two days later, we went back, and this time another rude clerk was working there only this one was a wretch on steroids! I have never in my entire life been treated with such condescension! I have worked customer service before, and it is not difficult to be nice to people. First, we shopped for about half an hour, and she made recommendations and became irritated and slightly belligerent when we chose different products. She even asked my sister in a snotty tone, "Are you even a real beautician?" My sister told her that we had been in the other day and made sure we were going to be able to purchase again- the lady said that we could, and that we could actually spend up to 100.00. This was the beginning of the confusion, and misinformation. Only when we were ready to check out did this woman tell us that my sister was actually not allowed to shop at their store and that the clerk from the other day had made some kind of error. I could go on on and and write the conversation verbatim, but in short: 1) She asked my sister how she went to school in PA and lived in WA, and asked as if she had "found us out" and that we were trying to rip her off or something!! What an idiot! We explained that she was visiting. 2) Then she made a snide remark about my sister's school- That she had never heard of it. And made some rude comments under her breath 3) THEN the lies started, and none of her stories matched up. First she told us that headquarters had closed my sister's account, and that they were closed and she couldn't call them. Then she magically realized there was a number she could call, and she called them and said that the company told her my sister couldn't purchase anything from them because it was against their policy- Even thought just the day before, the other clerk who opened the account told us that she could use any Salon Centric she wanted across the country. THEN after we explained to her the apparent misinformation we had received before, she stated that she was in the store when the other clerk had opened our account, and that the clerk had given us bad information. WHAT!??!?! Nothing makes sense. In all honestly, I could have understood if the girls had just made some mistakes, but their level of rude, abrasive, condescending, LACK of customer service was unbelievably inexcusable! Both of the women should be fired! I have literally never had someone treat me with such discourtesy. The worst part about it was their pretentious behavior, treating us as if we were trailer trash in Beverly Hills. I will never recommend this chain to anyone, and I will make SURE that their corporate headquarter receives this review also. It is NOT difficult to be kind to people.
